McRoss Report

Greetings from the man underneath the 5 gallon Heineken bottle.

The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything
- Trent Reznor

What up there boys and girls and welcome to everyones favorite column on The Declaration of Independents, The McRoss Report! We got a new feature here on the DOI McRoss Report, and that’s the inclusion of song lyrics at the top, so if anyone got some funky ass shit, email it over. Now I got a lot of things to discuss such as the west nile virus and El Nino, so here we go!

Just a few plugs to get out of the way:
3PW and Jasmin St Claire and The DOI have teamed up to present the first ever DOI bus trip! Here is the complete information:

We should arrive in Philly around 4:30-5, and everyone attending will be allowed in before anyone else! The show starts at 8 and ends a little before 11, so we'll be back in NY early!

Here are some matches announced for the show: Terry Funk vs Justin Credible for the 3PW Title

There will be many superstars there and of course the DEBUT of GORGEOUS GEORGE in 3PW! What will she be doing in 3PW? Could a catfight with Jasmin St. Claire be in her future? Find out with us, and come on down!

All in all this is a great show, and for 35 bucks you can't go wrong. The venue is the Electric Factory, and the presentation feels like you're at a Raw/SD taping. You will even have the chance to be on TV!

This is The MiC again, and I hope you loyal Doi-a-maniacs can make it down, as it will be a wild time. I know that Fatty B, Triple A and Keith are already signed up among others! There are only 40 seats open, so get your spot today!

While doing plugs, I would be amiss not to mention The Masked Maniac USA Pro Hotline, which can be called at 1-516-21-8333. It’s a great listen. It’s about 20 minutes long or so, so if you eat a lot of fiber, you can listen to it on speaker phone , and get two things done at once.

Let me not also forget my good friend Matt Zombie’s hotline which can be called at 1-718-707-1122. Mr. 160 pounds of twisted steal and sex appeal always provides 4 entertaining options.

Yea the news is true, I have been named the new co-booker of Stars and Stripes Championship Wrestling, which can be seen at www.sscwwrestling.com
A lot of people don’t know this, so this is a McRoss Report exclusive. I have known Mr. Carmine Sabia for about 9-10 years now, through an old newsletter I used to write for, and various internet message boards. Carmine is one of the people, along with Bobby Riedel, who introduced me to independent wrestling and “becoming a smart.” Without Carmine, there would be no “MiC” character, and that’s the truth. He’s the one who came up with the moniker a long time ago, and as silly as it might sound for a writer to have a moniker, more people from wrestling know me as MiC then Sean. So when I heard Carmine was looking for a new booker/talent relations guy, I was hoping he’d ask me, as I always wanted to help SSCW more then a referee and on the website. I was not his first choice, and rightfully so, as the guy he could’ve got, has accomplished so much in the business, and more than I ever did (which is just writing) and has accomplished more than I can dream of. Well, things fell through with his first choice, and one thing led to another, and I got the call from CJ, and after talking for a bit, The MiC is the new co-booker/talent relations guy of SSCW.

This is a McShoot, SSCW has been shitty as of late. Three out of the last four shows have been cancelled. I am not proud of that. What I am proud of is Carmine Sabia admitting that ticket sales were low and being honest with fans, reporters and wrestlers alike. This won’t be a problem for SSCW no more. Anything I do, I do 100%, such as the DOI. I mean look, the DOI has taken off to big levels since early Feb when I got the offer to join from one of the nicest and best guys in the world, Mike Zevon. Along with Marc Adler (whom people think I hate, cause we argue all the time, but in reality is the furthest thing from the truth, as I think he is one of the coolest guys around) and Joel Grayson (who feels underappreciated, but is the best PURE writer on the DOI and smokes everyone out, and someone I consider a friend), the DOI has caught on with a lot of people. I will try my best to make SSCW to catch on, and with a lot of work, I know, along with one of the nicest and best guys in and out of wrestling, Carmine Sabia, we can make SSCW one of the top feds in NJ. As far as SSCW affecting my DOI work, it won’t, as Mike Zevon, Joel Grayson, Brian Myers or Marc Adler (yea right lol) will be doing unbiased SSCW reviews. I will give some good SSCW news as time goes on.

As far as the Carmine Sabia not leaving his house rumors and shit like that, yea it’s true, Carmine doesn’t go to his own shows. He has a phobia that is hard to understand, and to be honest, I didn’t understand it for a while either. It’s like being scared of spiders or heights, but I know he will get over it someday. To be honest, check out agrophobia on google.com and hopefully you can understand it like I did a while ago. I just wish people would spend more time going to SSCW and talking about indy wrestling then wasting their time picking on the negatives of things, and writing stupid columns, that do nothing, such as “leave your house.”

In closing on SSCW, I can tell you after a long meeting with Carmine that SSCW is in for a major roster overhaul and will be an old school company. There will be a lot of wrestling tradition rules in the rebirth of SSCW. At our next show alone, we got fantastic wrestlers such as SSCW Champion Rob Eckos, Slyk Wagner Brown, April Hunter, Dirty Money, Shawn Sheridan, Grim Reefer, Dirty Rotten Scoundrelz, Shaolin Wrecking Crew, All Money is Legal, Dan Barry, Johnny Ova, Plazma and a lot more. SSCW will be the one promotion around NJ that will focus on bringing in talents from all over the indies, that don’t necessarily get the right look or push in other places. I know this sounds like an infomercial column, but I urge everyone to check out the August 10th and September 27th shows, as I GUARANTEE these will be great independent wrestling shows.

I don’t mind getting into tussles, but I don’t like paying lawyers!

I just got back from the Masked Maniac’s BBQ and let me say I had a fun time getting drunk with everyone. The Masked Maniac is a funny guy, and when you talk to him seriously, you can learn alot about wrestling and its great history. Willy Maniac was also there and showed Dexter Weiner who's boss!

Gotta shout out Low Life Louie who is the best hardcore wrestler today. You can say anyone else is better than Louie, but I will not accept it, as Louie is disgustingly brutal in his matches and ALWAYS goes all out in providing the fan with an enjoyable performance.

Who’s mom is a wackjob? I don’t know, but someone should give Mr. Weiner a call.

Speaking of Mr. Weiner, you were right, you came up with the Kruel armgrease angle. I thought I gave you credit for it in the review. So if anyone wants to work that angle (see the JCW review for more), please credit Dexter!

Triple A will benefit in future outings by putting sunblock on his head!

Who will jump the rail at the next USA Pro show? Could it be someone that no one expects?

Don’t let Dan Barry check your meters!
Shit, lock up your wives!

JCW had a show this past Sunday, and one of the things that were discussed around the water coolers Monday Morning and on the internet was Devin Sturgis’s promo. (www.devinsturgis.com or www.untouchablekliq.com)
A lot of people didn’t feel it was worthy to talk about or cover, but I gotta say this. Devin didn’t say anything that wasn’t true, and I think this could be a big angle. Maybe I’m a mark for The Untouchable Kliq, because I think it’s a great stable and the best thing in Virgina, but I gotta say I was nodding with Devin’s promo more than disagreeing with it. But Devin, being a new booker, does that make me part of the business now? LOL. Can I comment on things?
But in seriousness, the promo seemed like it got cut off fast, and I wonder what Devin will talk about next in JCW. Wait until you see what he does in SSCW with Dirty Money on August 10th!

Enough about my only JCW friend! =) Let’s talk about message boards.
Message Boards are a good tool to get the word out on information, and promote upcoming events. I am not going to give you some long spiel and blah blah blah speech, as I think Devin and Foxxy Dreams did a great job of that already. All I gotta say is that if you fake post, you’re either doing it because:
a. You’re a coward
b. You are trying to protect a reputation.
c. You’re doing it to get under someone’s skin
d. You’re too lazy to register

There has been too much crap recently all over the boards, the DOI one included, so I hope it all ends. In the words of Martin Lawrence, “cant we all just get along?”

The Simon Diamond Uncut Interview, which is 75 minutes long, will be released on video tape JULY 18th, at ICW. It will also be on sale at various other shows, such as USA Pro, SSCW, and others. If you want one right now, shoot an email to declaration_of_independents@hotmail.com
You won’t be disappointed, this is a great interview, and an interview that has never been done before. It’s truly unique, and watch Simon Diamond make fun of my posture and give me valuable lessons in life!
Best quotes of the week:
“What you don’t know is in the other row.”
“When in doubt, look about.”
“Doc why am I peeing a green fluid? And why does it burn?”
The last quote came from PeeWee Herman!

Just some quick shows of note:
July 11- WXW Sportsfest www.wxwwrestling.com
July 12 CSWF www.cswfinfo.com and NYWC www.nywcwrestling.com
July 18 ICW www.icwzone.com
July 19 ROH www.rohwrestling.com
July 20 USA Pro FANFEST, 5 dollar special show www.usaprowrestling.com and JCW www.jcwwwrestling.com

Wow that’s 5 shows in 9 days, and I’m looking forward to it. I gotta say I really love indy wrestling, and the fact that there are 6 shows that I really want to be at, in less than a 10 day period, really makes me happy

Papajohns suck! I like Dijournos!

Will Havok ever stop talking about candy canes?

Just who is Bud Abbot?

Who will be the next person to be fired from a promotion in the indies? My sources say it will be The Motivator! LOL

There is a big angle in the works somewhere. Once I get the ok to talk about it, expect some major scoops here.

The news is true. JC The Damager is moving to Florida on August 1st. This fucking sucks, as I really liked JC, but don’t you worry, JC will be helping the DOI, as he covers the indy promotions when he can down there. The Damager has been one of the biggest helps to the DOI and has been one of the funniest, yet sickest motherfuckers online and in person. The DOI has something up their sleeves for him…(and no it’s not buttrape, Louie will be doing that!)

Yea yea yea, I’ve been informed that the esteemed Jim Brambilla has posted a nice thread about me on his message board. Why he feels the need to talk about me, is beyond me, maybe it’s some sort of a crush or infatuation, but thanks for keeping my name out there. I mean this is a guy who complains when I say Thank You for plugging a bus trip. For fuck’s sake stop stirring shit.

And yes, I do think the Wrestling Clothesline/Declaration of Independents “squabble” or “feud” is pointless and retarded but some people when they grow up, and are near middle age as they approach 40, need to talk a lot about others to either start up conversation or to feel good about themselves and to feel alive.

So to those guys over there, here’s to a fucking truce. I know you’ll be at a show I’m at, so let’s get a few beers and end this silly shit. There’s no reason not to. I tried making amends last nite, but to no avail. After talking to others about it today, it’s pointless and is just nothing more than a pissing and gossip contest.

I’m trying here, so don’t fault me for that.

I gotta thank Jasmin from 3PW for all her help with the DOI. She's been really good to us, and expect some major 3PW/DOI offers, such as the bus trip and others in the future.

The Declaration of Independents Issue 7, follows up the well acclaimed DOI 250. It will be released on July 18, and features EXCELLENT interviews with Livewyre, Deranged and more. Check the McRankings out, and a few editorials. For people who still didn’t get a DOI 250, please email me, so we can set it up.

I just want to say thank you to Doc Daniels and Eric Schaffer for all their help that they have provided the DOI with, by informing me of somethings with WXW. It’s appreciated.

Look for Major site updates throughout the week. Some things that I will be putting up are
EBW Tape reviews
Interviews with Mean Gene Snisky, Ricky Vega, Gary Wolfe and a lot of other people.
Show reviews.
And more.
I would also like to announce a partnership between the independent promotions in Georgia and the DOI. Expect the DOI to start covering indy wrestling in Georgia, as we’re expecting a lot of tapes. Keep it here for interviews with Georgia based wrestlers.

Well that’s it for me in this long ass report. I’m off to Fibber McGees to get some Irish Car Bombs. Maybe Dan Barry will be there, if he’s not checking meters!

This is The MiC-
