Hey everyone, welcome to McRankings, which is a monthly feature in the DOI newsletters. To spice up the DOI website, every week (Or as much free time as I can get) I will rank, in my opinion, the top 10 indy wrestlers that I have seen for the week. The monthly rankings will remain in the newsletter, which is available monthly. I will also rank the top 5 tag teams, top 5 women wrestlers and top 5 “Intangibles”. There will also be one “McMatch of the Weekend.” Rankings will be on what I’ve seen only, and I usually make all the top shows. NWA-TNA wrestlers will only be ranked if they wrestle in the northeast area, but I will not rank wrestlers on what they have done in NWA-TNA, but I will comment on it. This is what I look for in a ranking. The criteria is listed in order.

1- Workrate- how good was the match from a wrestling standpoint. A lot of rest holds? Non stop action? Ring psychology, footwork and selling moves will also factor into this.

2- Character/Crowd Reaction- How the wrestler did with the crowd. Was the crowd chanting boring or were they popping the whole match? Likewise, was the crowd sitting there or booing and cursing the hell out of the heels?

3- Finally win/loss records. This won’t really factor into it too much, but if 2 guys are tied, then I will give the nod to the guy with the better win/loss record.

What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McRankings. This weekend I only checked out JAPW. These rankings reflect that show only.

TOP 10 SINGLES WRESTLERS

10. Sharkboy- lost to Beef Wellington at JAPW.

9. Deranged- defeated Lit, and also took part in a tag match at JAPW.

8. Beef Wellington- defeated Sharkboy in an entertaining match.

7. Excess- defended the EWR title successfully at JAPW.

6. Steve Corino- lost to Jay Lethal in a bid to win the JAPW title.

5. Jay Lethal- defeated Steve Corino to retain the JAPW title.

4. The Sandman- had a fun match with Trent Acid.

3. Trent Acid- defeated The Sandman in a wild brawl.

2. Azraiel- had a great match with B-Boy at JAPW.

1. B-Boy- defeated Azraiel to win the JAPW Light Heavyweight title.

TOP 5 TAG TEAM WRESTLERS

5. Monsta Mack/Mark Clemson- Hey I'm trying to fill spots here, and they held done the commentary all night at JAPW.

4. Archadia/Neeno Capone- lost to The H-Effect in a handicapped match.

3. The H-Effect- defeated Neeno/Archadia to prove their power in JAPW.

2. AMIL- looked good in their return to JAPW.

1. OutCast Killahz- defeated AMIL at JAPW.

TOP 5 WOMEN WRESTLERS
Note: On weeks where there weren’t enough women wrestlers, managers/valets will be placed in spots. Women wrestlers will always be ranked ahead of managers/valets.

5. Alicia- wasn't at the JAPW show, but has made such a presence that fans were asking about her whereabouts on the JAPW board.

4. Lethal's Mom- slapped Steve Corino in the face and left a handprint.

3. Anna Social- managed Trent Acid at JAPW.

2. Shane Hardcore- gave The Sandman a stunner.

1. Talia- made a big splash at JAPW this Saturday, and her ass was quite the magnet for Sharkboy and Beef Wellington.

TOP 5 INTANGIBLES
The intangibles will be used for the top 5 people/angles/interesting developments that occurred during the week.

5. Jay Lethal's Father to Make Wrestling Debut- At JAPW last Saturday night, JAPW set up Lethal/Lethal's father vs Landell/Corino. Does this downplay Jay Lethal's Heavyweight title reign, is one question being asked. On the other hand, Lethal's father has somehow become one of the biggest faces in JAPW, so it makes sense for JAPW to capitalize on it.

4. RF Video Releases New Sabu DVD- In this DVD, Sabu talks about what was going through his head during some of his classic matches. I'll have a review of this DVD shortly, but all I can say is that it one of the best DVD's I've seen in a while.

3. B-Boy wins the JAPW Light Heavyweight Championship- The man from San Diego is steadily climbing up the ladder as one of the top wrestlers in the north east.

2. Tons of Shows on 6/11- To split up the ECW shows, this Saturday features many shows taking place. You have your choice of CSWF, NWS, CCW, IWA, CZW, and more. Either way, there will be alot of wrestling this weekend.

1. ECW! ECW! ECW!- The spirit of ECW returns this weekend with two big shows. Hardcore Homecoming is considered the more pure of the two, while the WWE is most likely going to turn the show into some sort of angle. It should be interesting to see how the ECW name lives after 4 years in the ground.

MATCH OF THE WEEK
For the JAPW Light Heavyweight Title
B-Boy vs Azraiel
This was a great match to add to the prestige of the JAPW Light Heavyweight title. The JAPW Light Heavyweight title might be the top belt in the company, as it certainly is the most stable and has some of the best matches in the company fought over it. These two went all out in this match in the blazing heat and tore it up. Jay Lethal, Azraiel now B-Boy has held this belt in the last 2 years. Not a bad list of champions, as this belt means more than most promotions heavyweight titles.

Well that’s it for this week. Keep it here on the DOI site for all the good shit!

Let us know on the DOI message board or send us an email and tell us what you think about the rankings!
