The History of Augustus "Hagop/Auggie" Balian aka Jac Sabboth aka Sabboth The Stiffer
The Abridged Version

NOTE THIS IS VERY LONG, YOU MIGHT WANT TO READ THIS IN SEGMENTS OR PRINT IT OUT AND READ IT ON THE CRAPPER! AFTER ALL IT'S ABOUT JAC SABBOTH!

The Man, The Myth, The Stiffer, Jac Sabboth

A Picture Referencing The Pigeon Incident

This is an article a long time coming, as there has been so many Sabboth The Stiffer horror stories over the years. The purpose of this article is to give the readers who really enjoy this type of stuff a one-click column to all the Sabboth The Stiffer stories. I know I will be missing some minor details and deals here, but I will make sure to hit all the major stuff. For fans who don't know Sabboth The Stiffer, this is a column that will totally make you see indy wrestling in a different light. It will also make you wonder why anyone would do business with the guy, in addition to wondering what type of drugs PWS is on for letting Sabboth to play wrestling again.

I also want to prephase this article that these collection of stories come from various shoot interviews, interviews conducted online, talking to Jac personally, The Masked Maniac hotline & other forms of wrestling media. None of what you're about to read below is made up or fabricated because these stories are just mind-boggling on their own. You can't make this stuff up. If I could, I'd be in Hollywood, pounding Guiness with George Clooney while writing the next Oscar award winning film. Now there's a thought!

Every story has a start and Sabboth's beginning in the wrestling business started around 1998-1999, depending on who you talk to. Hagop Balian, known affectionately by his father as "Auggie", would later go on to call himself Jac Sabboth when he played wrestling promoter. The name Jac Sabboth was in tribute to the band Black Sabboth. Another tribute to Black Sabboth was the way Jac would wear the same dirty black T-shirt for weeks on end until the shirt faded and turned white.

Jac was brought into the independent wrestling world by then USA Pro Wrestling promoter, Frank Goodman. The two would go on to have a love-hate relationship for the next ten years. In those ten years, Goodman guesstimates that he made over six figures from Sabboth in merchandise, services and cash.

Goodman, a native from Queens, would meet up with Jac Sabboth at Sabboth's old "Wrestling Universe" store in Bayside, NY in 1999. Sabboth was fresh off overpaying agent Johnathan Gold for Tammy "Sunny" Sytch for an autograph signing. Goodman, a life-long wrestling fan, just like Jac, heard about the store through the signing and decided to check it out. It is a mistake Goodman still regrets to this day, even if he made tens upon tens of thousands of dollars from Jac.

One thing to address right now is about the money issues and money spent by Jac Sabboth. Currently, Jac is a divorced single father. Despite all his scumbag moves in the wrestling business, the one thing that has to be said is that he's a devoted father. A divorced single father running a wrestling store for children isn't the highest paying nor most lucrative job in the world. However, Sabboth's father, despite reports of always being drunk (hey, can't blame him for that, after all Jac is his son!) is reportedly loaded, both financially and BAC-wise. Like any good father, Jac's dad wanted to see the best for his son and time and time again has given him money to survive. Jac, approaching the age of 40, still lives in the same room that he beat off to his Farrah Fawcett posters 30 years ago.

All the money blown by Jac was mostly his father's money. There would be times when Jac couldn't get any more money from his dad and that's when the stiffing and bounced checks started. Jac's father reportedly owns the store that Jac works in, just like how he owns the house Jac lives in. Personally, working in Jac's store for several months, there would be days when no one came in and the cash register would be empty. However, Jac's dad would work Sunday, and poof, on Monday the register would be full again so Jac could play wrestling store owner, which mostly consisted of going on Armenian dating sites and religiously listening to the Masked Maniac hotline.

When we start talking about money deals in this column, keep in mind that most of the money came from Jac's father as Jac himself is not rich, his father is. Jac tries to be independent and makes his business decisions and that is why there is a Sabboth the Stiffer to write about. Everytime Jac tries to branch away from his dad, failure is not too far away. Expect PWS to join the Sabboth The Stiffer list soon.

I also want to state that I do not think Jac is a drug addict, but there is obviously something wrong with him. He can't get a real job in the working world. Despite being bankrolled by his father numerous times, he always blows the money in the end like a bad heroin junkie. I really think if Jac's father wasn't alive, Jac would be living on the streets and doing sexual favors for Danny Demanto Best-Of DVDs. When I think about all the money lost and the terrible reputation Jac has, I always think about that poor old man, and how his son has failed him.

That fateful day in 1999, Goodman & Sabboth would talk about wrestling for hours. Goodman told Jac about how he was a promoter and about his shows. Sabboth's eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas. Sabboth had to do this. Goodman would Jac partner in on a show with him. For Jac, he finally felt that life was worth living, as he never felt more alive.

For people who know Jac, Jac needs to feel that he has power and that he is super important. In the years I've been in Jac's store and from stories of others, whenever there were underage kids in there, Jac would talk about how he was this big great wrestling promoter, just like Vince McMahon. Jac gets off (not literally, at least from what I know) on these kids and telling them about how important he is in wrestling. It's like Jac needs to tell these stories to these kids to boost his own ego. Jac forgets to tell these kids how he is nearly 40 and how his wife left him for a lesbian, but that's a story for later on.

Goodman would make money off of Jac on that first show. For the Jewish Frank Goodman, who is somewhat volturistic when it comes to preying on money marks, this was Chanukah times a million. Sabboth & Goodman would do more shows together and Goodman would take Jac for more money.

The first Sabboth the Stiffer occurred in late 2000. Frank Goodman and Jac were going to run a show at the old Sportsfest in Staten Island. However, Goodman couldn't do the show. Goodman got the NYSAC to give Jac a one-day promoter's license, basically meaning that since Goodman couldn't make the show, Jac would be in charge, under Frank's insurance/bond. The show would be a failure and subsequently, no more wrestling would be allowed in the venue, until August 2001, where Jac killed the building for good with his terrible business practices.

What happened is that once Goodman gave the show to Jac, Jac unbooked alot of people and started adding any wrestler that would drive by his store and talk to him. Jac couldn't say no and the wrestlers, who are whoreish when it comes to wrestling for anyone with money, saw Jac as an easy mark target. Jac would replace the A-list (at the time) talent, such as the Beefcake's, Demolition Ax's and Big Vito's for the Xavier's and Red's. The show would go on to draw less than 100 fans, after Goodman put 500+ the show previous. The A-list talent also complained big time, since they were booked and Jac cancelled them with little notice and didn't give them a small fee for cancelling. It was around this time that Hagop Balian became SABBOTH THE STIFFER. The bounced checks from Sabboth would soon become legendary around wrestling locker rooms as wrestlers would talk about how that asshole Jac Sabboth tried giving them another rubber check.

Jac, despite failing to make a profit on his first solo adventure, knew this is what he wanted to do with his fathers money. Jac would go on to create Ultimate Championship Wrestling (UCW). Goodman warned Jac that the UCW name was already copyrighted, but Jac wouldn't hear any of it.

At the time Frank Goodman was holding USA Pro Wrestling shows at the Elks Lodge in Queens, made famous by the now-defunct ECW. Jac thought he could do better. Jac came to Goodman looking to do everything that Frank was doing and wanted to run a show at the Elks. Goodman, seeing what he had in the wide-eyed mark, said yes to everything, even if it meant competition in the same building as USA Pro. After all, Frank would be making thousands off of every show Jac would run.

Some might wonder how Frank would make money off this silly little mark. It was easy. Frank would make up expenses and double even triple money on real expenses. Jac would overspent money on guard rails, rings, mats, insurance, chairs, music, etc. If there was something that you could make money on, Frank was there with an open hand.

The most famous story about Goodman taking Jac's fathers money was when Goodman got $600 out of Jac at one of Jac's first shows. Jac, being the huge mark that he is, wanted to be the Armenian New Jac. Jac wanted to dive from the balcony of the Elks Lodge on to some ticket seller. Goodman told Jac to do such a move, he'd need $600 to pay the commission to allow it. Jac eagerly gave Frank the money and this would be a move Jac would brag to the kids about for ages. Meanwhile, Goodman would laugh years after this story about how Jac jumped off a balcony and paid him to do it.

As stated above, the people who would get booked on these shows, were mostly people who would go to Jac's store and give him the time of day and make him feel that he was really in wrestling. Damian Dragon would rise to power because he had free time to go to Jac's store several times a week. That qualified him to run the locker room. People also tell stories vividly of wrestlers like the Amazing Red & The SAT walking out of Jac's store with 30 wrestling VHS tapes each and Jac happily giving away his stock. After all, he was one of the boys now.

On the subject of tapes, not only would Sabboth become Sabboth the Stiffer, he'd also become Sabboth the Bootlegger. Jac's back room of his store had something like 20 VCRs and they would all be copying tapes. Jac would sell these bootleg tapes in his store and at wrestling events. The most common stuff to be copied was ECW and RF Video tapes, because at the time RF was fancamming ECW shows. I remember one day walking in Jac's old store after reading a RF Press Release about 4 new shoots being released, and there they were, all for sale at Jac's store. When I think about it, Jac probably made almost off of Feinstein's tapes as Goodman made off of Jac.

There were times that Jac would try to get footage the right way. Jac would send Keith Zimmer, who was an underage kid at the time, to nag promotions such as NWA Florida/IPW with Ron Niemi, Ricky O's JCW, Rob Dimenson's PWF & Donnie B's Phoenix Wrestling, to get their rights to the tapes. When some of the promotions accepted Jac's deal, Jac wouldn't follow up. Or in the case of Ricky O when it was declined (JCW tapes were being sold through smart mark video) Jac would just bootleg them. I remember seeing the original J-Cups for sale back in the day. Even to this day Jac continues to bootleg wrestling footage, as we recently reported on the DOI.

Jac would soon bring in Harry Slash, of ECW music fame, to become his head booker. It's hard to say if Harry knew what he had with Jac because Harry would take the promotion seriously but then would allow Jac to do all his stupid angles. However, Harry would leave the promotion after the 9/14/01 show and all hell would break lose. For example, take this news bit from the Death Valley Driver, about Jac's 11/30/01 show:

PP: After the intermission Jac Sabboth comes out and buries the last guy who promoted under the UCW name (and who subsequently barred Sabboth from using said name), then turns around and buries Simon Diamond. "Yeah, I stiffed Simon on money... and I stiffed Dawn Marie too! And she LOVED it!" This naturally leads Simon to hit the ring from the crowd and take out Sabboth's Dynasty stablemates one at a time. See, this is what happens when everyone attacks Black Ninja style. All of this sets up Simon against Sabboth at the Anniversary show. If you have to hate Vince McMahon, hate him for starting the trend where every indy promotion has to have the "evil president / commissioner" gimmick.

As the report stated, not only did Jac get into trouble for using a copyrighted name, as Goodman warned him months earlier, he would think he was Vince McMahon, the same person he envisioned himself to be, in the eyes of his children customers. Jac would do angles where he was the boss and screwing people over non stop. After seeing Bischoff & McMahon do it on both WCW & WWF, instead of giving fans an alternative, he just came off as a cheaper and watered down version of them.

Jac would run into many money troubles to run his shows. Jac would bounce checks to the wrestlers. Jac admitted to me that he bounced over 100 checks to wrestlers. One of the first conversations I ever had with Balls Mahoney, Balls was telling me he wanted to burn Jac's store to the ground because Jac gave him another bad check. Jac would eventually get cash from somewhere and try to make right, but most of the times, the people were screwed and stiffed, which would become the way Jac did business.

Jac thinks that just because he stiffed you, if enough time goes by, then everything is ok. Only in wrestling does a mentality like that exist and now with Jac in PWS, all the people he screwed in the past are coming back, because they see Jac for what he is - another potential payday.

It should also be made mention that Jac had no formal training experience in wrestling. Jac went do the Doghouse once, got his hand broken and that was it. However, that didn't stop Jac from booking himself to pin Simon Diamond, a few months after pretending to be New Jack. Jac was a huge ECW fan so to able to copy, emulate and beat these ECW guys, it would lead to Jac's underwear and hands being very sticky & hairy during this time.

I also want to point out that through all the years Harry Slash knew Jac, he was never witness to some of the silliness but always there to witness the aftermath. In some way, Harry was a father figure to Jac that Jac never wanted to disappoint in person. We tried to get Harry to chime in a few Sabboth stories, but Harry told us that while he's heard all the craziness and knows about all the money troubles and how Jac has screwed people over, he's never seen anything first hand. Harry Slash's name added credibility to the company at the time, because while many fans might not know who Harry is now, they all knew him then.

These shows, that Jac loved doing, were just not profitable. Jac will tell you to this day that UCW was a trendsetter for ROH and in some ways, it probably was. The Low Ki vs Xavier feud is something that Jac will still talk about when he's 90, even if first Ki/Xavier matches took place in USA Pro. The thing Jac always had going for him is that he understood that fans didn't want to see the ticket sellers that Goodman put on his USA PW shows. Jac would go on to tell me, the worst thing he ever did was put Ken Sweeney in one of his main events, as Goodman would always put on top main events, rather than ticket selling trash.

At this time, there were rumors and even get-togethers were fans would sneak into Jac's show. Frank Goodman would encourage it as he got a kick out of it, just like most of us do. Fans would sneak into Jac's shows through the fire escape. Jac wouldn't notice because he was too busy wondering what ECW guy to beat or what he could jump off next or if he could bounce his checkbook like a basketball. Jac would also heavily paper his shows but still would be lucky to break 200. Most shows in NY require you to draw 250 paid just to break even before you even book the wrestlers, and Jac simply wasn't doing that.

With Jac losing his father's money, wrestlers would start getting stiffed. There are just way too many Sabboth The Stiffer stories to get into, so here's this classic Sabboth The Stiffer list, copied from many wrestling message boards over the years:

Here is the Original list of wrestlers/Referees/Anouncers/Valets/Buildings/ Companies/Fans and just about everyone who has been STIFFED, RECEIVED BOUNCED CHECKS, GOT SCREWED or was just RIPPED OFF BY Jac Balian.

The sad thing, there are many names missing from the above list, such as Greg Stengel, Donnie Bon Jovi, the entire WSU 7/14/07 roster (which was saved by a generous donation from a fan) & many others.

The problem with Jac is that he thinks its ok because it's wrestling. If he can't pay someone what he promised or owes them, he figures he will just be forgiven. Jac never realized that things don't work that way. You just don't go bootlegging people's footage. You just don't come through on paying people. A child would understand that, but for some reason Jac never could. Just because he was losing money on bad investments doesn't mean you get a pass on your bills and debts. A real man always honors his debts and bills and Jac just wasn't a real man.

It was also around 2002, when Jac was having problems keeping his promotion afloat, that his personal life was revealed.

Normally I wouldn't divulge myself into this topic, but since it's been on every Frank Goodman shoot interview recorded, and even talked about in the Maniac & Sabboth Shoot DVD (ON SALE AT DOIVIDEO.COM , BUY IT TODAY!) this isn't exactly a secret anymore.

Years ago, before Jac was playing wrestling, Jac's wife left him for (another) woman. Either Jac turned his wife lesbo or she realized that "The Stiffer" was just a wrestling and not bedtime nickname. Regardless, Jac's wife was gone. As I said before, despite all the crap Jac has done in wrestling, the one thing that is honorable about him is his devotion to his daughter. Jac would win legal custody of his daughter, a rarity in today's day and age. It is when I see Jac with his daughter that I wonder why he ever got involved in this business. When you see Jac with his daughter, he comes off as this good guy but once the wrestling is involved, he turns into this sicko creepy conman.

This would then turn into Jac finding another woman, named Ida, who he wanted to make the next Sabboth. For those wondering, Ida was kinda hot, so at least Jac had that going for him. Jac wanted to get her a huge engagement ring but he had no money after blowing it all in his wrestling store & on UCW shows. Jac, went to the one person that he knew had money, or rather his father's money, Frank Goodman.

Goodman would lend Jac $35,000 for an overpriced engagement ring. Just like most of Jac's wrestling ventures, the marriage thing didn't go through, so Jac was in the hole to Goodman after Ida left him. Jac would have to make payments to Frank for the next several months. To Jac's credit, according to Frank, Jac paid $33,000 of the $35,000 and decided that was enough, instead of paying the full amount. When Frank finally had enough of the waiting and BS game, Frank went to Jac's store, only to find out that Jac closed it. It seems that while Jac was stiffing all the wrestlers and Frank, he also stiffed his store bills and the store was shut down for good in 2003.

It was also around this time Jac was talking about expanding his operations. Jac wanted to get TV time on Time Warner. Several people have told me that Jac made a $350,000 deal with them where he would pay for time. Of course, this never came through. Jac admitted this to me also, but didn't admit the money figure, as the money figure came from people in the know.

Jac would also open kiosks at several malls. Jac had a kiosk in the Staten Island Mall. When business was slow, Jac did things his way, the Sabboth way- closed up the kiosk in the middle of the night, get the hell out of town and stiff the mall on the rent.

Jac also hired Nick Knowledge to work for him in his store and at the kiosks. When Jac couldn't afford to pay him anymore, Sabboth did what he was known to do and that was make up a shit load of lies. Jac told people Nick was stealing tapes and had to fire him, when in reality Jac couldn't afford to pay him anymore. Think about it this way, Nick was working for one of the biggest bootleggers in the United States, do you really think he needs to steal anything when he was getting all his tapes for free anyway? Of course it was another lame Sabboth excuse. Sabboth must have a rolodex of ridiculous excuses, as he's used plenty over the years, such as "my mothers going to die this weekend so we have to cancel". He's used that one a few times.

The purpose of this column is not to talk about UCW, which would later become ICW due to the aforementioned copyright problem with the UCW name. UCW was a fun show. Jac still talks about it like it was the greatest thing ever, but others, wishing to remain anonymous say the following:

jac thinks if he writes it [how great UCW was] enough people will believe what he writes, icw/uxw had 1 good show and 6 or 7 horrible shows with maybe 1 really good match each show and 99% of the talent not getting paid and sabboth sneaking out the back door to get away without paying the bills.

1 goodman discovered all the talent sabboth used and goodman was the one who used them before icw ever existed, lowki vs xavier was done to death on usa pro before jac sabboth ever got into wrestling, lowki debuts on usa pro 2 years befroe ucw and so did xavier, the maximos, chris devine, mike kruel, the boogie knights, everyone! so jac who exactly did you discover? my dick discovered your wifes asshole but thats the only discovery i remember!

To the anonymous, I don't think Jac's wife would be interested in your dick. After all she is a lesbian.

The UCW vs USA PW debate is for a different time and is something we've discussed here on the site already, as well in the Maniac/Sabboth shoot, which is a shoot that we got alot of the stories covered in this article since its straight from the horse's mouth. UCW was more storyline based and was good for what it was. It's not something alot of people remember today unless they were part of it, but indirectly, it was promotions like UCW & JAPW that led to the creation of ROH and to even stretch it a bit, TNA. USAPW was a carnival like show, a financial success yes, but it was just a marathon of matches, while UCW at least put some thought and tried to book ahead.

With the store closed, Jac shut down the UCW doors in 2002, claiming it was all Frank Goodman's fault and he had no money. The same wrestlers that visited him all the time, stopped, with a few exceptions. Jac would learn coldly that all the friends he bragged to the kids in his store about, were just there for his money.

While I'm jumping around a bit time-line wise, I do not want to forget about some stories that occurred before Jac shut down UCW/ICW for the first time in 2002.

There were tons of stories about Jac's store & there were tons of stories posted about Jac's store on the-then famous USA Pro Wrestling Message board, which was one of the first indy wrestling message boards on the internet. The DOI board, even in its heyday, was nothing compared to the USA PW board when it came to pure filth and scandal.

Around this time there were three posters, posting as "Boris Karloff", "little dick dudley" & "BUD ABBOTT". Ironically, Frank Goodman is a huge horror fan & Abbott/Costello fan. Frank Goodman has denied posting under these names and probably will to the day he dies, but 99% of the people who knew the situation always thought Goodman posted under these names.

These three message board users would go off on Jac and bury Jac beyond belief. One of them talked about taking a shit in an empty KFC bucket and leaving it in Jac's store. Goodman would then confirm that he saw a moldy piece of shit in Jac's garbage can and that some other fans saw it too, after these postings. The message board users would then talk about taking turns running a train on Jac's wife, how Jac is a loser, how Jac provides sexual services on men and whatever else that was remotely disgusting.

Finally Jac had it. Jac challenged the kids to come say it to his face, because the users would post they were kids. This will digress to another story about Sabboth and kids and how he wrestles them in his story, but first things first.

The day of a UCW show, there were three kids, each wearing a white t-shirt with Sharpie marker. One said "HI IM BUD ABBOTT". The other said "IM little dick dudley" and so forth. Jac just looked at them and was fuming mad, because deep down he thought it was Goodman doing it, and even if Goodman put these kids up to doing this, as Jac claims, he still was owned here, because Jac couldn't punch these kids out in public. Funny enough, Jac paid Goodman to play promoter after seeing the kids.

While on the story of wrestling kids, I have seen this numerous times and was always tempted to call the authorities because I've seen it get bad. Jac wrestles underage kids in his store and I'm not the only person to have seen it. Danny Demanto has seen it. Many wrestlers have seen it. Jac thinks he's a UFC fighter because he watched a few Ken Shamrock fights during his life. Jac goes overboard and gets all red faced and out of breath, as he rolls around with these kids while sporting a raging hard on. I've heard kids cry and ask him to stop but Jac tells them they have to tapout first.

There's also the story of a teenage Danny Demanto, who was stabbed by Jac during one of these "sparring sessions". Jac, frustrated that he was losing to a minor, stabbed Danny in the leg, a scar Danny still has to this day. When Danny's mom saw the scar, Danny was forced to lie about getting jumped, to save Jac from possible a police report. Jac thinks this is funny and doesn't realize that it's demented for a middle aged man to roll around on the floor of his store and stab people.

It was also during this time that Jac Sabboth took Danny Demanto, still underage, to a strip club. It is every parents dream to have their kid taken to a strip club by a divorced wrestling store owner. You have to wonder what would Jac think if some strange man, who is fixated on a business about guys in their underwear fake fighting, took his daughter to a strip club without his knowledge.

As the story goes, and Jac told this story proudly to me and it's also on the shoot interviews we've done, Jac summoned an African-American hooker, who had braces from all accounts, at the strip club and offered her money to give Danny a blowjob. Danny, not wanting to have his pecker mangled by a metal mouth, didn't want to do it, but Jac kept pushing it on and he paid for it. It's nice to see in Jac's world that hookers deserve to get their money before the wrestlers and all the other people he owes money to.

Before moving on to the rebirth of ICW, there were even more Sabboth stories at this time.

Sabboth brought in Tazz when Tazz just started with the WWE, for an autograph signing. Sabboth called up the WWE office and said he needed an x-amount of 8x10s for the signing. When WWE asked who to bill it to, Sabboth used Frank Goodman's name, because at this time, Sabboth's name was shot to shit after all the people he screwed on paydays and with the fake checks. Eventually Goodman would have to straight Auggie out.

When Jac first started losing his father's money badly with the wrestling, Jac's father wanted him to take a break from the shows. Jac not wanting to cancel a show, because Jac was still in his infancy of playing promoter, and this was going to be the show where he pinned Simon Diamond, told his father that all the wrestlers are working for free because they respect him. When the wrestlers & Goodman told Jac otherwise, well, you could see Sabboth's father smile turn upside down into a frown.

There was also an incident with Superfly Jimmy Snuka. Goodman was booking Snuka on all his USA Pro shows at the time. When Superfly inquired about doing Sabboth's shows, Sabboth let it be known that he found Snuka to be old. Then again, when you're Jac Sabboth, why have the original Superfly Splash on the show, when you can just pay Goodman $600 to jump off a balcony instead? Anyway, as the story goes, Superfly would make sure to destroy one of Jac's vending tables at an indy show, while Jac jumped back like Eric Simms running from a Headbanger.

Jac not only would screw people on money deals during this time, he'd overbook the shows and realize he couldn't use everyone. Countless times would he book Simon Diamond & Balls Mahoney, only to take them off of the show. Both would be told that Jac was cancelling the show, only to find out that the show happened. Balls has gone on record that Jac did this at least 5 times to him.

I'm missing so many minor stories here that you just forget about because it was so much crap Sabboth did at this point in time. However you get the point.

After closing down his promotion for the first time in 2002, Jac would fester. Wrestlers, no different than politicians, would get in Jac's ear and tell Jac that Goodman ripped him off. The wrestlers would see how much Jac was pissed at Goodman because Goodman would boast how much he made off of Jac. Since business was always slow in the store, sans Christmastime, Sabboth would go online to read hundreds of message board threads on Goodman's message board, bashing and exposing all of Jac's personal & business decisions.

Wrestlers would then tell Jac that if Jac did his own thing, he should do it away from Goodman and he'd be the next big thing. Jac couldn't keep his ego in control, and in March of 2003, Jac would bring ICW back.

Jac would run two ICW shows in NJ in 2003. Both shows bombed at the gate and were completely horrible. The first segment of the first show back showed that nothing changed and the problems that were around when Jac closed were still there. The show started with a horrible Demanto vs Damian Dragon match, only for Harry Slash, doing the standard indy face commissioner thing, just like Foley was at the time, firing both of them. The only person who thought this was great was Jac and both people in the crowd didn't get it.

The only good thing to come out of these shows, outside of Ida in a tight shirt, was one of the best comedy & abstract matches that I can ever remember on the indies, Steve Corino/Guillotine LeGrande/CW Anderson vs Christopher Street Connection/Mikey Whipwreck. And it's not like Jac booked it to be great, the wrestlers just did their thing and was it insanely awesome. Unfortunately, only 20 people or so saw it live, which is why the guys had alot of liberties in the match.

After bombing in NJ and losing more of his father's money, Jac thought that maybe if he was back in NY he'd draw. However, the only way he could get back into NY was if he called Goodman. Jac swallowed his pride (and perhaps some other stuff) and made the call. Goodman, eagerly anticipating this call, because he knew Jac was going to fail in NJ, accepted and wound up taking Jac for even more money than ever before.

Jac would run the last ICW show in July of 2003. Like usual, there was tons of problems, from not making any money at the gate (well Frank did), to having a bad show, the biggest problem was the Low Life Louie vs Abdullah The Butcher match.

At the time, Louie was a huge star for Goodman. Since JAPW wasn't using Louie anymore since JAPW changed their direction, JAPW's loss was Goodman's gain. Louie became one of the top babyfaces in the company and was an undefeated streak.

However, Abby couldn't job, which is the norm for Abby. Abby can't even get in the ring 90% of the time.

However, Jac told people that he was going to bury Goodman's guy by having Abby squash him. Louie didn't want anything to do with the politics and just wanted to wrestle this dream match for him. Goodman and Jac got into a heated argument. Jac was accused of making racially charged remarks about Louie during all of this too. This was a huge mess, but in the end, cooler heads prevailed and the match went on as planned.

In the end, Jac lost more money on all three shows. Jac would attempt to make an ill-fated comeback after the July show, but it was quickly canned. Goodman claims that he had to give refunds to fans because of tickets Jac pre-sold but I honestly can't see Goodman going into his own pocket to settle a Sabboth The Stiffer debt.

From September 2003-May 2004, Jac was quiet. Jac's old store in Bayside was shut down because he didn't pay the rent. However, Jac found someone to lease him space in Whitestone, where ironically alot of fake posts on the DOI message board started coming from shortly thereafter, and Jac was back in business.

With the new store came new fresh kid meat for Jac to wrestle. Aside from that, wrestlers looking for paydays convinced Jac to come back again! Jac called the DOI to put out the following press release in May of 2004. If you check the DOI archives (by using the wayback machine on google or by even checking old DOI message board posts), Jac submitted the following press release several times in the course of May & June:

It don't take a rocket scientist to figure out what happened in July. Jac cancelled the show citing that his father was sick to me. It was the first time he used his dad instead of his mother as an excuse, from what I can recall. I remember believing Jac because he said it so sincerely. I was even taken in by the con. However, Jac to alot of people is the boy who cries wolf, so when he fucks over PWS, which is only inevitable, it should be interesting what excuse he uses.

Jac cancelled the show on the Monday before the show. Wrestlers who took Sabboth's date instead of other bookings were fucked over. Jac screwed everyone all over again. Jac also fucked the building venue over too. Goodman would have to pay Sabboth's back rent, because the building wouldn't let Sabboth slide, in order for UXW to get the building. The reason Goodman had to pay this Sabboth debt was because he was the promoter on the license for the building and if UXW wanted to run there they had to honor Jac's debt. Again, Jac pulled his BS games.

Hoping to see Jac do well, but being realistic, a pool on how many shows Jac would run with the now fourth version of UCW/ICW was created. Here are the details of that pool:

Note: This was written in July of 04 by El Shoes or Harry Slash, I forget which one

There was a betting pool set up between the staff at ICW on "How many shows ICW will have before Jac Sabboth cancels and closes down.
The choices were 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
6 shows was a ridiculous impossibility for ICW and was not an option.

The bets were not for money, but for various things that each person already owned. The number's picked by each person betting was as follows

- 0 - El Shoes
- 1 - Frank Goodman
- 2 - Harry Slash
- 3 - Sean The Mic
- 4 - Anthony Diblasi
- 5 - Mike Johnson

Congratulations to El Shoes for picking the correct number of 0 (Zero) .

El Shoes wins a box of Capt. Crunch cereal, a bag of Doritos, a date with a skank rat, a penicillin shot for after his date with the skank rat, a best of Kenta Kobashi tape, 3 bootleg USAPW videos, 3 old ECW banners, the complete Simpson's action figure collection, 30 "granny porn" magazines, an XPW tee shirt, some electronic S&M equipment. a box of hotdogs, a set of hard bound editions of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, 17 bull whips, three sets of handcuffs and four pairs of Dana Dameson's soiled panties (Almost everyone betting had a pair...)

We'd like to thank everyone for playing. And remember, get your bets in early for the next ICW return pool.

Well after reading that again, I'm going to say that was written by Harry Slash and not El Shoes! This pool will also be the inspiration for our upcoming "How Long Does Sabboth Last in PWS" pool.

Jac gave this official reason for cancelling again:

"The Show is Cancelled. Whoever purchased tickets, call Jac for a full refund at (646) 285-4260. We apologize for any inconvenience but it is out of our hands."

Nothing was out of his hands, there was just nothing inside his wallet.

Despite fucking everyone over again, Jac was relatively scot-free, with the exception of Homicide. Homicide threatened to destroy Sabboth if he didn't get his money. Sabboth largely dodged Homicide, as he was out of the wrestling business again, and just stuck to rolling around on the floor with the kids who went to his store. It wasn't until Jac wanted to mark out at an ROH NYC show in June of 2005 that he paid Homicide back, per ROH's request. To Jac's credit, he paid Homicide for the booking, because Homicide took Jac's date over a paid booking somewhere else.

Jac would remain quiet for the next year. Of course he'd still fake post and be the subject of many a Masked Maniac hotline. No one can forget the time that Mike Johnson of PWSpyware.com told everyone on Maniac's radio show about how his friend saw Jac get pegged in the face by a pigeon in his store. According to the reputable Mike Johnson, Johnson said that a bunch of kids went into Jac's store and pelted him with a pigeon. Jac went to chase them out of the store and fell.

The story took a life of its own during this time and many copycat or copypigeon stories were told. Some people have claimed to have thrown wet diapers, used condoms and even a ballon of piss at Sabboth. The DOI can not confirm any of the stories like the way Mike was able to confirm the pigeon story.

Jac would also feud with Anthony Deblasi on message boards, looking dumber after every post made. Deblasi called Sabboth out on all his business mistakes, for which Sabboth came back with the witty retort of, "your gay". (Grammar error included.)

Jac would also attempt another show in late 2005, but nothing would ever come of it, as usual. The show was cancelled a day after talking about it. I do believe this is where the Samoa Joe & Low Ki stories happened, but not 100% sure. Basically, Low Ki stated that if Jac wanted to book him, he had to pay him up front. Joe was just super pissed that Jac cancelled another date on him again, despite never even working for the guy.

Just for shits and giggles, here was that press release. A day later, Jac said it was a mistake and the show wasn't happening:

Just reading those things again makes me remember how big of a loser Jac Sabboth truly is.

Jac would finally come back AGAIN, in May of 2006. This time, it would be a one shot show called Wrestling Superstars Unleashed (WSU). The show was held in Holy Cross high school. Jac, not knowing anything about the business as usual, instead of booking TV names, booked a smart mark show. The show was dreadfully long. Jac held a tournament for a belt that really made no sense since the promotion was going to be a one-shot just for the building. Rhino vs Raven vs Steve Corino headlined, but no one cared because the show was so long and the crowd was burnt out. Sabboth also wrestled again, teaming with Goodman to take on two ticket sellers. For Jac, it was a way to tell his young kid friends that he was a wrestler.

As was custom, Xavier went over for the championship since Jac has a man crush on him. The same guys who were featured in UCW/ICW in 2001- Xavier, The Sat's, etc, were the same guys featured here. Sabboth lost more money playing wrestling. If he would've booked a 6 match show with 3 TV names he would've made a killing. Instead he played super smart mark and got burnt like usual.

Jac wasn't done yet. In December of 2006, WSU returned with a fairly solid outing. Instead of huge names, the show focused on local talent. While the booking was the shits like usual, the wrestlers worked hard. Jac was happy about the show and decided he was going to do this for real. That is when I personally got suckered in, even if I did make $12,000+ out of it. But telling you these stories personally about me now, something I've never done until now on the site, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't, as it wasn't worth the headache. The only good thing about my time working with Sabboth was the creation of Women Superstars Uncensored, or WSU as it's known today.

After WSU's December show, I was in Jac's store hanging out with Danny Demanto. Out of literally no where, we were all talking when Jac offered to buy the DOI. Now buying the DOI was something kind of crazy to me, because seriously what are you going to do with a website if you don't know HTML or anything. However, what Jac offered to me was a full-time job in wrestling. Basically, for what I was doing for free, even though selling ads/DOIVideo helps support site costs, so help us out today with a DVD sale if you come here daily, I was going to get $2000 a month. That's not alot of money on the front end, but to play wrestling, it wasn't bad. I can see why wrestlers would hate me and the site, because I was getting paid more than them to drink beer and play writer. However, for the sale to be complete, Jac would have to pay the $2000 from January 2007-January 2008.

I didn't get why Jac wanted the DOI at first nor was going to spend so much money to get it. I figured it out early though. Jac has a huge hard on for Frank Goodman. Jac never let it go that Frank bashed him after the UCW days and how Frank got over on him money wise. Being one, if not the best friend (admit it Frank, we're always associated with each other!) Goodman has in wrestling, Jac was trying to get Goodman's right hand man away from him. This was all in Jac's mind.

I was working with UXW for three years, but amicably left when Goodman moved the shows to Florida. Goodman, wanting to reward me for the times up in NY, flew me for the first Florida show, but it didn't make sense to do it thereafter. Actually, I think Brian Wittenstein flew me out on his credit card, but Goodman did hook it up, but that's a different story for a different time.

There was no reason for me to go to Florida since Goodman doesn't need a staff really, as it's not rocket science to run events. So basically I was doing nothing but DOI and not involved in any promotions. I know this sounds ridiculous, but for Jac to buy me away from Goodman was like Steinbrenner getting a free agent away from the Red Sox. This is pure stupidity, but this is how people like Jac Sabboth think.

Thinking that $24,000 plus bonuses sounds nice, for a website I was doing for next to nothing anyway, I took Jac's deal. I told Goodman about it afterwards and we both laughed. We both knew it wasn't going to last long, and we realized why Jac did the deal, but Goodman, to his credit, told me to take every penny I can get from Jac and enjoy it while it lasts. It actually lasted longer than me and Frank thought, as the deal was officially dead in July, which we'll get to.

From the get-go, Jac wanted me to bash Goodman. I wasn't the only one. This is how obsessed Jac was over Frank. He was going to pay $24K for me to bash Goodman. He didn't really want me for anything else, outside of plugs for WSU and his autograph signings. When I offered to help him at the store so I could feel like I was earning my money, he told me it was unnecessary. As long as I would bash Frank, line-up shoot interviews and delete fake posts about Sabboth on the DOI message board, Jac was happy paying me.

Goodman knew what was up and told me repeatedly just enjoy it when it's there as he knew it would be over. Jac would then get me to get people for the DOI Shoot Interview series. Jac didn't care what I asked, as long as the following two questions were on:
"Thoughts on Frank Goodman- is he a bad guy?"
"Why do you think UCW was better than USA Pro?"

So as 2006 turned into 2007, we were still talking about a dead promotion from 2002. Jac didn't care though. To Jac's credit, everyone got paid for their shoot interviews and the shoots helped increase DOI business. The Homicide/J-Train shoot wound up being the reason TNA requires their guys to get permission to do interviews after the shoot we released, so there's a little known fact. It was also amazing how many shoots Gabe Sapolsky tried shutting down, but that's a different story for a different time.

WSU was still going to run. Since Danny Demanto, Jac and at times, Harry Slash was booking, I didn't get involved and watched from the sidelines. After hearing some of their booking meetings, I thought only Danny Demanto knew what he was doing at the time. Jac was just retarded and has no clue. Harry I think was out of touch and books stuff that is funny for people in the business not fans of it. Harry did alot for ECW but it was 2007 then and the fans and the style of wrestling they watch and like now is different than 1997-2001.

Jac announced WSU was going to run on 2/15/2007. He announced Homicide vs Danny Demanto, Kevin Matthews vs Jay Lethal and Low Ki to also be appearing. However, two weeks before the show Jac cancelled, and I thought my paydays were going to be over in just a month.

I do want to state that the only way for my deal with Jac to go through was for Jac to keep making payments for the entire year. Since I knew Jac's history it was in our contract that if he missed a payment I would get sole ownership plus all DOI possessions, such as the shoots, shows, etc.

It was in the store around the time Jac was going to announce his latest cancellation that I pitched for an all-womens promotion. Demanto, who was also now an employee for Jac, backed me up on this 100%. Some people thought WSU was going to be like Shimmer, but the reason we decided to do WSU was because the two NWS shows we were selling, the NWS Womens J-Cup and NWS King & Queen tournament, sold really well and were our top two shows sold at the time.

Since I was getting 20% of all DVD sales, I figured an all girl show would do well based on the NWS figures. However, I wanted it done in a way that it wasn't Shimmer and that it was something that people who hated womens wrestling would watch. Womens wrestling is a niche thing and very hard to book. Alot of fans dont believe in womens wrestling which is fine. Womens wrestling in this area basically consisted of one match per show with no real storyline. How many times could Alicia beat someone different every JAPW show for no reason at all? I wanted to put a show on that anyone could get into because of the characters. I still feel to this day WSU has something for everyone, from the brawls, to the technical wrestling, to the comedy to all the other stuff that is entertaining. Is it the best wrestling in the world, no, but it is enjoyable and do you get your monies worth, I think so.

Since I wasn't going to get involved with the WSU men shows, it was decided I'd run the girls shows with Danny. On 3/3 we had ou first girls show and it did really well and above expectations. However, Danny would soon get fired by Jac because Jac said Danny was too fat and lazy, but in reality Jac couldn't afford Danny anymore. However Jac took me over Danny at the time, since he could only afford one salary to pay, because he wanted to make sure he could reduce Goodman's power on the internet. That is how twisted The Stiffer is.

I should also mention that part of Danny's job required him to go to various toy stores in the Whitestone area, such as Toys R Us, Target, Kmart, etc and wipe out their wrestling figure section. Danny would buy whatever Jac wanted and the shelves would be empty. This way the people in Whitestone were forced to go to Sabboth's shop of horrors, where Jac could wrestle with their kids and charge $250 for a DX two pack during Christmas time. What a classy guy. Jac would also save these recepits and then return figures to the stores since the SKU/UPC numbers were the same. So basically what didn't sell from Jac's distributers like the Charlie Haas figures, would be returned or exchanged for Umaga, John Cena, another hot seller figure, etc.

With Danny now fired by Jac, and how fast does Danny forget that Jac screwed him out of $500 and left him with a lease on an apt, but then again, Danny is all about working the next mark, just like how he told me he's using Eric Tapout for money & a place to live, but I digress, I convinced Jac to keep the girl shows going. Since I am friends with Ricky O, Ricky hooked us up with a venue. We ran our second show there that featured the brutal Luna vs Alicia brawl.

Jac would run his second Holy Cross show on 5/18/07. Despite myself telling him to keep it small so he could make money, he had more airline flights to pay than fans. He also tried playing Harry Slash against me about booking as he asked me to start running things, which I didn't want to do because I had no interest and there was no reason to be another fake JAPW, just like the promotion Sabboth is involved with today.

5/18 came and went. Sabboth stiffed me on my pay that night. I knew after June it would be over, because he booked two June dates, despite me telling him not to. He also brought back Demanto. Danny also told him to stick with one show and not do double shots because he wasn't making money on one show, but Jac wanting to be ROH, decided he had to do two shows.

WSU returned on 6/22 and 6/23. The reviews of the shows were pretty good as there was alot of great talent on that show. You don't have to book great talent because they do it all themselves in the ring. Those DVDs were probably the best Jac Sabboth funded shows ever put out. (DOIVideo.com today!) However, they didn't make money, and that would be it for Jac.

However, we already booked 7/14 for the next date in Deer Park, NY. Jac decided to fuck with me a bit. Instead of letting me know on 6/24 he was done with wrestling and our deal, he waited till 7/7. So basically, I had a week to see if I could get the show off. Luckily, I found someone who supported the cause and helped me out, and for that I will always be grateful. Since NY wasn't an option cause of expenses, I called Gino Caruso up and from that day on , the ECPW arena became WSU's home.

Basically, if we didn't get that donation on 7/14, Jac would've fucked everyone over again. Jac also fucked me on my last month of pay, so he still owes me $2000 to this day. Sometimes he'll call me and say he'll pay me back if I plug whatever shit he's involved with, but he doesn't understand, he owes me $2000 for backpay. Pay me my $2000 and if you want me to advertise your crappy PWS, I will charge you the standard DOI advertising rates. It's not let's make a deal here. You owe me $2000 you fucking bitch.

I don't think Jac nor his retarded PWS partners realize that the DOI is a business. I will plug your stuff if you advertise, but I'm not obligated to if you don't. I have a real job and real life, and plugging PWS shows isn't something on my schedule. I posted this whole story here so everyone could know what kind of shit Jac Sabboth is. Do you think I'm really going to advertise any of his crappy shows when it's just going to lead to the promotion going out of business? I am sick of indy retards. I have a good real life job where I don't need to be nice to people for their money so I'm not going to play games. You get honesty and get to read about the "real" side of indy wrestling on DOI. If you don't like it, don't read it. However if you like it, you're at the right place. PWS will be out of business soon because of Jac. After all, how long do alot of these indy companies last anyway? PWS is just another NWA Cyberspace, another ISPW, another SSCW, another IHPW, a promotion backed by someone who has money at the moment. I don't want to see the fans get screwed again. I don't want to see the wrestlers screwed again. And until Jac gives me the money he owes me, I won't get screwed again either.

If 7/14 wasn't a success, WSU would've been done. The only reason I tried to save the show was because my name was on everything. I booked the talent and everyone. So it was my responsibility. I would be a hypocrite if I didn't. The girls did work with me on prices and I think for everyone on that show, I've made up for that on subsequent shows. Fucking Alicia wrestled 5 times that taping to help save the company. Amy Lee & Nikki Roxx also wrestled three times each to help us out, and you can never forget that stuff.

After Jac fucked everyone over again and me out of my money, WSU kept on. I changed the name to Womens Superstars Uncensored (thank you Kevin Matthews for the suggestion) to reflect what the promotion is all about. I don't have interest in guy shows. JAPW does a fine job with that in this area. There is too much competition and too many asshole leeches playing promoter without me getting involved. I am glad of what we have with WSU and hope you guys check it out. WSU plugs aside, after this, Jac never felt guilty. He thought this was all ok, and now that time has passed, Sabboth has returned again, now as a booker/co-owner/money mark for PWS.

Jac announced last week that he was going to start backing PWS. While this article has been extremely long, I haven't even scratched the surface on Sabboth. Just to also get a few things out there, Jac also stiffed Ian Rotten on travel money, stiffed Johnny 5 for editing fees, stiffed Bill Behrens on TNA talent, stiffed Daffney out of the 7/14 booking as that was the one booking we couldn't save for that show, using Frank Goodman's name to book talent, booked/unbooked/false advertised Tony Atlas, bootlegs RF DVDs to this day, bootlegs ROH DVDs (although he denies it to be fair, even though fans said they seen it) bootlegs anything else he can get his hands on, including WWE.

Jac Sabboth is the lowest common denominator in indy wrestling. He will screw you. He will stiff the wrestlers. He will take money for tickets then cancel a show. In my own words, he is a piece of shit. Anyone who supports PWS right now is out of their minds because it's only a matter of time before the same scams and deals go on there. PWS Promoter Eric Tapout has already proved he's a bonafide moron by doing deals with Keith Zimmer, Kami Albano, Spencer Jawitz, etc. He's stolen buildings and badmouths JAPW people such as Jonny D. all the time. He is not a wrestling person. He is a money mark. Two money marks usually don't last very long.

To the fans reading this, I'm not saying don't go to the shows. Enjoy it for what it is. Support the wrestlers. Just realize it won't last long. Most of the indy game is ran by inept people. If you want to support something legit and something that's been around, check out the JAPW's, the NWS's, the ECPWs, the ROH's and the other promotions that have a history. If you think PWS is something you can get into at the ground up you are wrong, because Sabboth will even stiff the construction crew building this entity.

In closing, and to quote Iron Sheik, "fuck the Jac Sabboth." Only in wrestling would someone like him be allowed to return and return and fuck people over time and time again. This is business is all about the next payday and with that mentality, I should have another good 10 years of stories when we revist Jac in 2018.

I do want to state that the above was 100% accurate. Nothing was made up, exaggerated or fabricated. These are the sad and horrid stories of a one Jac Sabboth. I wouldn't write anything untrue or anything I could get sued for, so when you re-read the above realize that this is the scary and real story of Jac Sabboth.

Oh and Jac can blame for fake posting about him, but the fact is I don't need to. I just put everything out here in this under my own name and will say any of this to Jac's face. However, I refuse to wrestle him on his dirty store floor where he preys on the young.

This article took too long to write. If you'd like to help support DOI, check out DOIVideo.com and maybe pick up a WSU DVD. If you want to pick up the Maniac & Sabboth shoot, where Frank GOodman & Jac Sabboth talk about most of the stories that were posted above, check out the following:

For 10 bucks it's worth checking out.

Also, if you'd like to add your own Jac Sabboth story to this article, feel free to email me. We'd love to hear it.
