Hey everyone, welcome to McRankings, which is a monthly feature in the DOI newsletters. To spice up the DOI website, every week (Or as much free time as I can get) I will rank, in my opinion, the top 10 indy wrestlers that I have seen for the week. The monthly rankings will remain in the newsletter, which is available monthly. I will also rank the top 5 tag teams, top 5 women wrestlers and top 5 “Intangibles”. There will also be one “McMatch of the Weekend.” Rankings will be on what I’ve seen only, and I usually make all the top shows. NWA-TNA wrestlers will only be ranked if they wrestle in the northeast area, but I will not rank wrestlers on what they have done in NWA-TNA, but I will comment on it. This is what I look for in a ranking. The criteria is listed in order.

1- Workrate- how good was the match from a wrestling standpoint. A lot of rest holds? Non stop action? Ring psychology, footwork and selling moves will also factor into this.

2- Character/Crowd Reaction- How the wrestler did with the crowd. Was the crowd chanting boring or were they popping the whole match? Likewise, was the crowd sitting there or booing and cursing the hell out of the heels?

3- Finally win/loss records. This won’t really factor into it too much, but if 2 guys are tied, then I will give the nod to the guy with the better win/loss record.

What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McRankings. This weekend I only checked out PWU. These rankings reflect that show only.

TOP 10 SINGLES WRESTLERS

10. Eric Cooper- the superwigga held his own against Demanto at PWU.

9. Din Mak- defeated Matt Bomboy, 2 falls to 1, at PWU.

8. Matt Bomboy- showed lots of potential in his match with Din Mak at PWU.

7. Rockin Rebel- was involved in one of the double main events at PWU, and was screwed by heel referee, Matt Bennett.

6. Greg Spitz- needed lots of help against CJ O'Doyle at PWU.

5. CJ O'Doyle- battled four men at PWU.

4. Chris Wylde- looked solid against his less than stellar opponent, Rob Hemlock.

3. Danny Demanto- defeated Eric Cooper and Chris Idol at PWU.

2. Mana The Polynesian Warrior- defeated Ashe Samuels and Archadia single handedly at PWU.

1. Bison Bravado- The WXW World Heavyweight Champion picked up a huge pinfall in the first half of PWU's double main event, to earn a spot in PWU's Heavyweight Title tournament. Also showed lots of charisma during the WXW invasion angle.

TOP 5 TAG TEAM WRESTLERS

5. The Superfriends- were hysterical in their victory at PWU.

4. Teddy Fine/Mike Brown- wrestled two matches at PWU, on Saturday night.

3. Blue Meanie/Angus The Caveman- got a great crowd reaction and looked solid in their victory on Saturday night.

2. Backseat Men- didn't miss a beat in their return match against Notorious Inc.

1. Notorious Inc- held their own against The Backseat Boyz, in the ropes are legal match at PWU.

TOP 5 WOMEN WRESTLERS
Note: On weeks where there weren’t enough women wrestlers, managers/valets will be placed in spots. Women wrestlers will always be ranked ahead of managers/valets.

No girls wrestled this week, so these rankings are just for shits and giggles and even more shits.

5. Lacey- got beat up by a chinese reporter on the WB 11 on Friday morning.

4. The girls of WEW- didn't see the show, but I heard it was all over the place like usual.

3. Luscious Lily- was defeated by Atlantic City, losing 600 bucks in the process.

2. Alicia- only dropped $130 bucks at Atlantic City.

1. Alere Little Feather- was the only wrestler not to lose money in Atlantic City this weekend.

TOP 5 INTANGIBLES
The intangibles will be used for the top 5 people/angles/interesting developments that occurred during the week.

5. Samoa Joe wins the ROH Pure Heavyweight Championship- Can Joe take the Pure title to the next level just like how he took the World title to new levels?

4. CZW Presents Best of the Best this Saturday- This is one of CZW's premier tournaments. Can they deliver this year, with all the new format changes?

3. Deranged The Rapper?- Find out more soon...you won't want to miss this one.

2. The Backseat Boyz/Men Return to Pro Wrestling- With the tag team indy division sorely lacking right now, The Backseat Men could definitely revive the division with a breath of fresh air.

1. ROH Has A Successful Turnout in NYC- ROH, making their NYC debut, had a huge and successful outing this past Saturday night, having one of the best shows in ROH history.

MATCH OF THE WEEK
Backseat Men vs Notorious Inc
This match was the return match for the Backseat Men. To make things even bigger, this match also featured the debut of the "Ropes Are Legal" style of PWU wrestling. This match was spot happy and had the crowd going nuts the whole time. It also put over Notorious Inc as a true and solid tag team.

Well that’s it for this week. Keep it here on the DOI site for all the good shit!

Let us know on the DOI message board or send us an email and tell us what you think about the rankings!
