Hey everyone, welcome to McRankings, which is a monthly feature in the DOI newsletters. To spice up the DOI website, every week (Or as much free time as I can get) I will rank, in my opinion, the top 10 indy wrestlers that I have seen for the week. The monthly rankings will remain in the newsletter, which is available monthly. I will also rank the top 5 tag teams, top 5 women wrestlers and top 5 “Intangibles”. There will also be one “McMatch of the Weekend.” Rankings will be on what I’ve seen only, and I usually make all the top shows. NWA-TNA wrestlers will only be ranked if they wrestle in the northeast area, but I will not rank wrestlers on what they have done in NWA-TNA, but I will comment on it. This is what I look for in a ranking. The criteria is listed in order.
1- Workrate- how good was the match from a wrestling standpoint. A lot of rest holds? Non stop action? Ring psychology, footwork and selling moves will also factor into this.
2- Character/Crowd Reaction- How the wrestler did with the crowd. Was the crowd chanting boring or were they popping the whole match? Likewise, was the crowd sitting there or booing and cursing the hell out of the heels?
3- Finally win/loss records. This won’t really factor into it too much, but if 2 guys are tied, then I will give the nod to the guy with the better win/loss record.
What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McRankings. This weekend I checked out only the AWA, as everything else was cancelled on Saturday and Sunday. These rankings reflect the AWA 1/21 show, which you can find two reviews of on the DOI main page.

TOP 5 TAG TEAM WRESTLERS
5. The Dirty Rotten Scoundrelz- finally return to the rankings after a long layoff as KC Blade made his return to the AWA this past Friday Night.
4. Elm Street Kids- wrestled valiantly in a loss, despite having Rayza injured.
3. New Reality- won the AWA Tag Team Titles from an injured ESK.
2. The OutCast Killahz- went down to AMIL at AWA.
1. All Money Is Legal- picked up a big win against OCK & Poppalishus in a 6 man tag team match.
TOP 5 WOMEN WRESTLERS
Note: On weeks where there weren’t enough women wrestlers, managers/valets will be placed in spots. Women wrestlers will always be ranked ahead of managers/valets.
5. Chris Idol/PVO- I only saw two women this week so I'm grasping for straws here. This angle made both guys look very feminine, and I need to fill space, hence this ranking.
4. Liz- taking tickets, one at a time, at an indy show near you.
3. Layla Herrera/Alere Little Feather/Luscious Lily- maybe forgotten by the AWA bookers, they weren't forgotten in the crowd this past Friday night.
2. Krystal Synn- wrestled impressively for someone in her first match against Alicia.
1. Alicia- defeated Krystal Synn to retain her AWA Womens Championship.
TOP 5 INTANGIBLES
The intangibles will be used for the top 5 people/angles/interesting developments that occurred during the week.
5. PW Elite Debuts this Friday- Will this be the next big indy or just another 3 shows and out promotion? Sadly, I think the latter, though for the sake of wrestling, I hope the former.
4. Blizzard '05 Wipes Out Indy Shows Across The Northeast- We know what The Masked Maniac thinks about this... to hear what he thinks yourself call 516 214 8333.
3. Carmine Sabia and SSCW Get Suspended from the NWS Family- Did anyone NOT see this coming?
2. KC Blade Returns- KC Blade returned to the ring this past Friday night at AWA. Could JAPW be next?
1. JAPW Returns This SATURDAY Night- JAPW kicks off 2005 with one of their more differently hyped shows, as all the titles are on the line but the challengers won't be announced until the day of the show. Alot of great indy wrestlers are booked. For more, go to http://www.japw.net
