WSU 5/18 Results

From Queens, NY in front of 450+

Refs: Hanson, Bennett & John
Ring Announcer: Van Thunder
Commentators for DOIVideo DVD release: LC Queenz & Jerry Fitzwater

Papadon d. Damian Dragon

Mack Daddy Flexxx/Boogalou w/Little Pyscho d. Joe So Delicious & El Shoes
POSTMATCH: Joe Delicious turned on El Shoes and laid him out. Flex & Boogalou watched Joe show his true colors. Flex & Boogalou, looking very reminiscent to LAX and even getting LAX chants in the process, dubbed themselves as MOB or Money Over Bitches.

Flex & Boogalou said they would challenge any tag team in WSU. The Dirty Rotten Scoundrelz came out to answer the challenge. DRS said that they wanted to be the first ever WSU tag champions. This led to All Money Is Legal coming out. AMIL got in DRS's & MOB's faces. The Christopher Street Connection then came out and freaked everybody out. This led to a huge 4 team brawl, with all 4 teams brawling to the back.

Kamala d. "Sweet N Sour" Larry Sweeney w/Ultra Mantis Black
As you could expect, this was a hilarious match. Sweeney has "it". Kamala won after his patented splash.

Notorious Inc (Drew Blood & Devon Moore) w/Alicia d. Javi-Air & Bandido w/Becky Bayless
This was the match alot of fans told me afterwards stole the show. The crowd heat was off the charts for this match. Whatever wrongs Javi-Air made in CZW were righted here, as this match clicked.
The big spot in the match saw all four guys get knocked down. Alicia & Becky came in the ring, but before they were about to go at it, both teams broke up a potential brawl. The crowd booed and chanted let them fight. After Notorious Inc won, Becky gored Alicia to a thunderous pop.

The SATs d. Matt Sydal & Alex Shelley in an incredible match, after a Spanish Fly.

Kevin Matthews d. Eddie Kingston

In the Suicidal 6-Way Match
John Walters d. Deranged, Grim Reefer, Human Tornado, B-Boy & M-Dogg 20
This was a spot fest and an amazing match. Tornado & B-Boy did the "Beat It" spot and the crowd went crazy. This match is what you'd expect it to be and more.

For the WSU Heavyweight Title

NOTES:
The line-up of the show changed several times due to outside factors. Kamala/Sweeney, originally scheduled for before intermission was moved earlier in the card to make enough time for Kamala to get to NWS. NWS originally had Bundy booked for their show, but Bundy couldn't make it. NWS then replaced Bundy with Snuka, but Snuka pulled off the day before the show. Kamala was added as the legend to NWS's event, and in good working faith, WSU adjusted their show to help out NWS.

Human Tornado's flight from California was delayed, which pushed back the placement of the suicidal 6-way. That is why Kevin Matthews was forced to stall and cut a long promo before his match.

Speaking of Kevin Matthews, Kevin Matthews wrestled his match with a torn knee. Kevin tore his left knee before the match, but still wrestled despite the severe injury. As of right now, there is no update on his injury status.

One match finish was changed on the show due to indy politics. Gotta love how people, whether it be wrestlers or promoters, pretend the indy scene is bigger than it actually is and think that fans care if you have a belt in one place, that means you can't lose in the other. Imagine telling Jim Kettner you can't lose in ECWA because you hold a title in a student promotion. Indy politics!

The crowd was hot for the majority of the show, but understandably were a bit burnt out after the 6-way.

Wrestlers on the show did great gimmick sales, as the crowd was 80% kids.

The DVD will be released on DOIVideo.com.

WSU announced a 6/23 date in Deer Park, NY, with Eddie Kingston vs Super Dragon as the first match signed.

More WSU news to come.
