PWS 9/7 McReview
This is going to be a short review since we already have tons of reviews and news up already on this show. Plus I'm super
pressed for time, so I'm going to have to mail this one in a bit.

With that said, here we quickly go:
Some crappy rapper did his thing over the not-so-good sound system.
For the WSU Womens Championship
Alicia d. Talia to retain the championship
Alicia won this match after rolling Talia up near the ropes and holding the ropes for leverage. Alicia did a good job of
getting heel heat, while Talia, who's been in front of the PWS audience before had the crowd in her hand. Even though this
was a WSU title match, WSU did not have control of when the match would be on the card. For me, I think the womens match
sandwiched in between two mens matches would've been better booking/pacing.
Azraiel d. Rob Vegas
This was a good match that got tons of crowd heat. Then again, it was the first mens match on the show. These guys went all
out, which is something you usually don't see in the first match of the show. They set a hard pace for other matches to
follow, but both got a solid match to put on a promo tape. This was probably the best Rob Vegas match I've ever seen. Azraiel
wins this hard fought match with a frogsplash.
Now I should mention for whatever reason, Rocksha & Niggataker were walking all over the building in their gimmicks. I didn't
get this at all. Like everyone else, I'm a huge fan of Rocksha & Niggataker but just having them out there walking around
during the matches steals heat from what's going on in the ring. Fans were looking at them rather than the matches. It was
just odd and surreal to see these guys just walking around. To compare, you don't see the Boogeyman walking around the arena
during an editin of RAW.
Kevin Matthews d. Joe Hardway & JD Smoothie
This match originally was Smoothie vs Hardway. However, Kevin came out and interjected himself into the match. Somehow Kevin
had the power to make matches when during every other segment of the show, Commissioner Necro Butcher had to ok on-the-fly
matches.
Kevin watched Hardway & Smoothie go at it for a bit. Kevin then came in and tossed Smoothie like a lawn dart into the
turnbuckle and pinned him for the win. This match didn't really belong on this show as there were too many matches as it was.
I guess it was there just to build up Kevin.
A Julio Dinero promo turned into Justin Credible being granted the opportunity to wrestle anyone he wants on the show by PWS
Commissioner Necro Butcher.
Pretty much, Dinero came out, announced all the no-shows on the show. Credible came out for a fight, but then was told by
Necro he could fight anyone he wanted. Julio said he'd rather not wrestle, so he sold T-shirts all night and got paid for a
promo. Great work if you can find it.
Michael Sain d. Crowbar
Crowbar had his working boots on tonight like he always does. This match was the longest match of the show I believe. These
guys brawled all over. I never seen Sain before, but he was ok. It's cool for PWS to have talent that doesn't really work
anywhere else. Like reported earlier, Crowbar just loves to wrestle and try to have the best match of the show. It showed
here. Sain wins this match, but the fans didn't seem to care for him. It's a big win for Sain though and a good way to get
Sain over a name wrestler. Should be interesting to see what PWS does with Sain from here.
Paul E. Normous w/Rocksha d. The Zombie
Rocksha decided to manage in this match. Before the match, Paul cut a promo saying how he was all natural and not on
steroids. Funny stuff to get good cheap heel heat.
This was a pretty solid match. The crowd was really into it. Paul wins with a blockbuster, which was impressive seeing a guy
his size come off the top.
POSTMATCH: Zombie lays out Rocksha with a DVD. Zombie then hit Niggataker with a wrench. Again, I don't get why
Rocksha/Niggataker were just roaming around or were beat up by Zombie. Then again, if you're a Zombie and wanted some brains,
why not go after a guy in a skeleton mask and a guy in a Kane mask. Fun stuff overall.
Danny Demanto w/Talia d. Kenny Omega
This match was ok, and these two would do better the next night. This match was told to go home early which was stupid in my
opinion, because this match was telling a story then boom it was over. Omega didn't really get to showcase everything he had,
and it seemed like these guys were building to a huge series of spots. I know Omega was here for one reason, and that was to
prove himself to the crowd, promoters in the area and to everyone else. Instead it didn't really get to happen since the
match was kinda short. Danny wins with a weird pin near the ropes.
POSTMATCH: Omega attacks Danny, which in some ways, helped set up a rematch for PWS, even though it happened in JAP the next
night. Necro Butcher made the save, foreshadowing the main event.
After a wicked long 45 minute intermission which seemed to drain the crowd a tad, we returned with four matches.
Monsta Mack d. Abyss via reverse decision
This match was ok, but I didn't care for the finish. A clean win wouldn't have hurt either wrestler. The guys brawled all
over the fucking building, which got the crowd hot. Mack held his own against the former NWA World Champion. Kingston attacks
Mack afterwards to set a feud between those two. For some reason, a Kingston/Mack feud sounds like a great Gung Ho feud if
GHW ever runs again.
Necro Butcher came out to make sure Abyss was done beating up people. This set up Necro/Abyss for the next show. Abyss talked
here too saying "You're blood... Doomsday... arrghghghghgh". I'm sure Butcher/Abyss will be entertaining.
"Black Machismo" Jay Lethal d. The Genius w/Chrissy Rivera
Before the match, Lethal and Genius had some words. Genius talked about Lethal ripping off his brother.
This match was disappointing, and not because of Jay Lethal. For starters, Genius didn't bring his robe, cap or poem
clipboard. He was booked for that reason only. Genius told PWS promoters that he couldn't fit everything. Dude, it's your
fucking gimmick, how do you forget? However, PWS knew he forgot his stuff, so how hard would it be to find a robe , cap or a
clipboard for the poem gimmick?
Like I said in my news report, Danny Demanto got Rivera on the show for his own personal gain. She didn't belong in this
spot. Personally, like many other fans, wrestlers and promoters, I think Rivera is terrible, but if you had to use her, you
could've put her with someone else. I'm surprised Danny didn't put her with Omega so he could do a "kiss spot". At least that
would've made sense by having a face kiss the heel girl. Instead, Rivera was thrown into a match that didn't need a second.
Just to make it clear, I don't think anyone should've been managing in this match.
The biggest spot of the night saw the 53 year old Lanny "Genius" Poffo miss a moonsault. It was like a white flash, as his
pasty old body went splat on the mat. Lethal wins this match after a top rope elbow.
Again, disappointing match since Genius wasn't in gimmick. Lethal got a huge monster pop and probably would've gotten even a
bigger pop if Genius worked the crowd as the Genius before Lethal's entrance.
Sabu d. Trent Acid, Danny Doring & Justin Credible when Sabu pinned Trent
PWS had alot of matches advertised that didn't happen. While this four way was entertaining, I think PWS should've left
Acid/Sabu alone, and then do Doring/Credible instead.
Sabu got the biggest pop on the show. The match started with Acid & Doring jacking up Sabu. Credible made the save, and since
it was set up earlier he could join any match, he joined this one.
Really fun match here with the fans getting their monies worth. Acid took a finisher from every ECW guy. Sabu wins after an
Arabian face buster. Like I said, I think a Sabu/Acid match would've been better & meant more.
Low Ki & Eddie Kingston d. Danny Demanto & Necro Butcher
I know alot of smart mark fans were pissed that Demanto was in this match, but I feel if it happened in a venue that wouldn't
have frowned on massive blood loss, the fans would be talking about how great Danny did in stepping up rather than saying he
shouldn't have been there.
This match was a brawl, but didn't live up to the hype. Fans wanted blood and more sick shit. I guess fans are just spoiled
these days, but this match was built up so huge, that with all the no shows and building restrictions it was made to be
bigger than maybe it could've been.
The match started off with King/Ki beating up Necro since Joe wasn't there. King looked for Low Ki's approval but Low Ki
just went to town on Necro, ignoring King in the process. Demanto ran out for the save, returning the favor from earlier in
the show.
After in-ring action, the match spilled to the floor. All four guys brawled all over the building. Monsta Mack ran out and
chased Kingston out of the building, leaving Ki by himself. However, Ki was able to handle business and defeated Demanto via
pinfall after a top rope stomp. This match is a toss up for match of the night with the match that took place previous to
this one. This was the one match I would've liked to see Rocksha/Niggataker walk around in, giving us the first ever Low Ki
vs Rocksha vs Niggataker preview. Talk about an indy dream match.
Final McWord
I thought this show had alot of hits and misses. The show wasn't really awful, it was just long. There were good matches here
that are worth checking out on the DVD. I think the pacing was off a bit too as the show never truly seemed to flow.
The last four matches/matches after intermission got the hottest crowd reactions which was good. I just feel if this card
happened somewhere else there'd be more talk about it and a more electric feel. It's hard to explain. It just felt like
something was missing.
Two matches, Necro/Abyss & King/Mack were set for the next show. That sounds like a solid double-main event to me.
PWS plans on running in November, although nothing is official yet.
Overall
If you went to this show you got your monies worth despite the no-shows, due to all the name talent. At times it did seem the
show was moving 1/2 or 3/4 speed though.
