Hey everyone, welcome to McRankings, which is a monthly feature in the DOI newsletters. To spice up the DOI website, every week (Or as much free time as I can get) I will rank, in my opinion, the top 10 indy wrestlers that I have seen for the week. The monthly rankings will remain in the newsletter, which is available monthly. I will also rank the top 5 tag teams, top 5 women wrestlers and top 5 “Intangibles”. There will also be one “McMatch of the Weekend.” Rankings will be on what I’ve seen only, and I usually make all the top shows. NWA-TNA wrestlers will only be ranked if they wrestle in the northeast area, but I will not rank wrestlers on what they have done in NWA-TNA, but I will comment on it. This is what I look for in a ranking. The criteria is listed in order.

1- Workrate- how good was the match from a wrestling standpoint. A lot of rest holds? Non stop action? Ring psychology, footwork and selling moves will also factor into this.

2- Character/Crowd Reaction- How the wrestler did with the crowd. Was the crowd chanting boring or were they popping the whole match? Likewise, was the crowd sitting there or booing and cursing the hell out of the heels?

3- Finally win/loss records. This won’t really factor into it too much, but if 2 guys are tied, then I will give the nod to the guy with the better win/loss record.

What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McRankings. This weekend, I checked out NWA Cyberspaces's "Above The Law" event. These rankings reflect that show only, as I only rank what I see.

TOP 10 SINGLES WRESTLERS

10. Josh Daniels- retained the NWA Cyberspace Internet title in a match against Kruel and Bentley.

9. Bobby Roode- pinned Xavier.

8. Sharkboy- lost to Elix Skipper in a bid to win the Cruiser X title.

7. Xavier- lost to Bobby Roode due to Roode's nefarious actions.

6. Elix Skipper- defeated Sharkboy to retain the Cruiser X championship.

5. Rhino- defeated Abyss in a tables match and gored the hell out of Tammy Sytch.

4. Chris Harris- was laughing while waiting on line in the bank with Jarrett, while cashing his check for 5 minutes of work.

3. Jeff Jarrett- jobbed the Cyberspace title out by laying down for Harris. Laughed all the way to the bank in his 5 minute triple threat match to close out the Cyberspace show.

2. Maven- got an exoribitant amount of money for 90 seconds. At least someone's making money in indy wrestling.

1. Abyss- lost to Rhino in a tables match, but defeated Jeff Jarrett & Chris Harris to win the NWA Cyberspace Heavyweight Championship.

TOP 5 TAG TEAM WRESTLERS

5. Jeff Jarrett/Chris Harris- made big bucks for 5 minutes of work.

4. Solution 2.0- were outsmarted by AMIL in their Cyberspace tag team title match.

3. The SAT- looked solid in a loss to Red/Archadia.

2. Red/Archadia- defeated the SAT to earn a crack at the NWA Cyberspace tag team belts.

1. AMIL- retained their NWA Cyberspace tag team titles against The Solution 2.0.

TOP 5 WOMEN WRESTLERS
Note: On weeks where there weren’t enough women wrestlers, managers/valets will be placed in spots. Women wrestlers will always be ranked ahead of managers/valets.

5. Jasmin St. Claire- the commissioner of Cyberspace made her prescence known during the main event on Saturday night.

4. Talia- part of the winning womens team at NWA Cyberspace.

3. ODB- like John Shane, ODB bared some skin in her match.

2. Traci Brooks- pinned ODB in the womens tag team match at NWA Cyberspace.

1. Tammy Sytch- defeated John Shane, in a less than memorable encounter.

TOP 5 INTANGIBLES
The intangibles will be used for the top 5 people/angles/interesting developments that occurred during the week.

5. Abyss Becomes The NWA Cyberspace Champion- A very smart move by NWA Cyberspace and Abyss brings instant credibility to a promotion that needs it.

4. Fanslam Holds Another Convention- while it wasn't the best Fanslam event, it was a step in the right direction for Fanslam promoter, Tommy Fierro.

3. WWE DVDs- I recently saw the new Bret Hart DVD, and about to start the Jake the Snake DVD. Is it me, or are all these new WWE DVDs actually more entertaining than what's on the air today?

2. Thanksgiving- Football, beer and turkey. What more could you want?

1. Vince McMahon Institutes A Drug Testing Policy- If done right, is legit and not dropped after 6 months, this could change the wrestling business forever.

MATCH OF THE WEEK
John Shane vs Tammy Sytch
Since no match really stood out as being great at Cyberspace, sometimes you have to look to see what stood out the most. This match would be perfect for an Indy Wrestling "Wrestlecrap" DVD. While the match wasn't good, you can see both participants were working hard, and sacrificed alot, such as their dignity. John Shane was stripped to his skivvies, while Tammy wound up getting gored for being victorious. It was a bout that you'll never forget but want to forget.

Well that’s it for this week. Keep it here on the DOI site for all the good shit!

Let us know on the DOI message board or send us an email and tell us what you think about the rankings!
