In a new segment for the DOI, we will be presenting food/resturant reviews. Why? Simple, indy wrestling is all about travelling, and while travelling you eat in different places. The DOI is all about giving different angles from all aspects of wrestling, so we hope you enjoy these. After J-Silvas review, Jasmin St Claire sends her review in for a resturant in NYC. Check it out, and let us know what you think about this feature on the message board.

Being a native New York Italian, I have eaten at many great italian restaurants all over Manhattan,Brooklyn & Queens. My favorite Italian eatery of all time is Vincent's Restaurant. It is located on the corners of Mulberry & Hester Streets in Manhattan. They have indoor & outdoor seating. When it is warm,I prefer outdoor seating as I am a huge people watcher.

The manager,Johnny, is a big wrestling fan. He is by far the friendliest host I have ever met. When you walk up a few steps, the walls are covered with framed photos of many athletes, models, moviestars & wrestling personalities(my photo is up there).

I am not much of a beer drinker, unless I am at Oktoberfest in Germany. So, I always have the merlot & a few shots of Raspberry Vodka. Everything is priced moderately here.

I usually start with the calamari, which is amazing. They also make an awesome house salad.

Vincent's is famous for it's sauce. They have sweet, medium & hot. So,whatever pasta dish you order, you can also pick the sauce. The best sauce is the sweet sauce. No matter what you eat there, the sauce is what makes Vincent's different than any other place. They also sell jars of the sauce at the front counter.

I once tried the hot sauce & ended up with tears rolling down my cheeks. The medium sauce was ok. The sweet sauce is the winner!!

The last time I ate there, I had the linguini & grilled chicken with sweet sauce. I was about to try another restaurant, but the sauce is what has always kept me loyal to Vincent's.

I usually have a latte,or cappuccino afterwards. they make great cappuccinos. Once in a while I have the tiramisu-which is also highly recommended. So,when next you feel like having a delicious & filling italian meal(the portions are a good size),make sure to to go to Vincent's & say hi to Johnny
