Hey everyone, welcome to McRankings, which is a monthly feature in the DOI newsletters. To spice up the DOI website, every week (Or as much free time as I can get) I will rank, in my opinion, the top 10 indy wrestlers that I have seen for the week. The monthly rankings will remain in the newsletter, which is available monthly. I will also rank the top 5 tag teams, top 5 women wrestlers and top 5 “Intangibles”. There will also be one “McMatch of the Weekend.” Rankings will be on what I’ve seen only, and I usually make all the top shows. NWA-TNA wrestlers will only be ranked if they wrestle in the northeast area, but I will not rank wrestlers on what they have done in NWA-TNA, but I will comment on it. This is what I look for in a ranking. The criteria is listed in order.

1- Workrate- how good was the match from a wrestling standpoint. A lot of rest holds? Non stop action? Ring psychology, footwork and selling moves will also factor into this.

2- Character/Crowd Reaction- How the wrestler did with the crowd. Was the crowd chanting boring or were they popping the whole match? Likewise, was the crowd sitting there or booing and cursing the hell out of the heels?

3- Finally win/loss records. This won’t really factor into it too much, but if 2 guys are tied, then I will give the nod to the guy with the better win/loss record.

What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McRankings. This weekend I checked out Sonny Siaki Championship Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Unplugged. These rankings reflect those shows only, as I only rank what I see.

TOP 10 SINGLES WRESTLERS

10. Elix Skipper- lost to Trent Acid in the opening round of the PWU Title Tournament.

9. Sonny Siaki- had a strong match, despite losing, against Homicide.

8. Tom Carter- went 1-1 against Nick Berk this weekend.

7. Mana "The Polynesian Warrior"- defeated Abyss in PWU, but lost to Homicide in the PWU Title tourny.

6. Jay Lethal- lost to Sonjay Dutt at Sonny's show.

5. Sonjay Dutt- defeated Jay Lethal at Sonny's show.

4. Nick Berk- wrestled Tom Carter in two nights, splitting the series, in addition to losing to Trent Acid at PWU.

3. Corporal Robinson- pretty much used Brandon Prophet to show what a public ass kicking looks like.

2. Trent Acid- defeated Elix Skipper & Nick Berk before losing to Homicide in the finals of the PWU Heavyweight title tournament.

1. Homicide- defeated three men (Siaki/Mana/Acid) to become the first ever PWU Heavyweight Champion.

TOP 5 TAG TEAM WRESTLERS

5. Scott Cardinal/Jerk Jackson- won the vacated PWU Tag Team Titles by beating Cheech/Cloudy.

4. D-Sex- had a comedic but strong showing against the SAT this weekend.

3. The SAT- defeated the returning D-Sex (Acid/Reil) at the Sonny show.

2. Homicide/Sonny Siaki- lost to Red/AJ on Friday night.

1. AJ Styles/Amazing Red- teamed up for the first time since their ROH Tag Team title loss to defeat Homicide/Sonny Siaki at Sonny Siaki Championship Wrestling.

TOP 5 WOMEN WRESTLERS
Note: On weeks where there weren’t enough women wrestlers, managers/valets will be placed in spots. Women wrestlers (who wrestle) will always be ranked ahead of managers/valets.

5. Johny Diamond's PWU Students- did a, um job, of standing there silently during a promo at PWU.

4. Diamond Vixxxen- it's amazing that her breasts haven't suffocated due to the tight shirts she wears.

3. Luscious Lily- held down the ring announcing at PWU.

2. Talia- lost to Lacey in one of the better matches of her career.

1. Lacey- defeated Talia in a strong womens match at Sonny Siaki Championship Wrestling.

TOP 5 INTANGIBLES
The intangibles will be used for the top 5 people/angles/interesting developments that occurred during the week.

5. A Weekend Off- With only the AWA running next weekend (July 1st), it will be nice to have a wrestling-free weekend for some fans. Time to catch up on all those DVD's!

4. Major Story To Break Monday (Possibly early Tuesday)- I'm still working on all the facts and getting quotes, but something that will affect wrestling fans will be announced here on the DOI.

3. PWU uses ROH's Old Ring- What's the connection there?

2. Low attendances around the indies- now that we are officially in summer, expect crowd sizes to drop 25-40%. It is very tough to draw in the summer without doing a sold show or having a dedicated and loyal fan base.

1. Homicide win the PWU Heavyweight Title- Can Homicide save Philly wrestling? Axl Rotten and Corporal Robinson seem to think so.

MATCH OF THE WEEK
PWU
PWU Heavyweight Title Match Homicide vs Trent Acid
This was really a make or break match for PWU and for the PWU Heavyweight title. If the match sucked or flopped, then the PWU title wouldn't mean a dime. However, this match was a great outing for both wrestlers, as they turned it up and beat the crap out of each other for 20 minutes plus. Both these guys made the PWU Title worth fighting for. The postmatch angle set up afterwards leaves you wanting more and wondering who will be Homicide's first challenger.

Well that’s it for this week. Keep it here on the DOI site for all the good shit!

Let us know on the DOI message board or send us an email and tell us what you think about the rankings!
