Hey everyone, welcome to McRankings, which is a monthly feature in the DOI newsletters. To spice up the DOI website, every week (Or as much free time as I can get) I will rank, in my opinion, the top 10 indy wrestlers that I have seen for the week. The monthly rankings will remain in the newsletter, which is available monthly. I will also rank the top 5 tag teams, top 5 women wrestlers and top 5 “Intangibles”. There will also be one “McMatch of the Weekend.” Rankings will be on what I’ve seen only, and I usually make all the top shows. NWA-TNA wrestlers will only be ranked if they wrestle in the northeast area, but I will not rank wrestlers on what they have done in NWA-TNA, but I will comment on it. This is what I look for in a ranking. The criteria is listed in order.
1- Workrate- how good was the match from a wrestling standpoint. A lot of rest holds? Non stop action? Ring psychology, footwork and selling moves will also factor into this.
2- Character/Crowd Reaction- How the wrestler did with the crowd. Was the crowd chanting boring or were they popping the whole match? Likewise, was the crowd sitting there or booing and cursing the hell out of the heels?
3- Finally win/loss records. This won’t really factor into it too much, but if 2 guys are tied, then I will give the nod to the guy with the better win/loss record.
What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McRankings. This weekend I checked out FUSION as well as AWA. Fusion presented their debut show on Friday and AWA had one of their biggest shows of the year on Saturday. With that said here are the rankings this week:
TOP 10 SINGLES WRESTLERS
10. Chris Hamrick- took a humongous beating from New Jack at FUSION.
9. Ryan Drago- had an impressive Rexplex debut against Jay Lethal.

7. Deranged- wrestled to a draw with Azraiel and showed off his right jab at AWA.
6. Frankie Kazarian- lost to Justin Credible at Fusion.
5. X-Pac- defeated Sonjay Dutt, Justin Idol and Brian XL in a four way elimination match at FUSION.
4. Eric Cooper- had the match of his life against Chris Candido in AWA.
3. Justin Credible- defeated Frankie Kazarian in Fusion, and lost to Jay Lethal in AWA.

TOP 5 TAG TEAM WRESTLERS

3. The Solution- defeated Silas Young and Dave Hansen at Fusion.
2. Red/Ultimo Dragon- had a good match in defeat, at FUSION versus the SAT.
1. The SAT (Maximo Brothers)- defeated Ultimo Dragon and The Amazing Red at Fusion.
TOP 5 WOMEN WRESTLERS
Note: On weeks where there weren’t enough women wrestlers, managers/valets will be placed in spots. Women wrestlers will always be ranked ahead of managers/valets.
5. Layla Herrera- was a company woman showing support at AWA.
4. Dana Dameson- got the shit kicked out of her by Fat Frank's Six Year Old son at AWA.
3. Liz- manned the door hard at AWA and almost had to throw out a 4'10" criminal.
2. Cherri Delicious-managed Danny Demanto against the vicious Jackal.
1. Alicia- joined up with the NBC at AWA and made her prescence felt.
TOP 5 INTANGIBLES
The intangibles will be used for the top 5 people/angles/interesting developments that occurred during the week.
5. Chris Candido and Justin Credible Wrestle for the AWA- This is just the beginning of the AWA's rise as one of the best things out there today. I predict that around this time next year, AWA is going to need a new building to hold all the fans that they draw.
4. NJ X-Mas Week Shows- If you got some spare time during the holidays, AWA runs 12/23, NMW runs 12/26, NWS runs 12/28 and ECPW runs 12/29.
3. ROH returns 12/26- ROH returns 12/26 with "Final Battle III". There are alot of main event caliber matches on this show, and should be a big show to close off the ROH year.
2. Scott Hall at Fusion- a memory I will never forget. Watching Hall punk out the GLF was simply hilarious.
1. Holiday Time of Year- Enjoy the holidays and eat, DRINK, and be merry.
