Angry Young Man - Matt Dawg

Greetings from under the black restitol hat....wait a second, wrong column. My bad. Let me speak it in the language of you youngsters today. What up Yo? Chilling? Aight. Anyway, lots and lots of stuff has been happening in the world of independent wrestling lately and horribly for me, I have heard all of it second hand. So I am going to get into my comments on it right here right now.

Firstly, Billy Reil's Reil World Column. Now I am going to honestly say that Billy probably doesn't know me from a hole in the wall since we don't socialize much. When I see him, I give him a pound/handshake/five and he says what's up and that is that. I did once loan him a pair of sunglasses for a skit at USA pro once but I am not sure if he remembers that. Anyway, I am also going to honestly say that I never really dug Billy's in ring work. Now, I didn't get to see him prior to him being bit with the injury bug so I do not know of the legend of Billy Reil. I only know what I see so if someone can get me a copy of his early stuff, I would appreciate it greatly. And while you are at it, get me a copy of the Paris Hilton video (the full 39 minute one, you hear me MA Viper?). But I am going to say this:

BILLY REIL IS THE F*CKING MAN!!!!

His ability to do what he does when he gets on the mic or writes a column is something to talk about. A lot of people do not have the abilities to do what Billy does or the balls to say what Billy says. I respect that and all of you do too. I hope Billy gets better so he can step up his game like I hear he used to. I am interested to see what he can do when he is 100%. This kid has "it".

USA Pro had a show on valentine's day and from fans perspectives, I hear it was an ok show. Not the blow away shows that USA Pro usually performs, but a quality one nonetheless. That has to be a bit of a letdown considering they closed out the Elks with is what in my opinion was their best show ever but then again, it was expected. The emotion that everyone put into that show since it was the last time a show was being held there cannot be duplicated.

I did hear from some unnamed workers that they felt V-Day Massacre sucked and was the worst show ever for USA Pro from a workers standpoint. Maybe. I still stick to my theories that USA Pro would be a lot better off if they trimmed the roster instead of continuing to bring in more and more and more people (I.e. Konnan, Kamala) but it ain't my show or my money so I can't complain. Especially if I am only paying $20.00 to see an 18 hour show. You are getting your money's worth to say the least.

A happening from V-Day Massacre was the split of Knightlife. Long overdue in my book. Nothing is better than the original. It was starting to look like the nWo black and white/Wolfpac. I mentioned this on the USA Pro Message Board and I will say it here since more USA Pro workers look at this site than the board, Tobin, Reil, Reefer and Lo, change the name. Knightlife is over. It was over when Drake left. Come up with a new name for your group. You guys have great minds for the business, I don't think it will take you long to come up with a new name. You all need to separate yourselves from Knightlife (the name) so you can distance yourselves from the past.

Shane Douglas new USA Pro champ. Not for nothing, I used to be a huge Shane mark in his prime. But I dig Raven as champ a lot more than Shane. When Shane has any world title, that means before his match, you can expect a 30 minute rant on whatever he feels like talking about. I can't picture USA Pro running an extra 30 minutes longer than they usually run. Raven spoke for maybe 10 minutes before his match. So if you are going to keep the strap on Shane, don't let him talk before his matches.

Kevin Matthews is a name that came up recently. Kevin, you rock bro. That is all I can say.

Another interesting topic as of late is Carmine Sabia. Now Carmine and I have chatted via e-mail once as I worked a show of his a while back. He seemed like an ok guy. I didn't know until much after the show that he has his disorder/disease where he can't leave his house. I don't have an issue with that either. What I do have an issue is the fact that he is getting gassed. For the slang impaired, that means big headed, egotistical. Dude, to compare yourself to Vince McMahon and George Steinbrenner is ridiculous. Just the facts bro. That has to be the dumbest thing I heard since someone saying that Mike Kruel can hang with Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle in a shoot. Seriously. Not for nothing, but you are doing ok for yourself and for SSCW. But if you keep tooting your own horn, a lot of guys who work your shows are going to revolt. You aren't there to command their respect. I have been in an SSCW locker room on more than once occasion and you aren't the most respected man in this business. By hearing who your "Friend" are in the SSCW locker room, I must say Carmine, you are in for a rude awakening if you think some of these guys are friends and loyal to you. So go easy on the jackass comments cause honestly, there isn't anyway you can prevent someone like Kevin Matthews coming to your next show and pissing in the middle of your ring. You aren't going to be there to stop him and by the sound of it, some of your locker room might join him.

ROH in NJ is coming up. From what it looks like, ROH is planning on making this their biggest show ever. I will be in attendance along with several of the DOI staff so it should be a fun shindig. Teddy Hart is on the show. That should be interesting. You can't fault ROH for making this a blow away show with all the people who are going to be in town for WrestleMania XX. The more new fans they can get the better. Also heard Amazing Red will be working the show. Sorry to hear that. I understand that Red isn't 100% yet but he is going to give it a go. Let's keep our fingers crossed that he doesn't do any more harm to himself. That would suck if he did.

Wrestlemania XX, MSG, I WILL BE THERE!!!! Is it just me or has Chris Benoit been booked to look like an idiot? Then, when he doesn't get over, Management is going to wonder why and HHH is going to lobby to get his belt back.

I will also be at the Meadowlands Monday the 15th for RAW. Damn long ass wrestling weekend for me.

Several Indy wrestlers appear. Such wrestlers are Psycho, Rayza, Afato, Penny Dreadful, Bison Bravado, Chris Candido, Lowlife Louie Ramos, K-Murda, K-Pusha, Devious, J-Busta, Ref Hanson, KC Blade, EC Negro, Papadon, Grim Reefer, Dan Barry, Dana Dameson and more.... So make sure you watch.

Finally, I want to just address the DOI Fake Posters. I must admit, there are some funny dudes out there. Pat Sajack, Ultimate Warrior, P. Diddy, Joe Morgan, Fecal Threats. I just want to know where my personal favorite is: TV TIME REMAINING!!!!! He is the......WE'RE OUTTA TIME FOLKS!!!!!!!
