The Second 3PW DVD

What up boys and girls and welcome to another McTape review. Today I watched 3PW's latest DVD offering, "Recipe For Disaster". Recipe For Disaster included matches from this past year and more, so let's run this down before I got to go to the bar! (Waiting for a message board post saying MiC is a drunk to come up after someone reads that lol)

Just a note, instead of doing play-by-play match results, I'll just give my opinions, so I don't ruin the whole match for anyone interested in getting this DVD from www.3pwrestling.com

I got the DVD because it's only $5 bucks more and you get a bonus match, plus Mike Johnson, of 1wrestling.com, match descriptions. The match descriptions are a cool feature to this DVD and I wouldn't be surprised if more companies didn't add this feature on their DVD's. Pretty much, for every match on the DVD, you could read a description on the wrestlers involved and the importance of the match.

Another menu on the DVD, is the gallery. The gallery is a staple of 3PW DVD's and this one did not disappoint. It is just random pictures of 3PW stars and action shots.

Onto the DVD itself...

The DVD opens up with a 5 minute long music video with highlight clips. The song is called "Time of My Life" by The Swamp Candles. Pretty good song, and I found myself humming it when dropping a number 2. Pretty freakin catchy lol. The clips are the best of 3PW, and from matches featured on the tape. Onto the matches now:

Kid Kash d. Kid Kruel
"Shooter" Mike Kruel was Kid Kruel when this match took place. This was a decent match. I actually liked Kruel's style of wrestling in this match, then what he does now. It wasn't just the left arm in this match that Kruel was working on, it was the whole body. Kid Kash always is impressive and won this impressive match with the double underhook piledriver.

Also got to mention that the commentators in this show are Gerry Strauss and Mike Winner. If you didn't see my last 3PW DVD review, check it out. I honestly wasn't too impressed with them in the last DVD, but they came off a lot better in this one. They were saying things I was thinking and were very humorous and did a good job of putting the matches over they were calling. A definite step up, in my opinion, over the last show they called.

Balls Mahoney and Nosawa d. Da Hit Squad (Monsta Mack and Mafia)
What an excellent showing, in this hardworking match. I think if there were 3 major wrestling companies like there were back a few years ago, Da Hit Squad would be ripping shit up like the Dudley Boyz did. I have a new favorite Japanese wrestler, and his name is Nosawa. I love the Nosawa gimmick. For those who have never seen Nosawa work, he flips off everyone. His whole gimmick is him screaming "FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU!" then flipping someone off. It's fucking hysterical, and one of the reasons this DVD got the Parental Advisory sticker. Back to the match, I was cracking up when the commentator, Mike Winner, asked "Does Nosawa kiss his mom with that mouth?" It was corny, but he hit the line dead on balls. Gerry Strauss made a few balls/nuts jokes due to Balls Mahoney in this match, but that's expected. Balls Mahoney looked very impressive in this match. He really has picked up his game and looks better now in the ring then he did a few years ago. He hit this nice russian leg sweep cradle that I've never seen him do before. The pre-story of this match was that Balls and Nosawa were forced to team up and don't get along. So during the finish of this match, they tease a break up, but wind up sticking it out. Balls hits a frogsplash on Mafia, then BRUTALLY BEATS HIS HEAD in with a chair. It was sickening, and had concussion written all over it. Mafia drops as Nosawa distracts Mack, and Balls pins Mafia for the win. Great match.

POSTMATCH: Balls and Nosawa fight. Balls gets the upperhand, only for Nosawa to slide out of the ring and say FUCK YOU a few times. Hilarious.

Wet T-Shirt Contest
Winner gets to sleep with Jasmin St. Claire

Nicole Bass d. Missy Hyatt, Brianna, Cyberchick and Daydream the Jersey Girl.
As a hardworking indy reporter, I must cover this wet t-shirt contest. Lord knows I watched it 5 times lol. Seriously though, if you got nothing better to do on a Thursday night, this DVD is better than a Victoria's Secret Catalog lol

Your judges for this contest are Tod Gordon, Jasmin St. Claire and Mini Meanie aka Mad dog. They judge "American Idol" style.

I'll try to give the nipple by nipple descriptions

Daydream comes out first, and has the water poured on her chest. She must be rockin a 34 C easily. Nips are about the size of a quarter. Jas and Tod give her comments and like her. Mini Meanie is the strange one, and he says "Gorilla Monsoon said it best, she don't know a wrist watch from a wrist lock." Announcers don't like Mini Meanie lol

Out next is Cyberchick. Announcer Gerry Strauss made me spit beer out of my mouth when he said "Wow, I wonder if this is the girl I talk to online all the time." Cyberchick is very fan friendly as she lets the crowd pour water on her chest, instead of the designated big dude who is the offical "water pourer". I would say she's kickin a 32B and the nips were very pointy, like a pencil eraser. JSC and Tod again like this contestant. Meanie says "I'm cu-cu for cocoa puffs." Aight then.

Out next is Brianna. Brianna is wearing a loose shirt which isn't a good wrestling pyschology if you want to win this tournament. She is easily putting down a 34 D. JSC says "Briana's boobs are real like mine" to a huge crowd approval. Brianna was rocking dime sized nips for my fellow McPerverts out there in DOI land.

Our fourth participant in this prestigious tournament is Missy Hyatt. Missy Hyatte is freakin huge. I swear she must be slamming down 38 D knockers. They are bigger than my head. The nips easily resemble a 50 cent piece. Missy is my winner in this and seems to be the announcers favorite too. It looks like Missy is going to win, until the next participant is introduced...

Out walks Nicole Bass. Holy shit on a stick, she looks exactly like a cross eyed Triple H, but with a 30 A rack and little jelly bean nipples. Man those things are bulldogs. Nicole Bass steals this segment as the crowd is going nuts. Call Nicole Bass freaky, but she had the crowd in the palm of her hand. Jas and Tod are scared of her and run from the table as Nicole slides on it. Judge Meanie declares her the winner because she is a real women. Jasmin is freaked out as she now has to spend the night with Nicole Bass.

Overall a funny segment and lots of nipples which is a good thing and a good way to set up a hot match as the next segment.

"Hot Stuff" Matt Striker/Rob Eckos d. Josh Daniels and Damian Adams
The DVD is worth the money alone just to see Striker channel the 80's wrestling "legends". Striker is definitely one of the best all around wrestlers today, as he can wrestle, talk and do any gimmick whether it be gay heel, cocky heel, super baby face, hindu, serious wrestler, or corny 80s wrestler. Some of Strikers moves in this match included: Tito Santana forearm, Polish Power, Mongolian chops, Tatanka dance and chops, and more. Eckos tells Striker to stop and says it's "2003, not 1983." This was hot match featuring 4 high class and excellent mat wrestlers. The finish sees Damian Adams hit a wicked fucking Adams Bomb in the corner. (Stiff Alabama Slam) Eckos is able to get his foot on the rope. Adams goes to the top, but Eckos is able to hit a version of the tornado DDT to pick up the win for his team.

Low Ki d. Homicide
I might've said it last match, but after seeing this, this is the reason why you buy the DVD/tape. This match is 20 minutes of pure mat wrestling with great pyschology and submissions. Every move is built up and the chain wrestling in this is a smart marks dream. One of the best matches I've ever seen, and easily a match of the year candidate. Go see this match, it's incredible. Low Ki picks up a major win with the Ki Krusher. Crowd goes nuts in appreciation. Definitely what you would call a 5 star match.

3PW World Title Match
"Pitbull" Gary Wolfe d. Raven and Xavier
This was a triple threat match. Xavier is eliminated first after suffering the burning hammer from Gary Wolfe and then followed up with the evenflow DDT by Raven. 5 minutes later, Gary Wolfe hits the DVD on Raven for the victory and to retain the 3PW title. Match was pretty good, but not able to follow that Low Ki-Homicide match.

Terry Funk d. Sabu
What a fucking brawl. Funk is a living legend for sure, and started this match with chairs and other weapons. Excellent brawling in this one. Funk gets the win after a ddt on a table.

SPECIAL DVD BONUS MATCH
Abby The Butcher and Kevin Sullivan go to no contest
I'm on the middle of the fence watching Abby wrestle, as it's great to see him still going, but his physical condition is bad, as he was moving very slow. Sullivan really made this match look good. Sullivan is one of those forgotten guys, but he has contributed alot to wrestling and looked great here. Sabu runs in during the match and attacks Abby. This leads to Syxx Pac running in and beating up Kevin Sullivan. Eventually, Sullivan and Sabu team up on Syxx-pac and leave the arena. Abby is just left there and this match is considered a no contest.

Eh, not really a good finish and maybe not the best way to close off the DVD, but then again, this was the bonus match.

Final McWord:
Buy it. Homicide vs Low Ki is amazing. The Wet T-shirt contest is hilarious. Striker in his 80's mode is great. Lots of good matches on this show. I personally think that this DVD is better than the first one, but not by much. This is a DVD I'd watch again. I am a big fan of 3PW's product as they give you everything from pure mat wrestling, to comedy, to TNA to hardcore brawls. I feel they give you everything for your money and has something for everyone. You can get it off the 3PW website at www.3pwrestling.com
I also think it's available on eBay and it's also available in stores around the country, such as fye and suncoast.

Thanks for reading this and don't try opening beer bottles with your teeth when you're drunk.
