Human Tornado Retires From Pro Wrestling

In a story that is catching many by surprise, Human Tornado has suddenly retired from pro wrestling with no warning and apparently will not finish out his advertised dates.

Human Tornado wrote the following on his Facebook page, which you can see for yourself by click here
"Human Tornado is officially retired..."

Tornado was booked for the Dragon Gate USA Phoenix shows at the end of March. DGUSA booker Gabe Sapolsky wrote the following on DGUSA's Twitter page:

"Human Tornado evidently has suddenly retired from wrestling. He is no longer scheduled for the 3/27 event. We wish him well."

Tornado was also booked for the ROH TV Taping on Friday, but pulled himself off of that date.

Tornado, who made his name on the west coast primarily for PWG, found national fame as a star during MTV's "Wrestling Society X" run. Tornado also had a small role in the movie "Nacho Libre".

Away from PWG, Tornado also wrestled for Jac Sabboth's version of WSU, where he actually won the WSU Heavyweight Championship. Ironically, Tornado was booked for Sabboth's ICW return show on 3/19 against Amazing Red, but that match is now off.

Tornado didn't give promoters notice on this and the reason for his retirement is unknown, although Tornado has been battling knee problems, and recently missed almost a year while recovering from surgery.

Tornado is only 26 years old. Call me skeptical, but I don't see this retirement being permanent. Fellow PWGer and west coaster, B-Boy, also retired several years ago, only to come back stronger than ever. However, if this isn't due to immediate injury, Tornado seems to be throwing alot away, as he was about to be in the mix in DGUSA, in the mix in ROH, a top name in PWG, and about to return to NY for ICW. Perhaps Tornado has found happiness elsewhere.

More on this story as news comes in.
