Hey everyone, welcome to McRankings, which is a monthly feature in the DOI newsletters. To spice up the DOI website, every week (Or as much free time as I can get) I will rank, in my opinion, the top 10 indy wrestlers that I have seen for the week. The monthly rankings will remain in the newsletter, which is available monthly. I will also rank the top 5 tag teams, top 5 women wrestlers and top 5 “Intangibles”. There will also be one “McMatch of the Weekend.” Rankings will be on what I’ve seen only, and I usually make all the top shows. NWA-TNA wrestlers will only be ranked if they wrestle in the northeast area, but I will not rank wrestlers on what they have done in NWA-TNA, but I will comment on it. This is what I look for in a ranking. The criteria is listed in order.

1- Workrate- how good was the match from a wrestling standpoint. A lot of rest holds? Non stop action? Ring psychology, footwork and selling moves will also factor into this.

2- Character/Crowd Reaction- How the wrestler did with the crowd. Was the crowd chanting boring or were they popping the whole match? Likewise, was the crowd sitting there or booing and cursing the hell out of the heels?

3- Finally win/loss records. This won’t really factor into it too much, but if 2 guys are tied, then I will give the nod to the guy with the better win/loss record.

What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McRankings. This weekend I checked out AWA and IEW. These rankings reflect those shows only.

TOP 10 SINGLES WRESTLERS

10. Eric Cooper- looked good in losses to CJ O'Doyle and Jay Lethal this weekend.

9. Envy- won a big 5 way at IEW and had a good match at AWA.

8. Pinkie Sanchez- had a great match with Jay Lethal at IEW.

7. Simon Diamond- defeated Rob Vegas at AWA.

6. Kevin Matthews- put his body on the line in a loss to Demanto.

5. Monsta Mack- lost to Manslaughter at AWA, but won the IEW Championship on Saturday.

4. Archadia- won a wild three way at AWA and looked good in a 5 way match at IEW.

3. Bison Bravado- defeated Cheech and Papadon this weekend.

2. Danny Demanto- defeated Kevin Matthews and CJ O'Doyle this weekend at the AWA arena.

1. Jay Lethal- defeated Eric Cooper, Keenan Quinn and Pinkie Sanchez this week, pretty much owning the AWA arena.

TOP 5 TAG TEAM WRESTLERS

5. Elm Street Kids- lost two matches this weekend at the AWA arena.

4. OutCast Killahz- won a big match with AMIL at AWA.

3. Notorious Inc- won at IEW, and lost in AWA.

2. Pinkie Sanchez/Mike Donovan- lost a streetfight on Friday at AWA.

1. Neeno Capone/Deranged- won a streetfight at AWA.

TOP 5 WOMEN WRESTLERS
Note: On weeks where there weren’t enough women wrestlers, managers/valets will be placed in spots. Women wrestlers will always be ranked ahead of managers/valets.

5. Penny Dreadful- managed at IEW.

4. Tara Charisma- managed Notorious Inc to victory at IEW.

3. Talia- lost to Alicia at AWA.

2. Luscious Lily- won the AWA Womens Title this past Friday Night.

1. Alicia- defeated Talia at IEW, but lost to Lily at AWA.

TOP 5 INTANGIBLES
The intangibles will be used for the top 5 people/angles/interesting developments that occurred during the week.

5. Dan "Spider" Quirk Passes Away- Spider's death just goes to show you how fast life can change and how dangerous and REAL wrestling really is.

4. JAPW Returns This Saturday Night- what does new JAPW Champion, Jay Lethal, have in store for himself?

3. Rockin Rebel wins the WXW World Heavyweight Championship- It looks like his feud with Bison Bravado and WXW, has just begun.

2. Monsta Mack wins the IEW Heavyweight Championship- a singles title was a long thing coming for Mack, and his promo after the match made you appreciate it even more, as a fan.

1. The PWU Controversy- The fall-out of all this should be very interesting to follow. It should be exciting to follow PWU and 3PW in the upcoming months as well.

MATCH OF THE WEEK
Danny Demanto vs Kevin Matthews
Although this match wasn't the best in their series, it still was an in your face match with both guys going all out. Both guys did whatever they could to put the other out. Kevin's promo after the match made you think even more. I wouldn't mind seeing these guys tango one more time either.

Well that’s it for this week. Keep it here on the DOI site for all the good shit!

Let us know on the DOI message board or send us an email and tell us what you think about the rankings!
