McPinions
By: Sean “The MiC” McCaffrey
What up all you DOI-ites and welcome to another McPinions. This time I will be running down the upcoming SSCW show, which is on May 15 in the Italian-Dario is a dickhead Charity Hall. This seems to be one of SSCW's biggest line-ups in some time, and on paper, looks better than any show that SSCW did when I was there. I guess Carmine isn't afraid to spend some money now! Well pull up a seat as I predict/preview Carmine Championship Wrestling.
I'm going to predict this by how I think the show will be booked, in match order.
1. Jay Busta VS Erik Andretti
THe SSCW site must be renaming alot of people here tonight, as J-Busta is spelt as Jay Busta.
I haven't really been impressed with much of Erik's stuff. I am however, impressed with Busta's
work. I think Busta wins this fast opener, and positions himself as a top cruiserweight contender.
2. Poppalishus VS Johnny Heartbreaker
Poppalishus. What? Carmine must've really loved those pictures. Heartbreaker seems as generic
as they come to me. He looks like a built Rob Feinstein. No wonder Carmine has this match.
You got a RF look like vs a guy who has naked pictures of himself on the internet. Is this
SSCW's way of ribbing us all? I'll take Poppalishus to win this match. Maybe Matt Da Angry
Young Man will make an appearance?
3. Nick Burke VS Terry Peirce
SSCW renames someone else, as Nick Berk is spelt as Nick Burke. SSCW are true innovators, and
to think I thought Ricky O's spelling mistakes were bad. Terry Peirce I'm not too familiar
with, but if I know SSCW, I think Terry is bringing some friends to watch him tonight, if you
know what I'm sayin'. I'll take Nick Berk to win this one.
4. New Reality (Corvis Fear & Rush) VS Projekt 13 (Damien Dragon & Jai Kronic w/ Foxxy Dreams)
This may be the best undercard match on the show. Both teams have alot to gain and not much
to lose in SSCW. I'll take Projekt 13 to debut successfully and win this contest.
5. SSCW Cruiserweight Title Match
Dan Barry VS Ken Scampi VS Mike Tobin
I don't know how Mike Tobin is considered a cruiserweight. This match might steal the show, as
all wrestlers are familiar with each other. Dan Barry is nearing a one year reign with the
SSCW Cruiserweight belt. I don't see him losing it in some type of gimmick match here. Look
for Barry to Irish Car bomb someone for the pin.
6. Six – Woman Tag
Alicia, Miss Kara Slice & Bobcat w/ Lucious Lilly VS Tara Charisma, Eclipse & Alere Little Feather.
I'll take the heel side to win this match. SSCW has decided to spell Luscious Lily as Lucious Lilly. That
wacky Carmine. I'm guessing Ariel will be at ROH, as she's usually Alicia's partner in crime.
Eclipse is the weak link and most inexperienced wrestler in this match. I think that is who
will wind up taking the pin.
7.Lumberjack Gauntlet
Fainter, Poco Romeo, Chris Sandel, Vincent Valentine & PlaZma
This is your ticket seller and Plazma match. I'll take Plazma to win as he has the most talent
and should be rewarded for that.
8. Sonjay Dutt VS Grim Reefer
This could be match of the night. These guys have had great matches in USA PW and CZW. I hope
the crowd appreciates these two. I'll take the homegrown Reefer to win this match, and bring
the head to head series at 2-1.
9. SSCW Tag Team Championship Match
DRS VS Extreme Horsemen (Justin Credible & Simon Diamond) VS Solution w/ John Shane
Solution put their belts up at the last minute on this show. It's odd to have two triple
threat matches at one show. Like Dan Barry, I don't see The Solution losing their belts in
a gimmick match. I'll take The Solution to win this one, but not before the DRS establishing
themselves as the number 1 conteders.
10. SSCW Tradition Cup Championship Match
Al Snow VS (c) Tyler Payne
This is probably the biggest name guy Tyler has ever wrestled. This can be a 35 minute classic.
SSCW has a shoddy history when it comes to booking the Tradition Cup, and I'm talking about
Tyler vs Jay Lethal specifically. Hopefully this match does Tyler justice. As a main event,
I don't really see Tyler walking out with it, unless Al comes back for the next SSCW show,
as rumored. I'll take Tyler to win by some cheese finish, setting up another rematch for the
next show. The TC has just been established and I think it's too early to flip flop it around.
Final McWord
This has the potential of being the best SSCW show of all time. Carmine Sabia is a bit wacky
but don't let that discourage you from checking out a solid indy show. If ROH and 3PW are
too far off of a drive for you, keep it home in the NY/NJ area and check out Carmine Championship
Wrestling. With Simon Diamond ready to head up his second show, and with Carmine finding some
bling bling, things can only go up for SSCW.

Now where will I be on Super Saturday when ROH, 3PW, SSCW, NECW, ECPW, XYZ all run? I'm gonna go back to my roots and check out SSCW. Honestly, I was set for the ROH/World 1 doubleheader but driving 5 hours for one show seems a bit too insane, even for me. Plus coming off what seems to be a huge USA PW show the night before, it will be nice to get some rest before checking out another show.
See you there!
