J-Cup First Round Matches

Jay Lethal vs. Rob Eckos
This is a tough one. Either man can go over. I will take Rob Eckos though, to set up a face/heel match in the next round.
Prediction: Rob Eckos

Dixie vs. Jimmy Jacobs
I’ll take Jimmy Jacobs to go over Dixie, since Jimmy Jacobs needs the win more to impress the north east crowd.
Prediction: Jimmy Jacobs CM Punk vs. Sonjay Dutt
Hmmm another tough one, like every match on this card. Shit this is gonna be a great show. I’ll take Sonjay Dutt, because the JCW Hindu crowd will be behind him all the way.
Prediction: Sonjay Dutt

Shawn Sheridan vs. Deranged
I’ll take Shawn Sheridan, just for the fact that he’s a JCW regular, and would benefit with the win more. Jesus Christ this is gonna be a good show, just the first predictions alone, and I’m pumped.
Prediction: Shawn Sheridan

Homicide vs. Grim Reefer
Maybe the easiest match to predict. I’ll take Homicide just for the fact that he’s Reefer’s trainer. I will also predict that this will be the best opening round match of the show, and that’s saying a lot, because all 16 men are extremely fucking talented.
Prediction: Homicide

Alex Shelley vs. Ruckus
Wow this one can go either way. I’ll take Alex Shelley, for the same reason as why I took Jimmy Jacobs in his match- he needs to be highlighted in front of the JCW crowd.
Prediction: Alex Shelley

Johnny Ova vs. Dave Greco
This should be a good one. Greco is working hurt. Seriously, mad props to Greco, this guy loves wrestling and loves the sport. Don’t count Ova out, and I will take Ova to win, due to Greco’s injury.
Prediction: Johnny Ova

Dan Barry vs. Slyk Wagner Brown
I am looking forward to this match. Dan Barry is rapidly moving to the top, and had a great match with Xavier. I think this will be on that caliber. Slyk is maybe one of the top 10 indy wrestlers around the world today. I’ll take Slyk to win. I hope to see an Irish Car Bomb!
Prediction: Slyk Wagner Brown

NON Tournament 6 Man Tag Team Match: Ace Darling and the D. O. D. vs. Stryker and ???

Who will Strikers tag partners be? To further the angle, we could see Los Boriquas take this spot. To shock the crowd and make Mike Z happy, we could see the DRS lol. To make me happy we could see the Solution lol. To make the Wizard happy we could see 2 japanese dudes. To make Marc Adler happy we could see Wade Boggs and Dave Righetti. I think DRS would be a good surprise, because they never lost the JCW Tag Belts in the ring, and since they are a face in a lot of other places, they could come in here as a face and go for the tag belts that they never lost, similar to HBK/Razor IC Title program a few years back. Will the DRS show up? I have no fucking clue. I will take Boriquas as the sure bet, but I got no clue. As far as the match, I’ll take Striker and his partners to set up a feud for the JCW World and Tag titles at a future show.
Prediction: Striker and ???

J-CUP 2nd Round Matches

Rob Eckos v. Jimmy Jacobs
I’ll take Rob Eckos as he’s the main JCW guy, and will make JCW look good. He’s also the SSCW World Champ, so that means a lot to the millions of SSCW fans lol. Should be a good match.
Prediction: Rob Eckos

Sonjay Dutt v. Shawn Sheridan
This like every other match, can go either way. I’ll take Sheridan to go over, as he’s a big player in JCW, and like Eckos, will make JCW look strong by going far in this tourney.
Prediction: Shawn Sheridan

Homicide v. Alex Shelley
I’ll take Homicide, as I think he’s the heavy favorite to win this thing, because of his talent and skill. Expect everyone to give this match a big pop because the wrestling will be solid.
Prediction: Homicide

Johnny Ova v. Slyk Wagner Brown
I think Slyk steam rolls to the third round after a highly competitive match with Ova. Should be a good one.
Prediction: Slyk Wagner Brown

J-CUP 3rd Round Matches

Rob Eckos v. Shawn Sheridan
I’ll take Rob Eckos to go over in this one, as both are JCW regulars, but Eckos is more established as he works in more places as well as JCW. There is no denying either guys talent, but I see Mr. Eckos going to the finals.
Prediction: Rob Eckos

Slyk Wagner Brown v. Homicide
I think Homicide is the favorite to win this, at least by the DOI, but I think Slyk will pull it out and win this match. Slyk is another guy who will be in JCW for a bit, and will really benefit by going all the way.
Prediction: Slyk Wagner Brown

JCUP 4th Round FINALS!!!

Slyk Wagner Brown v. Rob Eckos
Maybe not the first 2 names you would pick to win this thing, but this is how it wound up in my predictions. I’ll take Slyk to win this fantastic match-up and represent JCW as the new JCUP Winner.

Well there you have it, I am taking Slyk Wagner Brown to take it all. Will it happen? I don’t fucking know, go to the show! This show is friggen stacked, and could be the best indy show of the year, including the Super 8. The potential is definitely there. I am eagerly anticipating this show, and hope to see everyone there.
