The DVD starts off with a Damian Adams promo. He talks about The Pitbull Gary Wolfe, and the ongoing feud they have.
Up next is Rockin Rebel. He talks about his upcoming match with Jack Victory.
We then go to the parking lot, as Striker/Rob Eckos arrive. Striker is dressed up and acting like Roddy Piper. Eckos looks disgusted by Striker's actions. This was a funny promo.
We then go to Ruckus, who talks about his upcoming triple threat match. He closes the promo by saying "What the fuck is a Low Ki?" Well, I guess Ruckus hasn't been paying attention to wrestling the last 4-5 years.
We then go to Joey Matthews who gives a promo talking about respect.
CJ O'Doyle vs Rob Eckos
CJ hit a nice backdrop early on in this match. Eckos came back and hit the Alpine Line on CJ.
CJ would eventually be able to get off a deathdrop for 2. Eckos then hit a picture perfect superkick for 2.
CJ comes back, but Eckos hits the Alpine Line from the second turnbuckle for the pinfallwin.
WINNER: Rob Eckos
This was a short little match, that I believe may have been CJ's debut.
Jack Victory vs Rockin' Rebel
Brawl to start. I na funny spot, Ref Jim Molineaux double clotheslines Victory and Rebel down. Molineaux goes to pin
Rebel, but Rebel throws Molineaux off and onto Victory. Victory then throws Molineaux back on Rebel, and Molineaux
gets up, showing signs of a smile. Funny shit here. Victory wins this short match, after putting his feet on the ropes
for the 1-2-3.
WINNER: Jack Victory
This match was nothing to write home about.
POSTMATCH: Rebel accuses Jim Molineaux of sucking Victory's dick, for not seeing Victory's feet on the ropes. Rebel attacks
Molineaux, and Victory comes out to lend a helping hand, as both men double team Molineaux.
Damian Adams vs Gary Wolfe
Damian Adams comes out like a house of fire, as he sprints to the ring and goes right to work on Gary Wolfe. Damian
even hit a top rope frogsplash, onto Gary Wolfe, while Gary Wolfe was standing on the outside. Damian continued the
attack as he threw Wolfe into the guard rails. Wolfe came back, as he hit two powerbombs on Adams. Wolfe then hit a
lefty version of the burning hammer, for the 1-2-3, to win the match in less than 4 minutes.
WINNER: Pitbull Gary Wolfe
I was suprised after seeing the promo, that Damian lost so easily.
POSTMATCH: Promo with Gary Wolfe, as he talks smack on Damian Adams. Wolfe says he's the man and he made Damian respect
him here. Wolfe closes this by saying "Damian you got the guts, but you don't have the nuts." Ha.
The Sugar Shack is up next. Tod Gordon is with his sex slave, Talia. Tod even has a leash around Talia's neck. Tod
makes Talia touch her toes, so he can get a peek at her ass crack. Tod continues to sexually harrass Talia, and makes
her touch her toes again. Tod continues to make Talia touch her toes, as he makes her do it a few more times. After
verbally degrading Talia some more, Tod brings out Jasmin St. Claire. George Frankenstein aka Gorgeous George from WCW
aka Macho Man's ex girl friend comes out as well. This leads to our next match...
Bra and Panties Match
Jasmin St. Claire vs Gorgeous George
PREMATCH: Commissioner Tod Gordon makes Jasmin and George strip to their bra and panties before the match starts. Tod
is also our referee for this 5 star encounter.
This match starts off with both gals rolling around the ring in their bra and panties. Quickly after rolling around, the
girls decide to kiss. George and Jasmin french kiss in the ring for a considerable amount of time. Tod then grabs
a chair, and sits down. He tells Talia to assume the position. Talia lays over Tods leg, and Jasmin and Talia take
turns spanking Talia.
WINNERS: Straight Males, Lesbians and the Wonder Bra corporation.
This was some good entertainment to set up for our first serious match of the DVD. It would also be remiss if I didn't
mention Talia had a nice ass throughout this skit.
Ruckus vs Low Ki vs Joey Matthews
Joey Matthews waits on the outside, as before the match, he cut a promo on both of the men in the ring. He lets
Low Ki and Ruckus dish it out, as his strategy was to have these two beat the crap out of each other, and come in
as the fresh man.
The match starts off with both guys feeling each other out, as both try a series of submission holds. Low Ki got the
upper hand quick, and his fury elbow. Joey looks on. Ruckus would come back with some high impact offense of his own.
Low Ki would hit some chops, and Ruckus would counter again with a spring board kick. Low Ki would come back again, and
hit the Tidal Wave. Low Ki then hit the Ki-Krusher, and cleanly pinned Ruckus in the middle of the ring.
With Ruckus pinned, Joey Matthews comes into the ring. This triple threat match turns into Low Ki vs Joey Matthews.
Joey gets the advantage early in this match, as he was able to worm his way out of a Tidal Wave. Joey pounded on Low
Ki and hit a northern lights suplex. Joey continued to work on Low Ki and picked up several near falls. Low Ki would
eventually come back, by lighting up Matthews with a series of stiff kicks, and a springboard shot to the head of Matthews.
Low Ki went for the dragon clutch during this point, only to see Matthews reverse it. Low Ki later on, went for a Ki
Krusher, but Matthews blocked it. Low Ki then countered Matthews, and put Matthews in a Ki Klutch, only to see Matthews
run full speed into the corner, making Ki break the hold. The finish of this match saw Low Ki go for the Ki Krusher,
only for Matthews to turn it into a cradle. Matthews held the ropes with one hand, as he hooked Ki's leg with another.
This led to the pinfall.
WINNER: Joey Matthews
This was a good match with solid booking. This was the beginning of the Joey Matthews build in 3PW. I was suprised to
see Ki go down, but it was booked in a way that it made sense.
Monsta Mack/Mike Kruel vs Blue Meanie/Roadkill
This match featured brawling, wrestling and comedy, as this match pitted 4 different styles from 4 different wrestlers.
Meanie worked over Kruel in the beginning of the match, and got the advantage. Both men would tag out, and Mack squared
off with Roadkill. Mack hit a huge powerslam on Roadkill. Mack then mocked Roadkill, by putting on Roadkills hat, only
for Roadkill to pound away on Mack. Roadkill and Meanie would then hit a backbreaker/legdrop combo on Mack. Eventually,
Kruel/Mack would get some fire back, and Mack hit a huge shining wizard on Meanie. In the later stages of this match, Mack
went for a chair, but the ref took it away. Roadkill then hit a Boss Man swinging slam on Mack. Roadkill then grabbed
a chain, but the ref took it away from him. Roadkill then grabbed out a sock, and administered an Amish mandible claw
to Mack. The ref took the sock off of Roadkill, giving Mack enough time to grab a steel chair, and wail Roadkill over
the head with it for the 1-2-3, as Kruel wouldn't let Meanie into the ring to break up the count.
WINNERS: Monsta Mack/Mike Kruel
Solid little tag team match here.
"Hot Stuff" Matt Striker vs Superfly Jimmy Snuka
Striker is dressed up as Rowdy Roddy Piper, as he even came out to Piper's music. Striker was even introduced from being
from Glasgow, Manhattan. Funny shit. Before the match started, Striker grabbed the mic, and did a horrible
Piper impersonation. I think it was meant to be horrible, as it made it even funnier to watch. Striker brought out
some coconuts as well during this promo, to rehash the famous Piper/Snuka coconut incident.
The crowd cheered for Snuka right off the bat, as Striker attacked Snuka, Piperstyle. Man watching this, I was hoping
for a Honky Tonk Man run-in or some shit, as Piper/HTM have a long feud going on, albeit on the internet only. It
didn't take long for Snuka to get the advantage on Striker Rod, as he hit some shots, and a backbreaker. Snuka then hit
a Superfly Splash, to win this match in less than 3 minutes!
WINNER: Superfly Jimmy Snuka
This was a funny match, I just wish it wasn't so short, but what can you do when Snuka is getting up there in age.
POSTMATCH: Gary Wolfe came out. Wolfe attacked Snuka and pounded on him. Wolfe left, and Snuka got up to a big pop.
Sabu vs Jerry Lynn
This was another match of contrasting styles, as Sabu brawled early, and Lynn tried wrestling Sabu down. Sabu hit one
of his trademark dives on Lynn. This match eventually went to the crowd, where Lynn dumped Sabu, and followed up with
a dive. In a very cool spot in this match, Sabu went for a chair dive, only to be cut off by a lariat from Lynn. Tables
were set up in this match early, but weren't used right away. This match had alot of brawling, and both guys worked
hard. This match also featured several false finishes, as Lynn hit a wicked emerald fusion for 2. Sabu huranacarana'ed
Lynn through a table, but the table didn't break. Lynn landed on the table and laid there. This set up Sabu, as he
hit a top rope leg drop on Lynn through the table for the pinfall, and the victory.
This is one of the best matches on the DVD, even though Sabu has fallen off a bit after years and years of killing
himself for next to nothing paydays. Lynn looked good here and it seems that he hasn't lost a step.
WINNER: Sabu
3PW vs CZW Match
Raven w/Jack Victory and Sandman vs Zandig/Wifebeater
PREMATCH: Raven and Sandman don't get along, and Raven showed it here. Raven who is the commissioner, told Sandman that
there was no drinking or smoking in his ring. Raven also said there was no Metallica allowed in his ring. Sandman abided
by Ravens rules, and put everything away. Zandig then came to the ring. Raven insulted him. Wifebeater then came out.
Zandig grabbed the mic, and said the match was under CZW rules. Zandig was over as a face, while Raven got some corny
face pops. After more insults, we had our match.
THis match was just a fucking brawl. Both teams fought all over the place, and quickly made their way to the now, old
stage, of the ECW arena. Raven and Sandman tossed Wifebeater 15 feet down off the stage and right through a table.
This match then turned into a Raven/Sandman double team on Zandig. Lots of weapons were used in this match. Eventually
the match turned into Raven vs Zandig, as the top man in 3PW at the time, battled the man who symbolizes CZW. Towards
the end of the match, we saw some near falls, as Sandman almost had Wifebeater pinned after a chair shot. The finish of
this match saw Raven about to DDT Zandig, only for Raven's partner, Sandman, to interfere, and DDT his own partner, Raven.
Zandig then jumped on top of Raven and got the 1-2-3.
WINNERS: Team CZW, Zandig and Wifebeater
This is probably the most entertaining match on the DVD, and the work between Raven and Zandig was fun to watch.
POSTMATCH: Zandig and Wifebeater got up, as Sandman laughed about getting his revenge. Zandig said now that CZW won,
he's in charge. He gives Sandman a cigarette and a beer. Raven just sat there in disgust. Funny. Zandig then gets
"Enter Sandman" to play, and this closes the DVD.
BONUS MATCH
For the 3PW Heavyweight Championship
(C) Sabu w/Tod Gordon vs Syxx-Pac aka Sean Waltman
PREMATCH: Former 3PW Champion, Gary Wolfe comes out. He makes an open challenge to the winner of this match.
These wrestlers started the match with some mat wrestling. Waltman looked good in this match, and showed no signs
of ring rust. Both guys just wrestled and counter wrestlerd each other. Sabu went for some of his trademark moves, but
had trouble hitting them, which Waltman capitalized on. After missing a bronco buster on Sabu, Sabu took a chair and
dropkicked it into Waltman's face. Sabu would later on hit an arabian facebuster, right on the nose of Waltman.
Sabu then grabbed a table, which had a broken leg. Sabu went to set something up, but as he pushed Wlatman on the table,
the table gave way and broke. Sabu grabbed another table, and tried sentoning Waltman through it, but Waltman got out
of the way, and Sabu crashed through the table. After some chair shots, Waltman legdropped Sabu through a table. Later
on, Waltman hit an arabian bronco buster. Cool spot. Waltman would later go on to X-Factor Sabu on a chair, but Sabu
kicked out at 2. The finish of this match saw Sabu hit a top rope powerbomb on Waltman through a table, which had a chair
on it, for the pin, and to retain his 3PW title.
Another solid match on this DVD. Waltman looked great here.
Final McWord
I thought Low Ki/Matthews/Ruckus was the best wrestling match on the DVD, while the Raven/Sandman vs Zandig/Wifebeater
was the most entertaining. The Sugar Shack segment was also easy on the eyes and enjoyable.
This is 3PW's 5th DVD release, as they have been making waves in the National DVD department. This DVD pretty much chronicles the last 3PW show of 2003.
The commentators in this are ok, but at times there is no clear cut heel/face. I'm a bigger fan of the Clemson/Da Bald Guy duo, but Strauss/Winner are better to listen to then alot of the people that are out there today.
For anyone who hasn't seen 3PW, this is definitely worth checking out, especially if you want to get familiar with the product. Watching this is like watching a show at the arena. The only thing is, is that I think 3PW's product today, is better than what's show on the DVD, because guys like AJ Styles and Chris Daniels are 3PW regulars, and are not featured on this DVD. But if you know Daniels and AJ, and you watch this, you can get a feel of the 3PW product that's out now.
Overall
Worth picking up. 3PW is the only promotion that I can think of to feature a Waltman/Sabu match. If you're a pervert,
then you need to check out the Sugar Shack on this DVD. This DVD also features the CZW vs 3PW match, so if you're
a collector of wrestling history, then this is a DVD you need. I recommend this DVD.
