The DOI has just found out through UXW Promoter, Frank Goodman, that Homicide will in fact, be on UXW's 9/24 return show to Old Bethpage, Long Island, New York.
Frank told the DOI that it will be "The Notorious 187" Homicide vs "The Manbeast" Rhino! To make things even more interesting, the match will be a number 1 contenders match, with the winner earning a shot at the UXW Heavyweight title.
Balls Mahoney is currently the 7 time UXW Champion and is scheduled to defend his title against
"The King of Old School" Steve Corino on 9/24. These are obviously two major matches taking place. This show now features the first ever Homicide vs Rhino match.
The DOI will have more UXW news this week.

*** THIS JUST IN ***
UXW regrets to announce that due to a scheduling issue, Raven will be unable to appear on our September 24th event. As his replacement, UXW is proud to announce that former WWE superstar Andrew "TEST" Martin has joined UXW and has signed on for all scheduled UXW events!
*** Recently Announced ***
In a conference call earlier this week, it was announced that former 3PW promoter/ECW valet, Jasmin St. Claire, has come to terms with Frank Goodman and UXW and will be appearing on all upcoming UXW events, beginning 9/24 in Old Bethpage, NY. Jasmin's role in the company is not known yet, and Jasmin told the DOI (declarationofindependents.net) that "anything and everything will happen" in regards to her UXW debut. Frank Goodman, UXW owner and promoter, told the DOI that "I'm happy to have her on board and it will be a great night out."
UXW presents Every Victim Counts on Saturday Night, September 24th, 2005 at Skate Safe America. Skate Safe America is located at 182 Bethpage Sweet Hollow Road in Old Bethpage, NY. The event takes place at 7 PM with doors opening at 5:15 PM. The first UXW internet TV show tapings, entitled “Xtreme TV” will begin at 5:30 PM.
2 Men will walk in as World Champions, but only 1 will walk out! UXW Heavyweight Champion, The Hardcore Chair Swinging Freak, BALLS MAHONEY, will take on AWA Heavyweight Champion, “The King of Old School” STEVE CORINO in a UXW TITLE vs. AWA TITLE match! This match has just been made into a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match. The first fall will be a dog collar match, second fall will be a tables match, and the third fall, if needed, will be a last man standing match! Both men did not want this settled with a possible “fluke” victory, so now, in order to win, they must beat their opponent not once, but twice!
With all of the recent releases, UXW has been looking into bringing in some of the top talent in professional wrestling that are now available. With that said, USA Pro Wrestling/ UXW President, Frank Goodman, is pleased to announced that on September 24th, former ECW World and Television Champion, former WCW United States Champion, former WWE Hardcore Champion, THE MAN BEAST and master of the Gore, RHINO, will debut for UXW! In this, his debut match, Rhino will take on a former nemesis from the ECW, the man he beat to become the ECW Heavyweight Champion, The Hardcore Icon, THE SANDMAN!
After being confronted by Mace and Buffe in May, Billy Gunn decided it was time to bring back his former partner and on September 24th it will be “Roaddogg” Jesse James and “Badd Ass” Billy Gunn reunited as THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS, with SUNNY (Tammy Lynn Sytch) in their corner, will square-off against The CHRISTOPHER STREET CONNECTION!
The current UXW XTREME CHAMPION, “Primetime” ELIX SKIPPER, a man who has already beaten the likes of Low-Ki, Xavier, Kid Kash, and Sonjay Dutt, among others, in his reign as champion, has been on quite a roll since debuting in UXW. On September 24th, he will defend the championship against a man returning UXW and returning to the east coast for the first time since leaving WWE, “The Future” FRANKIE KAZARIAN!
Also, don’t forget that UXW (USA Pro Wrestling, Inc.) and its president Frank Goodman have announced the first taping for our upcoming internet television show series. USA Xtreme Wrestling is ready to take internet TV to the X-treme, with Xtreme TV! Xtreme TV will be a 30 minute internet wrestling show featuring matches exclusive to the show featuring young, up and coming talent, as well as special interviews. PAST NEWS:
Tons of UXW News/Notes
In case you haven't heard it yet, you can call The Masked Maniac hotline, at 516-214-8333. The hotline, which is hosted by UXW Promoter, Frank Goodman, talks in-depth about last nights UXW "Chris Candido Memorial" Show.
The show, which only had 13 matches, was the shortest UXW show in some time, clocking in at the four hour mark. It was easily the tightest UXW show and one of the better shows, as the two things that hinder UXW the most- ticket sellers and length, were both contained. All the ticket sellers were thrown into one match and the length of the show was only four hours. To prove that the fans were actually into the show, 80% of the crowd stayed for the main event, which is a great number, as UXW main events are usually only witnessed by 20% of the crowd on any given night, due to the length of the shows.
The promotion, which held the show to celebrate the life of Chris Candido, raised over an estimated $2500 for Tammy Sytch. More money will be donated to Johnny Candido and to the parents of Chris Candido. Lots of wrestlers worked for free in an effort to raise more money for Tammy Sytch and Candido's family.
Matt Striker has been "fired" or to phrase it more accurately, will not be getting booked by UXW in the future, according to UXW Promoter, Frank Goodman. We'll see if this sticks true, as Frank Goodman has made this claim in the past, only to bring Striker back on the next show. Frank talks in-depth why he has turned sour on Striker on the Masked Maniac Hotline. Apparently, Matt Striker called Frank Goodman before the show and said he could not lose his match. Frank said he hung up the phone and didn't lose any sweat about not having Striker on the show. Assumingly, Striker said he could not lose his match because he's the NYWC Heavyweight champion, a promotion that Frank Goodman has openly bashed numerous times for having shows full of wrestlers who sell tickets. Goodman said that Striker told him previously that NYWC and UXW do not affect each other, but when it came down to it, Striker refused to lose on a UXW show.
Goodman also talked about Striker being a bad business man and chronicled his problems with NWS, 3PW, NWA Cyberspace and now UXW on the hotline. Striker is a great talent, and due to all the head-to-head competition that goes on the indies, Striker has been forced to burn a promotion here and there. It definitely is an unfortunate situation.
Frank Goodman also said that double-shots will no longer be allowed for indy wrestlers because according to Frank, the indy wrestlers are not responsible enough to handle the responsibility of working for multiple promotions on one night. Frank explained his theory and backed it up with examples on his hotline. Only ex-WWE, WCW and ECW Wrestlers will be allowed to double-shot in the future, because they are the only ones who can do both. Frank gave examples of that fact too. Several wrestlers who weren't able to keep up their end to UXW were Matt Striker, Grim Reefer, and others. Wrestlers who were able to keep up their end to UXW were Crowbar, D-Lo Brown, Mick Foley, Elix Skipper and others.
Frank Goodman also told the DOI that there was a problem with the Solution and John Shane last night. According to Frank, Havok of the Solution does not want to tag with Papadon anymore, and actually requested to drop the tag titles that the Solution held at the 4/15 show. Papadon was unable to make the 4/15 show, due to being at a OVW camp/seminar. Havok was asked to defend (and keep) the tag titles by himself, but according to Goodman, Havok said he'd rather be stripped of the titles, then hold the titles and have to defend the tag titles with Papadon at the May show. Frank hyped up on his hotline a match between the Solution and Tobin/Reil where the losing team would have to break up and wrestle against each other at the next show. It was Goodman's plan to start the slow push of the big man Havok. The Solution and John Shane told Goodman they wouldn't do the match, upsetting Goodman. Papadon has told the DOI he'd rather do a Havok vs Papadon match in JAPW, but it seems that JAPW has no interest in doing that match as neither Papadon or Havok has been on a JAPW main show in some time. UXW, the promotion that books the Solution regularly, was upset that the Solution wouldn't do the match for UXW. It is not known what the Solution will do at the next UXW event, as Goodman is known for not using wrestlers who don't want to do angles/matches that they are asked to do. Frank Goodman has told the DOI that he thinks Havok can be a huge singles star, if given the proper push.
CM Punk is being held in high regards by UXW Promoter Frank Goodman, as Frank said that Punk was 100% professional at the show and was able to be at the UXW show in time, after wrestling at NWA Cyberspace. Frank also said that it is rumored that CM Punk is "Gabe's Bitch" but he said after last night, if anything, "Gabe is Punk's Bitch" on the hotline. You have to love the bluntness of the Masked Maniac hotline. Either way, CM Punk will be brought back (If Punk's schedule permits) to UXW.
In what was a huge public display, DJ Anthony, long time DJ of UXW events, was fired by Frank Goodman yesterday afternoon. In what was a private conversation, which later turned into a huge public shouting match, Frank fired DJ Anthony for talking badly of Goodman at the last show. DJ Anthony was also accused of stealing Trent Acid's payday at the 4/15 event. Frank actually took DJ Anthony outside, to rough him up, but cooler heads prevailed, as Buff-E of the CSC calmed the situation. Another reason why DJ Anthony was fired was because he wasn't very good at what he did, as many fans complained about the music/sound after every show.
In a something-for-the-message board type of story, Anthony Deblasi ejected former XPW employee and LXW Promoter, Slash, out of the building last night. Anthony Deblasi is the on again/off again Vice President of UXW. Slash and Deblasi's problems have been chronicled in various places, as Deblasi accuses Slash of ripping him off on several thousands of dollars, when Deblasi used to do bus trips for XPW. Slash claims innoncence about the situation. At the show last night, Deblasi ripped Slash's sunglasses off his face, threw a canoli in Slash's face (I'm not making this up, this really happened), and brought Slash outside. Deblasi cracked Slash's sunglasses and told Slash not to use the Chris Candido Memorial show as an excuse to make-up, after Slash publicly bashed Deblasi and ripped off Deblasi on several thousand dollars, according to Deblasi. This definitely was an indy moment.
Crowbar vs Grim Reefer was scheduled to take place last night, but didn't happen due to Grim Reefer getting a concussion at the NYWC event. Crowbar did make the show, but didn't have an opponent. Crowbar hung out with the locker room instead.
Frank Goodman has cancelled next months June show, due to Club Amazura not having a phone line that can take ticket orders. The next UXW show will take place on September 24th in Bethpage, NY. Goodman has already made it publicly known that all wrestlers who take this date, and then try to double shot on a future show, will be taken off of the UXW show without any questions asked. UXW will not be running any summer shows due to the fact that it's hard for indy wrestling to draw in the summertime. (That is definitely a fact in the NJ area, due to the popular Jersey Shore.) However, Goodman did say he'd be interested in running a show in Queens, NY, if he could find a good building in either July or August, if the building would aggressively try to help sell tickets.
Last nights show was taped by RFVideo.com and TCTapes.net. The RF Video version of the show has numerous promos with the people who knew Chris very well (Foley, Axl Rotten, Ref Hanson and lots more) as they give their memories on Chris. The TCTapes.net version has full show commentary, which is done by myself and several UXW wrestlers/talent such as Ref Hanson, Low Life Louie, Danny Demanto and others.
I'll have a full UXW review later on this week.
