"RF Video goes undercover with...New Jack"

What's up everyone and welcome to a special McTape review here on the DOI. This time I sat down and watched RF Video's newest release, "RF Video goes undercover with...New Jack". This tape runs a little bit over an hour, and exclusively covers New Jack's recent incident, which landed New Jack in jail.

For those who don't know, New Jack was arrested earlier this fall, after an incident at a recent indy show down south. He stabbed a wrestler, who he called "green as snot", 14 times with a long bladed knife, during a match. This tape shows the complete incident, and New Jack talks about the aftermath of the incident. In a cool little segment, we actually watch the match, with New Jack commentating and telling you what's going on, and what was going through his mind.

The tape starts off with New Jack in RF Video's office. He describes what happened. New Jack says that the show was poorly promoted and he was booked against some green as snot wrestler. He said he's easy to work with but will not be taken advantage of. He said the guy in the ring tried doing stupid things with him, so New Jack defended himself and stabbed the guy, because the guy did say he wanted to bleed in the ring. When asked if this incident was worse than Mass Transit, New Jack said yes. Personally, after seeing it, I'd say the Mass Transit incident was much worse, because you could see Mass Transit's artery gushing, where here, you don't see the blood, due to the shoddy camera work of whatever crew taped this incident down south.

New Jack talks about going to jail for this incident. He said the wrestler who he stabbed, wasn't the one who pressed the charges. Regardless, New Jack was still sent to jail. He said people in jail knew who he was, but he didn't want anything to do with them, because he's had it with people. New Jack talks about how he needed money and was broke. He said he had to pay attorney fees and couldn't afford it. He said some fans responded to his plea about needing money. He said the majority of people who claim to be his friend in the business didn't want anything to do with him in jail. He said he found out who his true friends were. He also said fuck the fans and he don't care about the fans no more. He said he entertained the fans for 14+ years, and said he was tired of doing it, because except for a few select fans, none of them helped him out when he needed the fans the most.

New Jack talks about getting out of jail. He said he's going to do what he has to do for himself. He said he has a few projects up his sleeve, including the recent release of the new Backyard Wrestling Video Game, where he's a featured wrestler. New Jack also plugs his friends CD label.

New Jack talks about some other things as well on this tape, but the focus of the tape is the recent incident.

After talking about the incident, we get to watch the incident, with New Jack telling us what's going on. The match is played and New Jack shows how the guy didn't listen to the spots New Jack was calling. The guy then tries to dump New Jack on his head, and New Jack holds his own and just fucks the guy up. The length of the match is literally 3 minutes, as after the guy makes he mistake of taking liberties with New Jack, New Jack stabs the guy and lays him out with a yakuza kick. After stabbing him in the head, and leaving some of the blade inside the head, the promoter runs out, as New Jack holds the wrestler die. The camera then fades out.

After hearing New Jack talk about it, we watch the segment by itself. After watching the match over again, some past matches of New Jack are included on this tape, including a match from Norm Conners IWC.

Final McWord
This felt like I was watching a 20/20 piece on New Jack. It was like OJ talking to Barbara Walters and explaining how he's not guilty. I believe this is the first time RF Video tried getting a scoop on a news story, and this video is a very informative story. New Jack is a wild man and if you ever watched any of his shoots, you know what I'm talking about.

I really liked how New Jack explained the incident as it was going on. You get to hear his own side. In the 40 minutes that New Jack talks candidly, you can feel his frustrations. You also realize that you don't want to be on his bad side.

One interesting thing that New Jack gets into, is how the New York State Athletic Commission is still giving problems. He didn't mention his recent matches in USA Pro Wrestling, but he talked about how the NYSAC has been giving problems.

Also to note is that the show where the incident took place was empty as hell. There must've been 10 fans there tops. For people (And I'm one of them), who say that this area is full of promoters who don't really promote, it is no where as bad in the south, where shows dress up the fans as empty seats.

Overall
Anytime New Jack publicly talks, it's definitely worth hearing. No one is more controversial than New Jack. I gotta give props to RF Video for getting New Jack to talk about all this stuff, as when the Mass Transit incident happened, New Jack didn't openly talk about it. Before buying this tape, be advised that it is short, but very informative. It is also graphic. I enjoyed this tape alot and I'd highly recommend it to any New Jack fan.
