Update on Sabboth & His House of Bootlegging
The DOI received the following emails, in response to our story about Jac Sabboth bootlegging wrestling again:
If it means anything I can confirm Jac selling bootlegs in his store. I have been there and seen them myself.

Mic-
I saw your article on Jac Sabboth about the bootlegging. Don't know if anyone told you but he was also bootlegging TNA & JAPW dvds last night. I checked the labels myself and they were self-made. There were no RF bootlegs prolly cause RF was at the show last night. He had alot of ROH stuff but as your article said most of the ROH stuff was legit mixed in with a few booted copies.
Just a heads up, Jac currently is bootlegging alot of RF Video & ROH dvds in his store. He also has JAPW DVDs in his store but they were originals or masters. Hope this info is useful.
In my opinion and experiences at Jac's store, what Jac does is buy DVDs from outside wrestling companies, whether it be RF Video, ROH, JAPW, etc. He buys just the DVDs, not the rights for the DVDs. Once he has the DVDs, it seems that he's copying/bootlegging them, as is evident from our sources and emails received. Two wrestlers from the NY area, who wish to remain anonymous also have told us that Jac is also bootlegging PWU DVDs as well.
We were also told from wrestlers on the PWS show, vendors at the PWS show and fans at the PWS show that not only was Jac allegedly selling bootleg ROH DVDs, Jac was also selling bootleg Japan wrestling DVDs as well as Best-Of DVDs with footage owned by TNA, NJPW, NOAH, Zero-1 and other companies. These are the DVDs that appear on Jac's ebay account (which seem to have since been pulled after our original article.)
Not only is bootlegging wrong and takes money out of the companies & wrestlers pockets, Jac is one of the most infamous & worst bootleggers out there. Several years ago, Jac used to bootleg RF Video shoot interviews & ECW VHS tapes. However, sometimes you'd get a "bad" copy, meaning that you'd have an episode of "Dallas" or "LA LAW" instead of whatever bootleg you purchased. Frank Goodman, several times on his hotline & radio show, has talked about even picking up his USA Pro VHS tapes from Jac, and having episodes of "Murder She Wrote" instead of his USA Pro Wrestling. We have no word if Angela Landsbury ever investigated Jac for breaking the law.
Fans who have purchased bootlegs from Jac or have witnessed Jac selling bootlegs are encouraged to email the companies directly or email the DOI at BULLSMC@aol.com, where your email will be forwarded to the respective companies. Alot of indy companies rely on DVD sales to stay afloat and it's people like Jac Sabboth (who's a cancer on indy wrestling in his own right) who hurt other companies by illegally selling merchandise.
