Todays top fighters do all there fighting in the Octagon, but today 15 year old Ian Mcdonald is fighting just to stay alive, and does it one more day with the help of Pete "Drago" Sell, and The Jerky Boys creator Johnny Brennan.
One year ago the Grandfather of Ian Mcdonald was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and it prompted his father Ed Mcdonald to get tested, and the shocking result was the father was in fact diagnosed with a rare form of bone marrow cancer, and has been in therapy over the past eight months with no recovery in site.
Now young fifteen year old Cornwall N.Y resident and high school wrestler has been diagnosed with the same fate as his father and grandfather, and this time its lung cancer. Johnny B ( The Jerky Boys & Family Guy) started a blood drive three months ago which got a lot of attention of the press, and produced over two hundred donors, and a debt of gratitude from young Ian Mcdonald.
John expressed to the family if there was anything he could do to help that family that he was more than willing, and the fifteen year old wrestler asked John if he knew any UFC fighters, and it was his long time wish to meet Serra-Jitsu fight team member, and UFC superstar Pete "DRAGO" Sell ( UFC & T.U.F 4) , so John called Eric Nyenhuis President of Original Hardcore MMA , and the two surprised the wrestler, and fulfilled his dream of meeting the fighter.
Ian spent two hours with Drago Sell learning the secrets of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and was just overwhelmed with happiness. " I can't believe this was even possible"
the young Ian was quoted as saying. " Thank you so much" he kept repeating as Drago signed some shirts, and took pictures with his biggest fan, and I know
Ian's biggest fight is still ahead , but maybe this was the right move to put him in higher spirits.
