The
Busines is Minding your Business

Angry Young Man - Matt Dawg
People are going to read that title and try to figure out what the hell that
means. Well I will explain it to you. If you go on any Indy message board
(USA Pro, DOI, ICW, etc) you will constantly read posts concerning people's
opinions on their personal life. For example, a life long friend of mine who
currently wrestles in USA Pro, Poppalishus, has been the center of several
scandals as of late. Apparently someone got a hold of some personal pictures
of him and decided to post them on a web page. The next thing you know, there
are several posts concerning Poppalishus being a homosexual. Poppalishus being
in an escort service. Poppalishus being bi-sexual. Let me make a few things
clear:
A) It isn't anyone's business what he does or doesn't do. It's his life.
B) As far back as I can remember, Poppalishus HAS ALWAYS BEEN interested in
woman. Some might go far enough to say that he is a womanizer.
C) He, like most Indy workers, has a job outside of wrestling and I am positive
that it doesn't involve an escort service.
Now mind you, I haven't spoken to Poppalishus in a few months and if he reads
this, he better CALL ME !! But what he does outside of wrestling is no one's
business but his own.
If Poppalishus were to go on one of the boards and decide that he wants to
air his business for everyone to read and discuss then that is one thing.
But the fact is, he didn't. (No, the posts on the USA Pro Board responding
to the comments were not from him) Fans today aren't just pleased with being
entertained by good, solid wrestling and entertainment. It seems that some
of these "marks" out there are more interested in what happened to Tim Arson
in a bar that got him locked up rather than the fact that Tim Arson is getting
a good push in USA Pro and is finally moving up the ladder to a possible reign
with one of the under card titles. Fans are more into whether or not Jac Sabboth
paid his workers than the fact that Jac and ICW had a very good show the last
time at the Elks Lodge. You shouldn't care why Abdullah the Butcher didn't
do the job for Lowlife Louie. What you should care about is that fact that
Louie lived one of his dreams, had a chance to work with one of his idols
which is something not every one of the boys can say yet and the fact that
even though Louie knew he wasn't going over, he put in an incredible effort
to entertain you all. Instead fans are more worried about the S.A.T.'s being
fired by Frank Goodman than the fact that the Maximo's are good workers who
have had sensational matches with almost every team that they work with.
It is ridiculous and should end, NOW. You fans are losing focus on the big
picture. Each and every time these guys step into the ring and risk their
lives for you is something that they enjoy. They pull out moves and spots
and perfectly laid out matches that you won't see every Monday or Thursday
on WWE programming. Just be happy that you pay $20 a month (or more depending
on how many shows you go to) and see plenty of young and hungry men and woman
bust their asses whether you appreciate them or not. Stop the nonsense and
let them live their lives and dreams out. If there was no Independent wrestling,
all the fans in the world would be reduced to watching the mindless dribble
that goes on RAW every Monday where Vince McMahon and Co. insult our intelligence
and expect us to believe half the crap that happens. (i.e. Kane)
So to end this, JUST SHUT THE F*CK UP AND ENJOY YOURSELVES !!!
