Everyone remembers Valerie Plame right? She was the former CIA employee who is also the wife of former Ambassador Joseph C. Wilson. It was alleged that Dick Cheney’s chief of staff I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby and the Vice President himself intentionally leaked the identification of Valerie Plame to ruin her career and hurt Ambassador Wilson because of he claimed that evidence was twisted to make a case for war in Iraq. A war which was always a just war.

It turns out the leak was blown by former Deputy Secretary of State Richard L. Armitage. Mr. Armitage was one of the Bush administration officials who didn’t really support the invasion of Iraq. He was a rival to any White House and Pentagon official who supported the war and the guy that Ambassador Wilson accused of twisting intelligence about Iraq and then plotted to destroy Ambassador Wilson. According to the left wing liberal Washington Post this past week, Mr. Armitage was unaware that Ms. Plame’s identity was classified and he passed her identity along to Robert D. Novak “in an offhand manner, vitually as gossip,” according to the Post’s R. Jeffrey.

I’ll quote the Washington Post some more with these next three paragraphs that get into the situation a little more deeply:

“It follows that one of the most sensational charges leveled against the Bush White House -- that it orchestrated the leak of Ms. Plame's identity to ruin her career and thus punish Mr. Wilson -- is untrue. The partisan clamor that followed the raising of that allegation by Mr. Wilson in the summer of 2003 led to the appointment of a special prosecutor, a costly and prolonged investigation, and the indictment of Vice President Cheney's chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, on charges of perjury. All of that might have been avoided had Mr. Armitage's identity been known three years ago.

That's not to say that Mr. Libby and other White House officials are blameless. As prosecutor Patrick J. Fitzgerald has reported, when Mr. Wilson charged that intelligence about Iraq had been twisted to make a case for war, Mr. Libby and Mr. Cheney reacted by inquiring about Ms. Plame's role in recommending Mr. Wilson for a CIA-sponsored trip to Niger, where he investigated reports that Iraq had sought to purchase uranium. Mr. Libby then allegedly disclosed Ms. Plame's identity to journalists and lied to a grand jury when he said he had learned of her identity from one of those reporters. Mr. Libby and his boss, Mr. Cheney, were trying to discredit Mr. Wilson; if Mr. Fitzgerald's account is correct, they were careless about handling information that was classified.

Nevertheless, it now appears that the person most responsible for the end of Ms. Plame's CIA career is Mr. Wilson. Mr. Wilson chose to go public with an explosive charge, claiming -- falsely, as it turned out -- that he had debunked reports of Iraqi uranium-shopping in Niger and that his report had circulated to senior administration officials. He ought to have expected that both those officials and journalists such as Mr. Novak would ask why a retired ambassador would have been sent on such a mission and that the answer would point to his wife. He diverted responsibility from himself and his false charges by claiming that President Bush's closest aides had engaged in an illegal conspiracy. It's unfortunate that so many people took him seriously.“

So once again the liberal smear machine went after the White House and tried to smear their credibility. They falsely accused them of actions that are deplorable. Intentionally revealing the identity of a CIA operative is terrible. And falsely accusing someone of it is just as bad.

Have we seen any apology to the White House for the allegations? Nope. You wont either. They accomplished what they set out to do. They ARENT sorry. They are happy with what happened so why apologize? They conducted polls during the time of this story that stated between 68% - 72% of Americans felt that George Bush and his administration acted unethically!!! You cant take that back. What is the % of these same people that now know the story was bullshit? That the charges were trumped up? Definitely not 100% of them. This is no different than Michael Moore putting out Fahrenheit 9/11. He released the movie right before a Presidential Election with the hopes of influencing American voters to vote against George Bush. In the process Moore made hundreds of thousands of dollars LYING TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE and trying to influence an election – which he did but failed. Now we see Valerie Plame and her husband the former Ambassador on the cover of numerous magazines like Vanity Fair. They are capitalizing on the fame they’ve gotten falsely.

So why didn’t Mr. Armitage goes public that he accidentally leaked the info about Ms. Plame? Obviously he didn’t like the Bush administration and he wanted to see them suffer. Just like the Richard Clarkes of the past who were relieved of their duty they came back with a vengeance. Ruining someone’s career and lying to the American people has become common ground for the “Blame Bush” era. Ambassador Wilson never thought the truth would come out over who leaked the info so he figured he would make these allegations in the media, a media that is controlled by the far right and is a disgrace within itself (a topic for another day). I mean the truth never comes out right? The media turned this guy into a hero. A man who’s career was ruined and wife was outted when he went against the current administration. America felt sorry for him but more importantly America felt betrayed by their own Federal Government. Well now it appears that the person that is most to blame for the info being leaked about Ambassador Wilson’s wife is none other than Ambassador Wilson HIMSELF!

I have to repeat this paragraph because it says so much:

“Mr. It's unfortunate," concludes the Post, "that so many people took him seriously."

And unfortunate it is. It’s actually disgraceful. Where is the outrage from the media over this? You know that same outrage that was aimed at the President and his office when they thought they were the guilty ones? Where is that anger now? Where are the apologies? Why hasn’t anyone stepping up and being held accountable for the left wing liberals constant lies? Why aren’t the reporters going after Mr. Armitage the way they went after Carl Rove? Where are all these people now? They’re not sorry and they have no intention of holding themselves accountable. Their feelings are that they gave it a try. They tried to take down the Bush administration once again. Hey, maybe next time!

I’ll quote Rush Limbaugh, someone who I don’t always agree with to end this story because he really hits the nail right on the head:

“Joe Wilson is an unabashed, unapologetic, liberal, which is all you need to know about him. He is a fraud. He is a liar. He apparently is good at it. He took in a special counsel. The Washington Post, though, I have to tell you this. I can't let this go unremarked upon. Why was there a special counsel? Why was there a massive investigation? Who was it that demanded this in the first place? Why, ladies and gentlemen, it was the Drive-By Media -- primary the New York Times -- and where did it lead them? It led their reporters going to jail. TIME Magazine reporter threatened with jail. They're the ones that demanded all of this. The one leak they find objectionable, and it turns out it was one of their class! Richard Armitage, he's in the protected clique in Washington. Rove isn't. Rove's not in the clique. Bush incident is in the clique. Cheney isn't in the clique, but Powell and Armitage are, and so, "Eh! There are good leaks and bad leaks and good people and bad people. There are useful things you can do and useless things you can do," and in this case Armitage and Powell will be protected because they're in the club. It was a nice try -- and they're saying, "I'll get 'em next time."

What a fucking disgrace. Don’t forget this when you go out and vote in November. Lets think about who you really want running your country. We are living in dangerous times right now and the democrats and far left wing liberals are the most dangerous people to our great nation today.
