Hey everyone, welcome to McRankings, which is a monthly feature in the DOI newsletters. To spice up the DOI website, every week (Or as much free time as I can get) I will rank, in my opinion, the top 10 indy wrestlers that I have seen for the week. The monthly rankings will remain in the newsletter, which is available monthly. I will also rank the top 5 tag teams, top 5 women wrestlers and top 5 “Intangibles”. There will also be one “McMatch of the Weekend.” Rankings will be on what I’ve seen only, and I usually make all the top shows. NWA-TNA wrestlers will only be ranked if they wrestle in the northeast area, but I will not rank wrestlers on what they have done in NWA-TNA, but I will comment on it. This is what I look for in a ranking. The criteria is listed in order.

1- Workrate- how good was the match from a wrestling standpoint. A lot of rest holds? Non stop action? Ring psychology, footwork and selling moves will also factor into this.

2- Character/Crowd Reaction- How the wrestler did with the crowd. Was the crowd chanting boring or were they popping the whole match? Likewise, was the crowd sitting there or booing and cursing the hell out of the heels?

3- Finally win/loss records. This won’t really factor into it too much, but if 2 guys are tied, then I will give the nod to the guy with the better win/loss record.

What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McRankings. This weekend, I checked out UXW's "Pure Torture" event. Perhaps it was aptly named. These rankings reflect that show only, as I only rank what I see.

TOP 10 SINGLES WRESTLERS

10. New Jack- defeated Low Life Louie in a bloodfest.

9. Vader- pinned Danny Demanto in mere minutes.

8. Dagon Briggs- had a good showing in his UXW debut.

7. Nick Berk- lost to Reefer, in a bid to win the UXW Extreme title.

6. Vordell Walker- lost to Mike Kruel in a solid match.

5. Grim Reefer- defeated Nick Berk and Dagon Briggs to win the UXW Extreme championship.

4. Mike Kruel- defeated Vordell Walker to retain the UXW US championship.

3. Rhino- defeated Homicide with the unwanted help of Trent Acid, to win the UXW Title.

2. Trent Acid- lost to Homicide, but also cost Homicide the UXW Heavyweight title.

1. Homicide- wrestled twice, losing his title to Rhino, but retaining his manhood against Trent Acid.

TOP 5 TAG TEAM WRESTLERS

5. New Age Outlaws- were victorious in the the three way dance main event at UXW.

4. Christopher Street Connection- defeated Kamala/Akbar in a funny match.

3. AMIL- had an impressive UXW return in the three way tag team title match.

2. Outcast Killahz- took part in the three way tag team title match, but were never defeated.

1. Monsta Mack/Havok- won the UXW Tag Team titles in a good triple threat match.

TOP 5 WOMEN WRESTLERS
Note: On weeks where there weren’t enough women wrestlers, managers/valets will be placed in spots. Women wrestlers will always be ranked ahead of managers/valets.

5. Only two girls were at UXW this past Saturday,

4. So the womens rankings are kind of light this week

3. Perhaps I'll have 5 women to rank next week

2. Tara Bush- managed Nick Berk at UXW.

1. Talia- ring announced, and showed her allegiance to Mike Kruel at UXW.

TOP 5 INTANGIBLES
The intangibles will be used for the top 5 people/angles/interesting developments that occurred during the week.

5. Team Philly vs Team NY Heats Up in UXW- Broken cars, an almost lost building, and lots of problems has this feud as one of the top feuds in UXW, and in indy wrestling.

4. The Fun Athletic Guy Returns- lol and you thought he was out of business too!

3. JAPW Returns To Boston- JAPW makes their Boston Return this Saturday on 12/3!

2. Kevin Kelly Shoot Interview- Don't forget your copy today!!!!!!!!

1. Jimmy Jacobs Trashes the IWA Mid South Title- One thing is for sure, people are talking about Jimmy Jacobs again.

MATCH OF THE WEEK
Homicide vs Trent Acid
This match was just the beginning of what has become an intense NY/Philly rivalry in UXW. Both sides are looking to control UXW and prove who's more dominant in this turf war. With wins by Havok/Mack, Reefer and Homicide this past Saturday, Philly has alot of catching up to do. With quality matches like these, I don't think anyone would mind watching Philly catch up.

Well that’s it for this week. Keep it here on the DOI site for all the good shit!

Let us know on the DOI message board or send us an email and tell us what you think about the rankings!
