Hey everyone, welcome to McRankings, which is a monthly feature in the DOI newsletters. To spice up the DOI website, every week (Or as much free time as I can get) I will rank, in my opinion, the top 10 indy wrestlers that I have seen for the week. The monthly rankings will remain in the newsletter, which is available monthly. I will also rank the top 5 tag teams, top 5 women wrestlers and top 5 “Intangibles”. There will also be one “McMatch of the Weekend.” Rankings will be on what I’ve seen only, and I usually make all the top shows. NWA-TNA wrestlers will only be ranked if they wrestle in the northeast area, but I will not rank wrestlers on what they have done in NWA-TNA, but I will comment on it. This is what I look for in a ranking. The criteria is listed in order.
1- Workrate- how good was the match from a wrestling standpoint. A lot of rest holds? Non stop action? Ring psychology, footwork and selling moves will also factor into this.
2- Character/Crowd Reaction- How the wrestler did with the crowd. Was the crowd chanting boring or were they popping the whole match? Likewise, was the crowd sitting there or booing and cursing the hell out of the heels?
3- Finally win/loss records. This won’t really factor into it too much, but if 2 guys are tied, then I will give the nod to the guy with the better win/loss record.
What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McRankings. This weekend, I checked out PWU's first ever double shot, as PWU ran at Cabrini College on Friday night and at the ECW Arena on Saturday afternoon. These rankings reflect these shows, as I only rank what I see.

5. Christopher Daniels- took the pin in a triple threat title match for the PWU Heavyweight title.
4. Devon Moore- defended the PWU Jr. Heavyweight Championship twice this weekend, defeating Detox both times.
3. Balls Mahoney- put up a hell of a fight in an effort to win the PWU Heavyweight title.
2. Homicide- went 1-1 against the Backseat Boyz, defeating Kashmere on Friday night, and losing (despite not getting beat himself) a triple threat match which included Trent Acid.
1. Trent Acid- defended the PWU Heavyweight Title twice, beating Balls Mahoney, Homicide and Christopher Daniels.
TOP 5 TAG TEAM WRESTLERS
5. Double Wide- won a battle royal on Friday & defeated the Underdogs on Saturday.
4. Balls Mahoney & Johnny Candido- put on a solid showing against Berk/Pritchard.
3. Nick Berk/Tom Pritchard- defeated Balls Mahoney & Johnny Candido on Saturday.

1. The SAT's- defeated The Briscoe Brothers to win the PWU Tag Team titles.
TOP 5 WOMEN WRESTLERS
Note: On weeks where there weren’t enough women wrestlers, managers/valets will be placed in spots. Women wrestlers will always be ranked ahead of managers/valets.
5. Shannon LaVey- reffed the womens matches at PWU.
4. Francine- still has her looks and ability to connect with a crowd after all these years.
3. Luscious Lily- took the pin in two triple threat matches this weekend.
2. Amy Lee- lost 2 matches this weekend. Managed Johnny Kashmere on Saturday.
1. Sumie Sakai- defeated Lily & Amy Lee in triple threat matches twice this weekend.
TOP 5 INTANGIBLES
The intangibles will be used for the top 5 people/angles/interesting developments that occurred during the week.
5. May 20th Shaping up to be another Super Saturday- With UXW, JAPW, NMW, PWU, NWS and a slew of other companies running this date, it should be another great day for indy wrestlng.
4. The 7th Annual J-Cup- The J-Cup returns for its 7th edition this year, on 4/29. With names like Reefer, Gavin Quest, Deranged, Archadia, Sabian, Judas Young, Mike Kruel, Devon Moore, Drew Blood, Ghanda Rhea Akbar, Nicky Oceans and Corvis Fear, this is anyone's tournament and someone huge could and should break out.
3. ROH vs CZW Feud Still Going On- Who thought that it would be CZW who makes the biggest mark on ROH's milestone show? Who would've thought that it would take CZW to help ROH put asses in the seats? And who would've thought that Xias would throw water at Super Dragon?
2. TNA = WCW 2006- Luger, Bagwell and Rick Steiner do not equal PPV buys. TNA's biggest problem is that alot of people working there are the same people who were working at WCW when WCW was dying. With ECW coming back, and TNA looking like WCW, it looks like we have the "Big 3" again.
1. ECW! ECW! ECW!- Perhaps the most famous indy company ever, depending on how you look at it, returns this summer. This could shake up the indy landscape for the best or the worst.
