What's up everyone, and welcome to another preview column on the DOI site. This weekend has the potential to be the biggest weekend in northeast indy wrestling. You have the biggest promotion in NY and the biggest promotion in NJ running back-to-back shows with stacked line-ups. There will be lots of great matches this weekend and it is definitely a good time to be a fan of wrestling.

Let's take a look at the show line-ups first.

This is a stacked line-up. The one thing with USA Pro shows is that you know it's going to be changed by the day of the show. Either way, the main matches will take place, and you know you will get your monies worth. USA PW has made alot of cuts, in an attempt to shorten the length of the show. My biggest gripe with USA Pro Wrestling is lack of storylines, and I'd like to see more than just a really good marathon show take place. The Heavyweight title, which has been held by many big names, seems to float from show-to-show with no angles around it. I'd like to see that change. There are alot of potential 5 star matches on this show, with Low Ki vs Al Snow, Homicide vs D-Lo Brown, and Chris Candido vs Mike Kruel. This is easily one of the better USA Pro line-ups in some time, and definitely will be a huge show. There are other matches scheduled to take place, such as Low Life Louie making an open hardcore challenge to anyone. There will also be the standard ticket seller clusterfuck, which has sickenly become a staple in USA PW.
With USA Pro not running as frequently as they used to, due to lack of buildings in Queens, NY, you don't want to miss this extravaganza.

This show looks fucking amazing. JAPW graduated from the Charity Hall, and is now the king fish of not only NJ, but of most of the indy scene. JAPW has been doing alot of big things, and doing alot of these big things first. Mick Foley in this area? JAPW did it first. Homicide vs Teddy Hart? JAPW did it first. Booking the IWS Canada guys? JAPW did it first. Vader and Mike Awesome? Ditto.
Expect a big surprise on this show, just so JAPW can say they did it first, and did it well, based on JAPW's track record.

This is another show that has potential 5 star matches on it. The great thing about JAPW is their booking, as their storylines make sense and are well executed. With big name talent and great booking, this has the potential to be the show of the year. While some promotions push technical wrestling all the time, and other feds push hardcore wrestling, JAPW has found a perfect blend of each, and it is a blend that any wrestling fan can enjoy.

Final McWord
You don't want to miss any of these shows. If you're Jewish, take your yamulke off for the weekend, and celebrate the new year in Queens and in Rahway. While USA Pro did cut alot of good talent, the show still has potential to be amazing. JAPW hasn't had a bad show in some time, and is hyping this up as one of the best shows of the year. You can always wait for these tapes to come out, but there is nothing like being their live and in person.

The three top matches I'm looking forward to this weekend are:
Low Ki vs Al Snow (USA PW)
Homicide vs Teddy Hart (JAPW)
Jay Lethal vs Azraiel in a ladder match (JAPW)

So don't delay, get your money ready today and don't miss these huge shows. This might seem like shilling, but if these two promotions are taking a risk by booking these big shows, which I know will be good, then shill I will. There is alot of fucking crap and shit shows on the indies, I know that. Don't let those shows deter you from going to the good ones.
If these shows aren't good, I'll promise a refund. All you have to do is email TheMotivator@declarationofindependents.net to get it! He loves getting annonymous emails!
This just in: Motivator won't really refund any tickets and the above was just a joke, for all you gullible people out there.

Overall
Go, go, go to these shows. Show your support for indy wrestling, and your support for the best of NY and for the best of NJ today. These shows are what indy wrestling is all about, and you don't want to miss out.
