Hey everyone, welcome to McRankings, which is a monthly feature in the DOI newsletters. To spice up the DOI website, every week (Or as much free time as I can get) I will rank, in my opinion, the top 10 indy wrestlers that I have seen for the week. The monthly rankings will remain in the newsletter, which is available monthly. I will also rank the top 5 tag teams, top 5 women wrestlers and top 5 “Intangibles”. There will also be one “McMatch of the Weekend.” Rankings will be on what I’ve seen only, and I usually make all the top shows. NWA-TNA wrestlers will only be ranked if they wrestle in the northeast area, but I will not rank wrestlers on what they have done in NWA-TNA, but I will comment on it. This is what I look for in a ranking. The criteria is listed in order.

1- Workrate- how good was the match from a wrestling standpoint. A lot of rest holds? Non stop action? Ring psychology, footwork and selling moves will also factor into this.

2- Character/Crowd Reaction- How the wrestler did with the crowd. Was the crowd chanting boring or were they popping the whole match? Likewise, was the crowd sitting there or booing and cursing the hell out of the heels?

3- Finally win/loss records. This won’t really factor into it too much, but if 2 guys are tied, then I will give the nod to the guy with the better win/loss record.

What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McRankings. This weekend I checked out JAPW's Internet Tapings as well as IEW's debut show. Who would make the cut this week? Find out below.

TOP 10 SINGLES WRESTLERS

10. Deranged- lost to EC Negro in an entertaining bout.

9. The Dynamic Sensation- picked up a huge win at IEW, defeating 4 other wrestlers.

8. Grim Reefer- won a few matches at JAPW, and looked good in a three way match at IEW.

7. Danny Demanto- Danny "The Promoter" Demanto actually had a great match with Kevin Matthews at IEW.

6. Neeno Capone- had some big wins in JAPW, before losing in a 5-Way match at IEW.

5. Mana The Polynesian Warrior- dominated everyone in his path at JAPW during several internet taping matches.

4. Kevin Matthews- picked up a few victories at JAPW, then went on to have a great match with Danny Demanto at IEW.

3. Dan Maff- defeated EC Negro, Keenan Quinn and introducted Rick Silver to his fold in JAPW.

2. Jay Lethal- picked up a few wins at the JAPW TV Tapings.

1. EC Negro- defeated Dixie at JAPW, as well as lost to Dan Maff at JAPW. Went on to beat Deranged at IEW.

TOP 5 TAG TEAM WRESTLERS

5. The OutCast Killahz- picked up several impressive victories at the JAPW TV Tapings.

4. Corvis Fear/Rush- took the beating of a wrestling lifetime from the hands of Mafia and Monsta Mack.

3. ESK- took a beating and gave a beating at IEW in their match with Louie/Yamz.

2. Low Life Louie/Danny Yamz- Spilled their blood from their faces and asses at IEW in a brutal match.

1. Da Hit Squad- Showed they can take over tag team wrestling anytime they want to at IEW.

TOP 5 WOMEN WRESTLERS
Note: On weeks where there weren’t enough women wrestlers, managers/valets will be placed in spots. Women wrestlers will always be ranked ahead of managers/valets.

5. Liz- did a fantastic job of taking tickets at IEW.

4. Talia- was looking smoking at IEW.

3. Alere Little Feather- lost to Alicia at JAPW.

2. Tara Charisma- wrestled competitively against Alicia at IEW.

1. Alicia- defeated Alere Little Feather at JAPW and Tara Charisma at IEW.

TOP 5 INTANGIBLES
The intangibles will be used for the top 5 people/angles/interesting developments that occurred during the week.

5. 3PW Returns This Saturday Night- After rumors of their death to the events at their January show, 3PW does business as normal this Saturday night.

4. Wrestlers Allowed To Work for both NYWC/UXW on 2/26- Even though it only affects 8-10 wrestlers, it's good to see that the wrestlers are allowed to make as much money as possible on the 26th.

3. JAPW's Debut Internet Tapings a Success- The JAPW tapings definitely had an old school feel to them and it should be interesting to see how it does once they are aired on the internet.

2. Danny Demanto Has A Great Debut Show- Who would've ever thought that Danny Demanto would outdraw a Gabe Sapolsky booked show on the same day?

1. Da Hit Squad Return- One of the biggest things to happen in indy wrestling this year, as one of the best indy tag teams of all time showed they can still do it at any time.

MATCH OF THE WEEK
IEW

Da Hit Squad/Pinkie Sanchez vs Corvis Fear/Rush Margera/Jay Lethal
This was a great main event that shocked the fans. This match simply delivered perfectly and there was something special watching it happen live. It also showed that DHS are still the best tag team on the indies and can just destroy the tag team scene at a moments notice.

Well that’s it for this week. Keep it here on the DOI site for all the good shit!

Let us know on the DOI message board or send us an email and tell us what you think about the rankings!
