I don't understand it. Sometimes it boggles my mind the stupidity of some people in the world. Just a few months ago I wrote a column titled, "The Business of Minding Your Own Business". In the column, I wrote that everyone should go about their own business and do what is best for them or like the young kids these days say, "DO YOU". But apparently that isn't possible.

See, just last week 3PW, a promotion run by The Blue Meanie and Jasmine St. Claire was supposed to have a show in Cherry Hill New Jersey. Well to make a long story short, since this is all chronicled on the Message Board (www.declarationofindependents.net), someone ratted them out to the city council and the show got shut down before it began. Rumors began circulating that it was Ring of Honor. Then the DOI's own Sean the Mic did some very good investigating and found out that it was a rival promoter named Geno Moore. I don't know Geno and actually never heard of him or his promotion. But Mic found some damning evidence pointing in his direction. Add that to the fact that Geno has a past history of doing these things and apparently you have your culprit. However, Geno is now vehemently denying these accusations and has proof of his own that it wasn't him.

Anyway, the point of this rant is that everyone should shut up and MIND THEIR OWN F*CKING BUSINESS!!!!!!! Not Mic cause he is a journalist and reported the story. I am talking about the WRESTLING PROMOTERS. Who cares if 3PW is running a show? Whether it was Geno or another promoter, why does 3PW affect you? Let them draw or not. To be completely honest, there is plenty of space in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut area for a lot of shows to run and a lot of money to be made. There are several wrestlers in the Tri-State Area to work these shows and tons of money to be made with the right promotion. I don't see any reason why JAPW, USA PRO, JCW, SSCW, NYWC, 3PW, ROH, XBOKU and whoever else I am forgetting. Let's get on the ball here people. All you are hurting are the fans and the boys by having shows cancelled. And if it was Geno Moore, (which I don't care if it was either way) what did you expect to get out of this? 99% of Indy fans in the NY/NJ/CT area are fans of all the promotions that run here. Do you know that now that people know/suspect it was you who shut down 3PW's event are going to boycott any show you may have in the future? All you did was hurt your own promotion. 3PW is going to make up for this show at the ECW arena show next month. It boggles my mind how childish and stupid some people can be.

Jumping topics now, I would like to talk about gimmicks. The Masked Maniac made mention on his hotline a few weeks ago that gimmicks are what made wrestling and "larger than life" characters are what people pay to see. I can't agree more. No, I am not saying that most of the USA Pro roster should jump on the gas and hit the gym, although some of us should. But what I am saying is that some of us need to fix up our gimmicks and be more fan friendly and crowd aware. For example, The Elm Street Kids have a gimmick. Psycho and Rayza are two crazy ass lunatics who wear face paint and act like they were just released from a mental institution in the ring. The play practical jokes like clowns and get vicious when they have a chance. Another example, Los Lunatics. Guapo, Bugalou and Low-Rida are three Mexicans who have a tendency to be stiff and brutal in the ring and are from somewhere. They represent something. Back in the days, most wrestlers used to represent something. Everyone had a gimmick or a place of origin that made them stand out. Sting, the face painted wrestler for the kids. Nikita Koloff, the Russian Nightmare. Ted DiBiase, the rich man. Macho Man, well, a macho man. The CanAm Connection, a Canadian and an American. Some people may have gimmicks and need to explain them to get over. Take me for example, I look plain however hand me a microphone and I will show you what I can do. Bottom line is, a lot of people today don't have that privilege.

Message Boards. People who hide behind them are children and act like cowards. It is one thing to start a funny post and crack a joke. Everyone does it. But it is completely another thing to post threats and drop hints that you are going to do something to someone or their family when the fact is, you will never show your face or act out on these threats. That makes you a wanksta. Stay behind your little computer pussies. Cause if you show your face, someone is going to smack it. And those who respond, calm down. Everyone knows that these cats are phony. They don't have a set to step up and do anything. So remain calm and ignore the ignorance.
