McPinions
By: Sean “The MiC” McCaffrey

Well well well, and welcome to another McPinions, here on the DOI site. This time I am going to preview and do some predictions for CSWF, as they return this Saturday night with a pretty stacked card. I did stop doing prediction columns for a while, because I was blowing up promotions finishes, so I'll just go by what I'd like to see in my predictions. So let's take a look at CSWF's 8/28 "Cybercade" show.

First things first, don't forget that CSWF is offering a free Question and Answer session with Diamond Dallas Page before the show. Ringside ticket holders will be let into the arena earlier in the afternoon to take part in this rare opportunity and have their chance to get autographs before the start of the event.

MAIN EVENT:
DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE vs. CHRIS KANYON
It is rumored that this will be Kanyon's retirment. While retirement is a word that is thrown around very loosely in wrestling, I do think it might be one of the last times to watch Kanyon wrestle live in this area. As far as this match, I see both guys putting on a more sports-entertainment type match rather than a wrestling clinic match. Hopefully, I'm wrong. Anyway, this feud has been built up pretty nicely, considering DDP has never been at a CSWF show yet, as CSWF has used the internet, a TV promo and other tools to promote the match. They were very innovative at their last show with a DDP promo playing during Kanyon's match. This match is a no brainer for me, at least. I'll take DDP to hit the Diamond Cutter and leave Wayne, NJ 5000 dollars or so richer.

MAIN EVENT #2:
TEAM TNA vs. TEAM CSWF in a WAR GAMES RULES CAGE MATCH!
From the CSWF website:
CSWF commissioner Larry Zbyszko has summoned a battle to establish federation dominance! Team TNA leader Mike Tenay sends former CSWF Heavyweight Champion Ron "The Truth" Killings, Julio Dinero and new CSWF tag team champions America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris & James Storm) into battle against the CyberSpace Soldiers! Newly crowned CSWF Heavyweight Champion Slyk Wagner Brown has enlisted the services of Danny Doring, Sinister X and Chris Hamrick!

I'll take team CSWF to win this match, and end this TNA/CSWF feud that in my opinion, was never done right. I'll take Slyk Wagner Brown to pick up the victory for his team, as he is the champion and all.

CRUISER-X TITLE LUMBERJACK MATCH:
(Champion) MICHAEL SHANE vs. (Challenger) GRIM REEFER
This match is being built up as a feud, even though I think it was built up better in CSWF managments minds more than it was on actual shows. This was originally supposed to be a ladder match, but Shane declined to do a ladder match due to a nagging injury. Reefer has been hot as of late, and has picked up numerous victories all over the place. Look for that trend to continue here, and for Reefer to add another title to his waist in his comeback to the indies.

FEMME FATAL FOUR WAY FOR THE WOMEN'S TITLE
TRINITY vs. APRIL HUNTER vs. TRACI BROOKS vs. ARIEL
Trinity has been champion forever, and has rarely defended the title compared to other CSWF champions. With Slyk as CSWF champion, it might make sense to give to April Hunter here. I don't see Trinity retaining at all. Traci Brooks I could see as champion as well. The darkhorse in all of this is Ariel, and she's my pick to win it, as I can see all three girls duking it out, and Ariel scrapping up the remains for the victory.

SIX MAN ELIMINATION MATCH:
"M-Tizzle" Mike Tobin and The Solution w/John Shane vs. Josh Daniels, Danny Jaxx & Ken Scampi w/Tara Charisma
This is like a thrown together 80's style Wrestlemania match. It was built up somewhat, but not enough for anyone to really care about. it's funny how far the Solution has fallen in CSWF after beating AMW cleanly a few shows ago. I don't really see a reason why a team that has never teamed up before would win this match, so I'll pick Team Shane to get the win.

Sonjay Dutt vs. Dan Barry
This has potential to be match of the night. This should be a very good match, that pits the two former CSWF Tag Team Champions against each other. Sonjay is the heavy favorite here, but I'll take Dan Barry to sneak in an upset here.

Matt Striker vs. Rob Eckos
It looks like the Youngbludz are going head to head after losing the CSWF Tag Team Titles to AMW. This is another feud in CSWF that is good in theory, but hasn't been built up strong enough on the live shows. 2004 has been Striker's year, and I'll take him to pick up the win here.

Mike "The Shooter" Kruel vs. Nick Berk
This is a match that will blend two different styles in one ring. Both men have alot of talent, and this could be a sleeper match of the show. I'm going to take the former #1 WWE Title contender, Mike Kruel, win this contest.

Mana vs. Mega
Two big men collide in this match for the hell of it. This could be what you call a slobber knocker. I'll take Mana to win here, after an impressive Tiger Driver.

Overall- This should be a quality indy show featuring alot of top name talent. CSWF should be able to deliver a good one here. One thing that people should remember about CSWF is that they've always delivered what they've advertised and have never cancelled a show, like other NJ promotions. CSWF is a safe show in that aspect. CSWF is promoting this show as their "WrestleMania" so CSWF should pull all the stops here to create fan loyalty.

The DOI will be in attendance and will have a live show report on Sunday afternoon.

That's it for this column. Stay tuned to the DOI for more updates.
