McPinions
By: Sean “The MiC” McCaffrey

What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to McInsomnia, as it's 4 AM as I'm typing. In reality, I'm having alot of urination runs due to alot of Guiness and Whiskey tonight so I figure why not bang out another McPinions?

Today I will be discussing JCW's second show of 2004 in their Rebirth era. First off, here is all the information on how to be there and check this show out live:
Garfield Boys and Girls Club
450 Midland Avenue in Garfield, NJ!
Sunday, March 28 at 3:30 PM

With that out of the way, here are my predictions/thoughts of these matches. After that I'll dabble in some J-Cup talk.

Prince Nana vs. The Honky Tonk Man
Prince Nana looks like he is getting a huge push in JCW. Nana, who got the short end of the stick in the main event where he teamed with Kamala, gets in the ring with the longest reigning WWF Intercontinental Champion of all time. I think it's time that Nana shows that he (Afri) can hold his own with some of the bigger names. I'll take Nana to win this match upsetting alot of fans.

For the JCW TV Title
(c)"The Raging Beast" Bryan Wenzel vs. "No Gimmicks Needed" Chris Candido
Wenzel just won the title at the last show, lastly eliminating Inferno in a battle royal to claim the gold. I don't see him losing in his first match as champion. Chris Candido is thought by many to be the best wrestler that never was. I think this will be a great match that will elevate the JCW TV title. I'll take Mr. Wenzel to keep on representing as champion.

For the JCW Tag Team Titles
(c) Ace Darling & Matt Striker vs. Rob Eckos & Josh Daniels
This is an interesting match on many levels. You got Ace/Striker who are former ECWA tag champions as well as the current JCW champions. Striker also holds tag gold with Simon Diamond in USA Pro. Striker also holds PWF tag gold with his opponent in this match, Josh Daniels. This also seems to be the battle of the heels as both teams are heels, with Josh Daniels being the tweener in all of this. The bottom line is that this will be a good tag match. I see the champions retaining here...

For the JCW Cruiserwight Title
(c)"Showtime" Shawn Sheridan vs. Dave Greco
How the hell is Dave Greco a cruiserweight? His ears weigh 200 pounds alone. Maybe if they cut off his ears, Greco will meet the cruiserweight weight limit. Aha, just playing Greco. This should be an interesting match, as these guys have teamed up in alot of places, but recently had a falling out as Greco led an attack on Sheridan. I think this feud continues, as Greco gets the win somehow.

Fred Sampson vs. Damian Adams
I'm really looking forward to this match, as the SSCW Champion goes up against someone who I consider to be a big piece in the future of wrestling, Fred Sampson. Damian Adams got punked out last show by Kevin Matthews. Will Kevin play a role here? I say Fred Sampson wins this good match.

Teddy Hart vs. Danny Doring
Interesting opponent for Teddy Hart. Doring doesn't wrestle Teddy's style and Teddy doesn't wrestle Dorings style. This will be the match to watch. I'll take Teddy Hart to win this styles clashing match.

For the SSCW TV Title
Winner has to forfeit the belt
(c) Kevin Matthews vs Danny Demanto
This stemmed from the last show where Kevin Matthews urinated on the SSCW Title and berated SSCW promoter, Carmine Sabia. This match also took place in SSCW, where both guys were subsequently fired. These guys usually have shitty matches against each other, but if it's anything like their last match together, then this match could turn some heads. I'll take Danny Demanto to be the last reigning SSCW TV champion.

Plus more TBA

This should be a decent show and it should be interesting to see how JCW draws after a massively successful show in March.

J-CUP news:
The J-Cup returns on June 27th. There is a going to be a bus trip for all NY fans. The meeting spot will be at Madison Square Garden. Anyone looking to go should email Ricky O at mrjcw@optonline.net
The price is 40 dollars and rumored to be on the bus is Teddy Hart. The trip is in its primitive stages. More information will be announced soon.

Remember the first four wrestlers announced for the J-CUP are:
Teddy Hart
Ted Wilson
Jack Evans
Harry Smith

As far as the other 12 spots, no one has been announced. Since this is an opinion column, here is who I'd like to see in it:
Note: I'm picking guys who aren't JCW regulars
Sonjay Dutt
Deranged
Dan Barry
Grim Reefer
Roderick Strong
Former J-Cup Winner Low Ki
Former J-Cup Winner Reckless Youth
Mark Briscoe
Jay Briscoe
The Amazing Red
Ken Scampi
J-Busta

Any of these guys I think could represent the Cup well. It should be interesting to see who JCW brings in for this prestigious tournament.
Here is all the info on the J-Cup that has been announced:
The J-Cup will return for its 5th installment on June 27th at the JCW Arena in Garfield, NJ.

The J-Cup is one of the premier indy events and has been a booster in the careers of Judas Young, Low Ki, Reckless Youth and Jay Lethal.

As you can see the J-Cup will have a heavy Canadian influence as the New Hart Foundation and Stampede Bulldogs take part in it.

Front Row Tickets = $20.00
GA= #15.00
TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW
Email Ricky O at MRJCW@optonline.net
You can also visit the JCW message board located on their main page to inquire about tickets.

The J-Cup should be a very good event.

Just some quick JCW news:
- JCW Champion Slyk Wagner Brown and JCW Womens Champion April Hunter will not be at the March 28th show, as they will be in England. They will of course be back on future shows.

- It looks like Damian Dragon and Foxxy Dreams might have some time off due to the stipulation of their loser-leaves-JCW match last month against Shawn Sheridan. Since Sheridan is the champion, he still will be in JCW defending his title.

-Also appearing at the March 28th show will be Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and Iron Shiek. Come meet these former World Heavyweight Champions live and up close.

That's it for tonight. Keep checking the DOI Site for more updates.
