Taking a walk down memory lane, as we look back at another J-Cup show...

JCW J-Cup 2002 McTape Review

What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McTape Review. This time I will be reviewing JCW's 3rd annual Jersey J-Cup, which took place on June 15th, 2002. This is considered the best J-Cup in the series. Will it live up to the hype? Find out, as we review this tape.

JCW
J-CUP III
6/15/02
From Elizabeth, NJ

Show starts with "The Sure Thing" John Shane coming to the ring. The acoustics in the Rexplex isn't the best. Shane hypes up the importance of the J-Cup. In the background, we can see Ricky O walking around in a suit. Shane brings out the first ever J-Cup winner, Judas Young. Judas Young comes out, dressed in street clothes. Shane notices that Judas doesn't look like he's ready to wrestle tonight either. Young hypes up the cup. He talks about winning it the first time. Young says he appreciates the crowd. Young talks about getting reconstructive surgery on his shoulder in February, of 2002. He says he won't be able to wrestle in this tournament. Young talks about some of the participants and talks about the great wrestling we're in for later on. Shane gets the crowd to clap for Young. John Shane then brings out the 16 wrestlers in this years tournament. The 16 wrestlers get in the ring and pose for photos and the like. They all have their picture taken by the trophy. This was also the first time CM Punk or Colt Cabana appeared in NJ, for you those keeping track at home...

It also should be noted that Miss Michelle and Exctacy (Wrestling Vixxxen's Exctacy) accompanied the wrestlers to the ring for every match.

ROUND ONE

American Dragon d. Supreme Lee Great w/Frankie Fuji
This was a solid opener. Fuji looks a lot different here than he did in the 2001 J-Cup. SLG looks a lot lighter here than he does in 2004. This match started off with some fast mat wrestling. Dragon put SLG in a big headlock then shoulder tackled him down viciously. Dragon and SLG then tie each other up, and trade submissions. Dragon then puts SLG in a arm submission, and SLG quickly bails to the ropes. SLG gets up and lays in some right hands. SLG then backdrops Dragon down hard. SLG wails at Dragon with some huge chops. SLG then hits a trapped suplex on Dragon. Dragon gets back up and gives SLG some chops of his own. Dragon then gets a fisherman suplex off for 2. SLG then hits a huge lariat out of nowhere, but instead of going for the pin, he showboats. This gives Dragon time to kick out at 2. Dragon comes up, and kicks SLG's leg. SLG suplexes Dragon across the ring. Dragon then hits a back drop driver out of nowhere and gets the pinfall.
Fast match but very good.

Dave Greco d. Dixie
The referee looks retarded in this match. Dixie worked on Grecos left arm, but Greco countered it with a shoulder block. Dixie and Greco blocked each others forearms, but Dixie then came back with a clothesline. Dixie then dropped a knee and got 2. Dixie got Greco up and then slammed him right back down. Greco then airplane spinned Dixie and turned it into a boston crab. Dixie got the rope to break it. Greco then suplexed Dixie and got a 2. Greco then jumped on Dixie and put him in a submission hold, which Dixie broke out of. Dixie went for a sunset flip and got 2. Greco bounced back up and clotheslined Dixie down. Dixie got back up and forearmed Greco down for 2. Dixie argues the call with the ref. Greco then hits a version of the emerald fusion and gets the pin.
Another short match, that had an "indy" feel to it.
POSTMATCH: Greco and his ear lets us know that 2002 is his ear, I mean year.

Mark Briscoe d. "Shooter" Shawn Sheridan
Yes, Shooter is the same person as Showtime. Mark entered the tournament, while his brother Jay would challenge Inferno in a non-tournament match later on. Briscoe and Sheridan trade some fast mat holds. Briscoe slams Sheridan down, but both pop up. Briscoe then works on Sheridan's left arm. Sheridan gets out of it and hits a swinging neckbreaker. Briscoe sends Sheridan to the corner and hits a running knee to the face. Briscoe goes for a swing, but Sheridan pulls Briscoe's neck across the top. Sheridan then hits an Eddie Guerrero senton. Sheridan then goes to work on Briscoes neck, but Briscoe gets out of it and slams Briscoe down. Briscoe then hits a northern lights suplex, followed by a gutwrench suplex, 2 stomps on the chest and a knee to the chest for 2. Briscoe then puts Sheridan in a sleeper, but Sheridan gets out of it and hits the egodriver. Briscoe hits a german suplex on Sheridan for 2. Briscoe then hits a urinage for another 2. Sheridan gets crotched on the top rope, and fights Briscoe off of it. Briscoe then blocks Sheridan's top rope move. Briscoe then hits the burning hammer for 3.
Another solid match, as the tournament proceeds. Briscoe showed that he would be one of the best today with some flashes of brilliance in this match.

Scoot Andrews d. Jason Rumble
Scott and Jason collar and elbow each other all around the ring. Scoot ties Jason up, but Jason gets out of it with a headlock. Both guys keep working on each other's left arm. We know that this is basic in wrestling, but 15 tournament matches will be boring if the beginnings are all the same. Thankfully only this match seemed that way. After more submissions, Scoot hit a leg lariat for 2. Scoot then dropkicked Jason down for 2. Jason hit a big powerslam for 2. Jason puts Scoot in a sleeper then high knees him down. Scoot then gets sent into the turnbuckles. Jason hits a 1/2 Angle Slam. Jason climbs the top and hit a superfly press for 2. Scoot then crotches Jason on the top rope. Scoot throws him off and gets a 2. Jason gets up and hits a powerbomb for 2. Scoot then hits a front suplex for 2. Jason hits a dropkick from the top rope and gets 2. Scoot then hits an Owendriver or Forces of Nature for the 1-2-3.
Worst match of the first round. Jason looked lost.

Colt Cabana d. Damian Dragon
Cabana still is oozing charisma here, like he is now. It's hard not to get into the Cabana character. Dragon tries to get the locals into it early. Cabana pushes Dragon off. Dragon goes into a wrist lock, but has it reversed. Both men hit the ropes. After a leapfrog, Dragon lucha armdrags Cabana down. Dragon goes for another leapfrog, but lands on Cabana's head, so Cabana throws him down. We see more back and forth action, and Cabana puts Dragon in a 3/4 nelson. Dragon won't give up, so he gets tossed into the turnbuckle where he eats some fists. Cabana goes to charge in, but Dragon gets out of the way and hits a lightening kick. Cabana shakes this off and hits a big powerbomb. Instead of going for the pin, Cabana twists Dragon in a reverse boston crab. Cabana then see-saws him down for 2. Cabana comes back with a lariat for 2. Dragon gets back onto his feet and swings at Cabana. Dragon then hits the Eddie Guerrero senton, making that the second time we've seen this on this show. Dragon comes back with a Malenko kick for 2. Dragon tries for something else, but it gets blocked. Cabana hits a beautiful Colt 45, and that's all it took for the win.
Not either mans best match. Cabana did look good, and his Colt 45 finisher is devastating to watch.

AJ Styles d. Queenan Creed
There is no commentary on this tape, which is unfortunate. So I'd be remiss not to point out that Queenan Creed was a finalist in the 2001 J-Cup, hence this high profile opening round match. Both guys start mat wrestling by exchanging holds and submissions early on. It looked liek they were just trying to torque each others body position. AJ then puts Queenan in a headlock and holds it. AJ then went for a suplex, but Queenan blocked it. AJ then ddte'd him down instead. Queenan got up and was able to dropkick AJ down for 2. Queenan then unloaded with some european uppercuts. AJ came back with a big kick, laying Queenan down. AJ then hit a huge brainbuster for 2. Queenan got up, and was able to roll AJ for 2. AJ then came back with a small package for 2. Queenan comes back by tossing AJ's neck across the rope. He tries going for the pin, but AJ is in the corner and grabs the rope. AJ then hits a german suplex for 2. AJ puts Queenan in a tree of a woe, and just FUCKING BLASTS him with a forearm. This gets 2 as well. Creed hits a powerbomb, and holds AJ down, but AJ gets out at 2. Remember when powerbombs used to be finishers? Both men look to catch their breath, before getting to their feet, where Creed superkicks AJ down for 2. Creed then hits a vast array of kicks but none are good enough to get 3. AJ hits a cradle suplex and gets 2. AJ then puts Creed in a sleeper, but has it reversed, as Creed puts AJ in a sleeper. AJ gets out of it, and hits a discus lariat. AJ then hits a springboard dragon breaker but only gets 2. AJ and Creed try a bunch of moves and counter each other. AJ finally wins this struggle, and hits the Styles Clash for 3.
Pretty good match. You can tell that Creed wasn't in AJ's league. This was one of the better matches of the first round.

CM Punk d. Billy Reil
PREMATCH: CM Punk flashes his "X" and gets into some verbal abuse with a fan. By looking at these two square off, you'd think Reil was the punk. Both guys mat wrestle early, and hit some switches. They get back up, and Punk drop toe holds Reil down. Reil gets out of it by putting Punk in a wrist lock. Punk gets out of it, and snapmares Reil down. Reil worms out of it and puts Punk in a facelock. Really good shit here. Both guys square off yet again. Reil and Punk exchange some slaps. They then trade some counters, but Punk gets Reil down and puts Reil in a mexican surfboard. Nice. Reil flips out of it and gets a 2. Reil hits a fast rana on Punk, then clotheslines him over the top rope. As Punk tries to get in, Reil dropkicks him back out. Reil then joins Punk on the outside, and throws him into the hockey rink boards. 2 minutes for roughing. (You knew a lame joke was coming). Back in the ring, Reil knocks Punk down and gets a moonsault for 2. Punk comes back with a sunset flip, a russian legsweep, and the third Eddie Guerrero senton of the night. Punk then follows that up with a Malenko kick. This was the same sequence we saw in the Cabana/Dragon match. Punk brings Reil to his feet, and lights him up with some vicious chops. Punk then forearms Reil in the face. Reil tries fighting Punk off, but Punk keeps chopping at him. Punk slams Reil down and hits some knees. Punk goes to leapfrog Billy, but Punk lands akwardly. Punk sells his knee as injured. Billy Reil asks for help for Punk. This isn't the Billy Reil I know. Reil looks for help, but Punk springs back up and chop blocks Reil. What a heel. Punk works on Reil's left leg and puts him in a single leglock. Reil gets the ropes, so the hold is broken. Punk chops Reil down. Punk then hits a knee breaker and knocks Reil down again. Punk then puts Billy in an Indian Deathlock reverse full nelson combo. Reil looks hurt. Reil goes to sunset flip Punk, but Punk shakes it off and knocks Reil down again. Punk then hits a shining wizard on Reil. Instead of going for the pin, he lifts him up. Punk brings Reil to the corner, and places him on the top rope. Punk then goes for a superplex, but has it fought off by Reil. Reil then hits a front slam on Punk, laying out both guys. Reil gets up and hits some forearms on Punk. Reil then suplexes Punk down. Reil goes to the top and hits a perfect top rope elbow drop. Punk is able to get out at 2. Punk then puts Billy in a Texas Clover leaf, and Reil taps out.
Easily the best match of the first round. This was a really good match. I wish Reil worked like this today, like he did here. Punk showed why he's one of the best wrestlers around today in this match.

Reckless Youth d. Insane Dragon
Izzy attacks early as he baseball slides Reckless. Izzy then hits a baseball rana on the outside. Izzy follows that up with a tope on the outside. Izzy finally brings Reckless in the ring, to officially start the match. Izzy hits a huge springboard dropkick. Izzy keeps going at Youth and hits some lucha armdrags. Youth comes back with a quick dragon screw. Reckless knocks Izzy down some, and then puts Izzy in a version of the sharpshooter. Reckless then hits a dropkick. Reckless elbows Izzy down and hits a neckbreaker. Reckless then stomps on Izzy, and looks for crowd support. Izzy kicks Reckless, then hits a flip dropkick. Reckless then slams Izzy down and hits a european uppercut. Reckless then tosses Izzy into the turnbuckle. Reckless then starts talking shit and tells Izzy that it's too easy. Reckless goes for a fisherman's suplex, but Izzy wrestles him down for 2. Reckless then hits a spinning neckbreaker for 2. Reckless slingshots Izzy into the corner, and eats a sliced bread number 2 by Izzy. Izzy only gets 2 on the sliced bread. Reckless then hits a big brainbuster out of nowhere for the three.
Fast paced match that was very enjoyable. Youth mocks Izzy during his exit.

ROUND 2

American Dragon d. Dave Greco
They start off by walking around the ring in a collar and elbow position. Both take each other down but don't let down of the hold. Greco gets Dragon in a leg scissors, and as Dragon tries to break out of it, Greco pile drives him down. Dragon got out of it and hit a yakuza kick. Greco came back with a dragon screw then applied pressure to Dragons knee. Greco then put Dragon's leg on the middle rope and kicked at the knee. Greco then went to put Dragon in a stretch muffler, but Dragon wiggled out of it. Both kept trying to get the other to submit, to no avail. Finally they get on their feet, and Dragon goes nuts by lacing in alot of forearms to Greco's face. Greco then bounced off the rope but was cut off by a Dragon lariat. Greco continued to work on Dragon's leg and tried to get Dragon to give up. Dragon hit a backdrop driver, then put Greco in a million dollar dream crossface submission for the win.
Decent match, that will probably go down as one of Greco's better matches.
POSTMATCH: Dragon blows snot rockets, ala Chris Benoit on Greco's ears.

Scoot Andrews d. Mark Briscoe
Both men lock up and trade holds. Briscoe and Scoot exchange some 2's, before squaring off again. Briscoe puts Andrews in the same head scissors we saw last match. Scoot gets out, but gets put into it again. Scoot hits the ropes to break the hold. Scoot then wraps Briscoe's arms and puts him in a camel clutch submission. Briscoe breaks the hold by putting his teeth on the ropes. Very innovative and great ring presence. Scoot then took Briscoe and laced in some chops and backdropped Scoot. Scoot takes a break on the outside but comes back in for punishment. Scoot then whips Briscoe to the ropes and he hits a Forces of Nature on Briscoe, without the pumphandle. Scoot then puts Briscoe in a modified abdominal stretch. Briscoe fights out of it. Scoot then hits a tiger suplex for 2. Scoot blocks a weak bulldog attempt by Briscoe, then clotheslines him down for 2. Both men charge the ropes then charge each other and we see a double clothesline. Both men get up and we see them exchange punches. Briscoe then hits a urinage for 2. Briscoe goes for a top rope rana, but Scoot don't go down. Briscoe goes for another one, but Briscoe falls down as Scoot jumps off. Briscoe then hits a burning hammer and the ref counts three. The ref then takes back the three. This was the same ref that I alluded to earlier as "retarded." Scoot then gets up and hits an inverted piledriver for 3.
Horrible match. Scoot looked off the entire time. After watching this tape, you don't get what the big deal is about Scoot. Briscoe killed himself the entire match, just to go down in a bad match. The ref didn't help things either by counting three.

AJ Styles d. Colt Cabana
These guys go right at it with technical wrestling, as both guys exchange holds. Both guys try to power the other one down, and AJ gets Cabana to drop first. AJ twists his body all over Cabana and has Cabana twisted all out of shape. Cabana comes back and wrings Styles down. Syles then hits a rana from his back on Cabana. Cabana chopped AJ out of the ring. Cabana went to the outside, just to eat a AJ superkick. AJ goes for an asai moonsault but misses. Cabana then throws AJ at the ring apron then hits a nice asai moonsault himself. Back in the ring, Cabana dominates on AJ, before getting stomped in the face on a sunset flip. AJ then kicked at Cabana's ribs and sent him to the outside. Cabana came back in, just to eat some chops and a huge lariat. Cabana came back by hitting a big time back body drop on Styles. Cabana then hit a legdrop for 2. Cabana then hit a tornado suplex! A first time for everything I guess, as I never have seen that before. Cabana dropped a knee on AJ's face, but AJ got back up and went to town on Cabana. AJ followed it up with a drop kick for 2. Styles went for a styles clash, but had it reversed into a back breaker. AJ got back up and reversed some moves and body slammed Colt down. Cabana came back with a huge superplex on AJ. He only got 2. Both then reversed each other's moves and knocked each other out. AJ went for a tornado DDT, but instead was northern light suplexed into the turnbuckles. Colt got 2 on that gig. AJ then bumped Colt off the top rope, and hit a corkscrew senton for the three.
Arguably the best match in the whole tournament. This was a great fucking match. Colt showed that he can blend comedy with wrestling. AJ showed why he's one of the best indy wrestlers today.

Reckless Youth d. CM Punk
PREMATCH: CM Punk gets into it with a fan. Punk knocks the guys hat off and gives him the finger. What a badass.
Punk starts the match by sitting on the top rope and mocking Reckless. Punk puts Reckless in a headlock right away. Reckless wears him down, but Punk comes back at Reckless. Reckless goes after Punk's left arm and bends it. Punk gets out of it, and goes for a Tazmission. Reckless hits the ropes to break it. Reckless goes to put Punk in a sharpshooter, but Punk gets to the ropes to break it. Punk puts Reckless in a bow and arrow but Reckless gets out. Reckless then puts Punk in one of these submissions that a puro fan knows the name of. Reckless kept up the innovative submissions but Punk would not tap. Punk came back at Reckless with a knockdown and a big time snap suplex. Punk then dropped a knee on Reckless's head. Punk then hit a neckbreaker on Youth. Youth went to the outside, and Punk hit him with a baseball slide. Punk then hits a swanton from the ring to the floor on Youth. Very fucking dangerous, it looked like Punk landed very hard on Youth, as there were no mats on the stiff floor. Punk took alot of time capitalizing on the move, and Youth atomic dropped him, but not before Punk could knock him on the outside, where Youth cracked Punks left leg open with vicious moves. Punk then came back in the ring samoan rolled Youth and hit a split legged moonsault for 2. Punk then hit a high knee lift to Youth, then hit his double under hook backbreaker. Youth hits a drop toe hold, then follows it up with a shining wizard for 2. Youth then hits a frogsplash from the top for 2. Youth gets Punk in a tree of woe. Youth then dropkicks Punk in his stomach, sending punk straight up on the top rope. Reckless suplexes him down, then hits a northern lights bomb for the pin.
Another great match in this tournament. Both really looked good here.

ROUND THREE

American Dragon d. Scoot Andrews
Both felt each other out to start the match, with Scoot getting the advantage. Scoot kept going after Dragon's left leg the entire match. Scoot kicked at it, twisted it, dragon screwed it time and time again to injure the wheel. Dragon was trying to fight off Scoot's offense, by kicking Scoot in the leg. Scoot looks 5 shades darker next to American Dragon. Scoot hit a nice dropkick right onto Dragon's injured knee. Scoot went for a figure four, but Dragon chopped himself out of it. Scoot then proceeded to damage Dragon's leg more by slamming it into the ring post and putting on the Bret Hart figure pole 4 leg lock. Dragon came back with a ddt/suplex move. Dragon then forearmed Scoot down and hit a victim kick for 2. Dragon and Scoot fight on the outside. They get back in the ring, and Scoot hits a Forces of Nature for 2. Scoot puts Dragon in a figure four. Dragon's too close to the ropes, so he's able to get the hold broken. Dragon then puts Scoot in the million dollar cross face submission to win the match.
Alot better than Scoot's last match. American Dragon looked really good here.

Reckless Youth d. AJ Styles
Both guys tried doing similiar moves to start off and they wound up at a stand still. AJ then went on the offensive with forearms and a big knockdown. AJ then chopped at Reckless and hit a flip dropkick. Youth then got AJ down and went for a submission, only for AJ to break out of it. Reckless kept going back to the left arm alot in this match. Youth went for a schoolboy, but only got 2. Both men put each other in waist locks, before going for a test of strength, which AJ won by suplexing Youth down for 2. AJ went to put Youth in a sleeper, but Youth got out. Both men made their way to the outside, where Youth hit a kneebreaker on AJ. Youth then put AJ in various submissions, but had them countered, as AJ put Youth in submissions. Youth wrestled very Torymunish in this match. Reckless hit his northern lights bomb on AJ, but AJ kicked out at 2. Reckless went to the top, but AJ caught him and hit a ddt on Youth out of a razors edge position. Youth came back with more forearms, then hit a spinning face slam for 2. Youth then hit a lionsault at AJ for 2. Both men then traded 2 falls on various pinning moves. Youth then hit a standing rana out of nowhere for the pinfall.
Another solid match in this tournament. I think it could've went longer or see the Styles Clash teased, but both these guys already wrestled 2 long matches.

NON TOURNAMENT MATCH

For the JCW Heavyweight Title
(c) Inferno d. Jay Briscoe
Yikes. After watching this, you will say damn, Jay Briscoe is the man. In this match you'll see Jay Briscoe with only one tattoo, and looking like Mr Egghead from the old Batman movies. Both guys start off with a long lockup, before hitting the ropes, where Briscoe gets Inferno down fast. Briscoe moves so fast when he wrestles, it's amazing. Jay really looks like an alien patient going through radiation with that bald head and solid black singlet. Inferno puts Jay in a surfboard submission, but Briscoe fights out of it. Inferno and Briscoe exchange more holds, and Briscoe winds up in an abdominal strretch. Briscoe moves so fast when he counter wrestles, that even the ref doesn't know what's going on. Briscoe hits a quick powerbomb on Inferno for 2. Briscoe applies a sit down sleeper on Inferno but Inferno powers out of it. Inferno goes for a cross body block but crashes hard. Jay then hits a big body block, but Inferno rolls through it for 2. Jay Briscoe then came back with his rolling suplexes combo. Briscoe then stretched Inferno in a dragon clutch. Inferno came back with a back body drop. Inferno picked Briscoe up, and chopped him right back down. He picked Briscoe up again, and Briscoe made him pay with a flying lariat. Briscoe then works in a long rear chin lock on Inferno. Inferno got up and kicked Jay down. Inferno went for another top rope move, but Jay caught him and put him in a fujiwara armbar. The crowd at this point is going nuts for Jay Briscoe. Inferno came back and put Jay in armbar, and heard boos. Jay then puts Inferno in another rear chin lock. Inferno got up and hit a spinning heel kick adn a few clotheslines on Briscoe. He then hit a russian leg sweep for 2. Inferno then went to the top rope for a third time, and this time it was a charm as he hit a big elbow for 2. Jay got up though and hit the Jay Driller. Somehow, Inferno kicked out of the move that has pinned many. That move is vicious. Jay then goes for go around pin, but Inferno sitds down on it and breaks it up. Inferno looks groggy after the Jay Driller. Inferno hits an inverted DDT for a large chorous of boos. How Inferno can kick out of a Jay Driller and Jay can't kick out of a DDT is horrendous. The crowd feels the same way as chants of BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT rain down on Inferno.
POSTMATCH: Inferno is inaudible on the microphone, as the crowd is drowning him out with chants of Briscoe. I can't make out a word he's saying, so it can't be that important, because Inferno just walks off to the back as the crowd keeps booing him. The crowds disdain for Inferno is incredible, and the funny thing is that he's a face! This match looked like it was being wrestled under Iron Man rules with all the rest holds. Jay Briscoe stole the show, and the whole crowd was against Inferno, as it seemed that he kicked out of everything. Either way, this was another match showing Jay's brilliance.

ROUND FOUR
JCW J-CUP TOURNAMENT FINAL
WINNER BECOMES 2002 J-CUP CHAMPION

Reckless Youth d. American Dragon
The crowd seems split on both guys. Both guys feel each other out with some fast wrist locks and take downs. Both guys are versed in submission wrestling, so we saw alot of that early on, as both guys would take each other down and then go for another submission. This match had lots of standoffs, as both guys kept mat wrestling into it. The first 10 or so minutes of this match were just back and forth submissions, weakening each other. Reckless went after Dragon's injured left leg from the match previous. Dragon came back by knocking Youth down with a forearm. Dragon hit a wicked tiger suplex for 2. Wow. Reckless came back with a big time back drop driver. Youth then lariated Dragon out of his boots for 2. Youth then hits a northern lights bomb for 2. Youth then drags Dragon to the middle of the ring and goes to the top. Dragon cuts him off by shaking the ropes, sending Youth down on the ropes. Dragon climbs up and hits a back drop from the top on Mr. Youth. This only gets 2. Dragon then went for the million dollar dream/cross face move, but Youth wouldn't tap. Youth breaks up the move by getting to the ropes. Dragon puts Youth back on the top rope, but Youth fights it off. Youth hits a huge tornado ddt on Dragon for 2. Youth then puts Dragon in a leg lock and Dragon taps out.
Another solid match in this tournament. You can tell this show was booked in NJ, as Youth defeated Dragon. I think anywhere else, Dragon would've got the duke. Either way, a good match.

POSTMATCH: The JCW Locker Room clears out to congratulate Youth. Youth helps Dragon to his feet. Youth and Dragon celebrate. John Shane comes in the ring and starts the celebration. Youth gets the trophy handed to him. Youth puts over the high talent in this tournament, without knocking the guys in last years tournament. Youth then thanks the fans. John Shane awards AJ Styles as the MVP of the tourny. Well, that's odd. We then see Reckless pose for pictures. The rest of the participants come in the ring and take pictures with the victorious Reckless Youth.

Final McWord
I've seen 3/4 J-Cups, and this is the best one I've ever seen. This may be the best JCW show ever. This also made NJ wrestling history as the first show to run in the Rexplex. There are lots of great matches in this tournament. This also springboarded guys into bigger places in indy wrestling. I think this tournament had the most name value than any other tournament in JCW.

I think this show is more enjoyable on tape than live due to the length. 16 matches is alot of matches to sit through live but on tape it's easier to watch. I mean, I meant to have this review up a week ago, but the matches kept on rolling. I think the cost of the tape is $15.00, so you definitely get your money's worth.

To purchase this tape go to http://www.jcwwrestling.com or email Ricky O at mrjcw@optonline.net

Don't forget, the fifth annual J-Cup is on June 27th. The J-Cup has a rich history, and with the line-up this year, it has the potential to be the best J-Cup ever.
