Hey everyone, welcome to McRankings, which is a monthly feature in the DOI newsletters. To spice up the DOI website, every week (Or as much free time as I can get) I will rank, in my opinion, the top 10 indy wrestlers that I have seen for the week. The monthly rankings will remain in the newsletter, which is available monthly. I will also rank the top 5 tag teams, top 5 women wrestlers and top 5 “Intangibles”. There will also be one “McMatch of the Weekend.” Rankings will be on what I’ve seen only, and I usually make all the top shows. NWA-TNA wrestlers will only be ranked if they wrestle in the northeast area, but I will not rank wrestlers on what they have done in NWA-TNA, but I will comment on it. This is what I look for in a ranking. The criteria is listed in order.

1- Workrate- how good was the match from a wrestling standpoint. A lot of rest holds? Non stop action? Ring psychology, footwork and selling moves will also factor into this.

2- Character/Crowd Reaction- How the wrestler did with the crowd. Was the crowd chanting boring or were they popping the whole match? Likewise, was the crowd sitting there or booing and cursing the hell out of the heels?

3- Finally win/loss records. This won’t really factor into it too much, but if 2 guys are tied, then I will give the nod to the guy with the better win/loss record.

What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McRankings. This weekend I checked out JAPW's World-Wide tapings and PWU's latest offering. These rankings reflect those shows only, as I only rank what I see.

TOP 10 SINGLES WRESTLERS

10. Azraiel- picked up a victory in JAPW, before losing in a number 1 contender match for the JAPW LHW title.

9. Archadia- won a big contender's match at JAPW, and was part of a four-way in PWU.

8. Danny Demanto- went 1-1 at the JAPW World-Wide tapings.

7. Jay Lethal- defended the JAPW Heavyweight title at the World Wide tapings this past Friday.

6. EC Negro- went 3-0 this weekend picking up victories in JAPW and PWU.

5. Kudo- defeated three other cruiserweights at PWU in an elimination match.

4. Dixie- lost to his real life brother, Insane Dragon, at PWU.

3. Insane Dragon- defeated Dixie at PWU.

2. Trent Acid- lost to Homicide in a bid to win the PWU Heavyweight title.

1. Homicide- defeated Trent Acid at PWU, and cut hilarious promos at JAPW.

TOP 5 TAG TEAM WRESTLERS

5. Myers/Matthews- picked up two big wins at the JAPW World Wide tapings.

4. Scott Cardinal/Jerk Jackson- defended their PWU Tag Team Championships twice, going 1-1. However their one loss came on a count out decision, meaning they remain PWU Tag Team Champions.

3. The OutCast Killahz- defeated The New Jersey All Stars and Cardinal/Jackson at PWU.

2. Sandman/Corporal Robinson- were involved in one of the best PWU matches in PWU history.

1. Bison Bravado/Johnny Kashmere- "The Backseat Bisons" were successful in winning a wild brawl at PWU.

TOP 5 WOMEN WRESTLERS
Note: On weeks where there weren’t enough women wrestlers, managers/valets will be placed in spots. Women wrestlers (who wrestle) will always be ranked ahead of managers/valets.

5. Chrissy Rivera- managed Danny Demanto at JAPW.

4. The Diamond Vixxen- managed a manager at PWU.

3. Luscious Lily- ring announced at PWU.

2. Mercedes Martinez- lost to Sumie Sakai in a really good womens match.

1. Sumie Sakai- became the number 1 contender to the PWU Women's title by defeating Mercedes Martinez.

TOP 5 INTANGIBLES
The intangibles will be used for the top 5 people/angles/interesting developments that occurred during the week.

5. Keenan Quinn's WWE Try-Outs- No one in indy wrestling thought Keenan would ever be backstage at WWE, nevermind in the ring. However, Keenan has proved his doubters wrong, although he's not wrestling, he's reffing. However WWE ref money is better than indy wrestlers money.

4. PWU Draws The Largest House in PWU History- PWU is on the up and up right now, and are consisently having strong matches. If you haven't check out PWU yet, you're missing out.

3. World-1 Returns This Weekend- World-1 Returns after a year and a half abscence, as they return to Philly. Check out World1Wrestling.com for more info.

2. Drama in IWA-MS- Dave Prazak leaving IWA-MS is a big story as he has been there for a long time and has helped it over the past few years. However, time heals all wounds, so I wouldn't rule out him ever returning.

1. The PSAC/CZW Situation- CZW was able to hold a successful Tournament of Death in Delaware after not filling out the paperwork that was requested to hold the show in Philly. Some are hating the PSAC, while the PSAC are claiming that CZW didn't do what was required. Either way, the story has sparked much debate.

MATCH OF THE WEEK
PWU
Kashmere/Bravado vs Sandman/Corporal Robinson
This was a great brawl that brought credibility back to wrestling. These four kicked the shit out of each other and put on an enjoyable fight that had everyone on their feet the entire time. There wasn't 8348 flips in this match or headlocks for 20 minutes. This was 20 minutes of pure fighting making wrestling real and believable again.

Well that’s it for this week. Keep it here on the DOI site for all the good shit!

Let us know on the DOI message board or send us an email and tell us what you think about the rankings!
