Mic's Review of the show:

ABC Pro Wrestling re-debuted last night in Union City, NJ in front of 70+ fans. The following was seen by the live crowd, and was taped for a future DVD release:

Ghanda Rhea Akbar broke up the Star Spangled Banner, to kick off the show. Ghanda Rhea Akbar insulted the American and Latino fans in the crowd, which enraged Tito Santana, who was signing autographs in the back of the building. Tito rushed to the ring to confront Akbar, but Akbar bailed. Tito then challenged Akbar to a match later on, which Akbar begrudgingly accepted.

JD Michaels d. Nick Berk

In a Three-Way Tag Team Match to Crown ABC Tag Team Champions
Monsta Mack/Bison Bravado d. Jimmy Hustler/Bad Billy Walker & The Suicide Kings

NOTES: The Christopher Street Connection called ABC Wrestling to say they weren't satisfied with themselves and their recent performances. The CSC said that they didn't want to disappoint the fans with a bad match, and rather than not performing at 100%, the CSC pulled themselves off the event.

Havok, who was originally scheduled to team with Monsta Mack, was violently ill and unable to make the event. Therefore, Mack cut a promo explaining Havok's whereabouts, and Bison Bravado, looking to make a name for himself, teamed up with his former Team Turtle partner.

Despite having an obvious hatred for each other, due the NY/Philly war in other promotions, Mack & Bison were able to co-exist and pick up the win, but not without problems between the pair. The finish saw Monsta Mack hit his patented frogsplash, only for Bison to push Mack out of the way and pick up the pinfall for himself. Tempers flared between the two, but regardless, the duo was able to pick up the ABC Tag Team titles.

Dana Dameson came out next and was interviewed by Dexter Weiner. Dana said alot has changed in her life and she was there to scout talent for the future. Dana said she's also taking precautions, and introduced her new bodyguard, Rob Feinstein. Rob Feinstein came out and said he had thoughts about debuting in "ABC Wrestling, because he got it confused with NBC." Alicia then came out to confront Dana and called Dana some not so nice names, such as a "Rat" and a "slut". After Alicia was done with her verbal tirade, Alicia introduced Johnny D, and his newest protege, Devious.

Upon entering the ring, Devious, who was wrapped around in chains, had black face paint and had spikes all over his arms, grabbed Dana by the throat, as instructed to by Jonny D. Before Devious could obliterate Dana, Joey Image ran out to protect Dana. Feinstein quickly grabbed Dana, and gave the crowd a show, as Dana's bare ass was exposed to the crowd as Feinstein brought her to the back.

Jonny D., infuriated with Joey Image breaking up the beatdown, challenged Joey Image to take on his monster and then we saw...

Devious w/Jonny D & Alicia (The D-Factor) d. Joey Image

This was a squash match to put over the large Devious. Devious won with a really sick version of a muscle buster, that looked so painful, that even Ref Hanson looked like he felt it.

For the JAPW Tag Team Titles
(c) The SAT (Joel & Jose Maximo) d. The Dead Presidents (Lo Lincoln/Boog Washington)

JAPW was well represented in this match, as Boog Washington used a weapon to break up the SAT from winning the match via pinfall. There could be a potential rematch between these two in the future.

Tito Santana d. Ghanda Rhea Akbar

Ghanda Rhea looked like he had the match won, as he cheated, and pinned Santana with his feet on the ropes. However, after getting the cheap pinfall win, The SAT's, Tito's Latin bretheren, came out to tell Ref Hanson what happened. The fans pled their case as well, and the match was restarted. Once the match was restarted, Tito quickly rolled up Akbar, but only got two. However, several minutes later, coupled with an "El Burrito" flying forearm, Tito was able to pick up the clean 1-2-3 victory.

During intermission, a fan wearing a Rey Misterio Mask and UXW's own, Anthony Deblasi, were seen taking pictures with Tito Santana. The same masked fan was seen heckling all night as well, and would really get loud during EC Negro's match.

The following took place after intermission:

April Hunter came out to address the fans. April explained how she was severely injured, as she's been told by her doctors to take a month off from training & wrestling. (Stay tuned to the DOI for a full DOI Update on her status.) After explaining to the fans about her injury, April turned on the fans and said they didn't deserve to see her anyway. Mercedes Martinez, April's scheduled opponent, was fuming about not having a match against April, but before she could attack April, JD Michaels, April Hunter's real life fiancee, stepped in and we had...

Mercedes Martinez d. JD Michaels w/ April Hunter

Mercedes was able to get the upset win, after the treacherous antics from JD & April backfired. After the match, since the fans didn't get to see the heavily advertised April/Mercedes match, Mercedes challenged April Hunter to a 30-minute Iron Woman match at the next ABC show, tentatively scheduled for 5/12 in Totowa, NJ.

Battle Royal

The last two men remaining would go on to have a one-on-one match to crown the first ever ABC Pro Wrestling Champion

EC Negro & Grim Reefer w/ J-Train outlasted 10 other ABC wrestlers, to earn the right to fight for the ABC Heavyweight Title.

For the ABC Heavyweight Championship

EC Negro d. Grim Reefer w/ J-Train

This match definitely sells the DVD alone, as it was a 25 minute back and forth brutal affair, with both of these men really hitting their strides. The match started in the ring, but quickly made its way on the floor, where both wrestlers were thrown all over the place, wiping out rows of chairs in the process! The crowd was literally on their feet, as both guys battled back in the ring, where tons of false finishes and near submissions took place. Negro would eventually be able to pick up the shocking win, pinning the popular Grim Reefer, to become the first ever ABC Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, but it didn't end there as...

POSTMATCH: Negro continued his vicious assault on Reefer, only for J-Train to break it up. The Dead Presidents and Bison Bravado ran out to attack J-Train, as Negro, Bison, Boog Washington & Low Ryda destroyed J-Train and Reefer. However, all of a sudden, the lights went out, and when the lights went back on, the same masked fan who was heckling all night, was in the ring. The masked man took off his mask, and the big surprise wound up being KC Blade!

KC Blade then cut a promo on Negro, asking where Negro was for him, and brought up how the team didn't seem to exist anymore. Blade went ape shit on Negro in the promo, and grabbed a chair, as he threatened to hit Negro with it. However, before he hit Negro, Blade swerved everyone and wound up hitting Reefer & J-Train with a chair. Blade and Negro then did their patented DRS pose and embraced in the ring, as the DRS, the Dead Presidents and Bison Bravado continued the assault on J-Train and Reefer.

With the 5 on 2 beat down in full effect, another huge surprise entered the mix, as Homicide, with Monsta Mack and Deranged ran out to even up the odds, making the sides even, at 5 on 5! Homicide, Mack and Deranged cleared out the ring, and Homicide, said that everyone is talking about ex-tag partners coming back, and he said he was disappointed in his former tag team partner, Boogalou. Several challenges were tossed, as J-Train said he wanted Bison and Grim Reefer wanted a rematach with Negro. However, EC Negro said the only way he'll get in the ring with Reefer again, is if ABC Pro Wrestling would grant him a huge 5 on 5 tag team match, featuring The DRS, The Dead Presidents & Bison Bravado vs Reefer/Deranged/Homicide/J-Train/Monsta Mack! Obviously, there's alot going on between both sides, and ABC Pro Wrestling hopes to work out all the details of this explosive 10 man feud in the upcoming weeks.

POST SHOW NOTES:

ABC Pro Wrestling officials were happy with the show turn-out, but obviously the attendance wasn't what was hoped for. ABC Wrestling will test out different venues, as it is felt that Union City might have too much wrestling right now, coupled in the fact that fans who did show up, had a hard time finding parking.

ABC Pro Wrestling announced a tentative 5/12 return date, to take place in Totowa, NJ. If April Hunter is 100% recovered, ABC Wrestling will put on the first ever Iron Woman's Match, between April Hunter & Mercedes Martinez.

Having feuding tag team champions, is something that has taken place in wrestling's past, but no other feuding tag partners, like Bison Bravado and Monsta Mack, have so much history together and away from each other. It should be interesting to see how the tag team title situation plays out, as it is likely that the champions might even be on opposite sides on upcoming shows.

KC Blade got a huge pop for his comeback, and look for him to pop up on upcoming indy shows soon, as alot of indy promoters have told the DOI that they want to be in the DRS business. Blade is looking forward to getting back into ring shape, but in the meanwhile, will be managing The Dead Presidents & EC Negro on upcoming ABC shows.

For a second show, or for a first show in three years, I thought alot of good stuff was established. ABC definitely had alot of hype going into it, and while it wasn't a JAPW or a UXW or ROH, it was something different, and variety is definitely needed on the indy scene. This show had something for everyone...

ABC Pro Wrestling presented an old-school type of family show, but did have alot of hard hitting action on it. I'd recommend the DVD once its released, and for more information check out the soon-to-be launched website, at ABCProWrestling.com
