Hey everyone, welcome to McRankings, which is a monthly feature in the DOI newsletters. To spice up the DOI website, every week (Or as much free time as I can get) I will rank, in my opinion, the top 10 indy wrestlers that I have seen for the week. The monthly rankings will remain in the newsletter, which is available monthly. I will also rank the top 5 tag teams, top 5 women wrestlers and top 5 “Intangibles”. There will also be one “McMatch of the Weekend.” Rankings will be on what I’ve seen only, and I usually make all the top shows. NWA-TNA wrestlers will only be ranked if they wrestle in the northeast area, but I will not rank wrestlers on what they have done in NWA-TNA, but I will comment on it. This is what I look for in a ranking. The criteria is listed in order.

1- Workrate- how good was the match from a wrestling standpoint. A lot of rest holds? Non stop action? Ring psychology, footwork and selling moves will also factor into this.

2- Character/Crowd Reaction- How the wrestler did with the crowd. Was the crowd chanting boring or were they popping the whole match? Likewise, was the crowd sitting there or booing and cursing the hell out of the heels?

3- Finally win/loss records. This won’t really factor into it too much, but if 2 guys are tied, then I will give the nod to the guy with the better win/loss record.

What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McRankings. This weekend I checked out 4 shows- Hardcore Homecoming, ROH, CCW and One Night Stand. Check out the ECW themed rankings, elsewhere on the DOI site. These rankings here, only reflect ROH and CCW.

TOP 10 SINGLES WRESTLERS

10. Colt Cabana- defeated Jimmy Rave at ROH.

9. Jack Evans- stole the show with his performance at ROH. He might be this generation's Sabu.

8. Roderick Strong- lost a good fought match, to CM Punk.

7. Samoa Joe- defeated Nigel McGuiness to retain the ROH Pure Title.

6. CM Punk- defeated Roderick Strong in a classic ROH Punk match.

5. Azraiel- won a crazy 6 way match at ROH.

4. Austin Aries- lost to Low Ki, at ROH.

3. Jamie Noble- lost to Homicide at ROH.

2. Low Ki- defeated ROH World Champion, Austin Aries, in a non-title match.

1. Homicide- defeated Jamie Noble/James Gibson, in a strong match, at ROH.

TOP 5 TAG TEAM WRESTLERS

5. The Outcast Killahz- lost, but never were pinned, in a four corner match at CCW.

4. Ring Crew Express- lost a massacre against the Carnage Crew.

3. The Logan Brothers- won the CCW Tag Team Championships in a four corner match.

2. Tony Devito/Homicide- had no problems tearing Jose Perez/Ron Zombie up at CCW.

1. The Carnage Crew- destroyed and raped the Ring Crew Express in their bloody brawl at ROH.

TOP 5 WOMEN WRESTLERS
Note: On weeks where there weren’t enough women wrestlers, managers/valets will be placed in spots. Women wrestlers will always be ranked ahead of managers/valets.

5. Jade Chung- was part of a very funny segment at ROH, where she danced with Colt Cabana.

4. Della Morte- took the pin, in her match, at CCW.

3. Cindy Rogers- was part of the losing tag team, at CCW.

2. April Hunter- teamed with Ariel, to win a tag match, at CCW.

1. Ariel- led her team to victory at CCW, by pinning Della Morte.

TOP 5 INTANGIBLES
The intangibles will be used for the top 5 people/angles/interesting developments that occurred during the week.

5. Forever Hardcore and Sabu: Suicidal Insights DVDs released- Don't miss these two hot DVD's. Both are must haves for any ECW fan.

4. JAPW to hold World Wide Tapings this Friday Night- Don't miss one of the oldest of the old school programs today. Many new wrestlers are making their debuts and many undercard JAPW wrestlers will kick, scratch and claw to make their way to the main Rahway shows.

3. CM Punk finished with ROH?- It could be that way be the time Independence Day rolls around.

2. Samoa Joe to make TNA Debut- Will it be one match and out, or will Joe take TNA over lucrative WWE offers, that are surely coming his way?

1. EC F'N W Returns- Like anything else would be ranked above this.

MATCH OF THE WEEK
Homicide vs Jamie Noble/James Gibson
This was a great back and forth match, that took place for the first time in ROH. Both guys looked really good, but it was Homicide, in the end, who got the win in front of his home town. Making this match even better was J-Train, who is making a run at being the top manager of 2005, although Prince Nana might think differently.

Well that’s it for this week. Keep it here on the DOI site for all the good shit!

Let us know on the DOI message board or send us an email and tell us what you think about the rankings!
