Crazy F'n Daisy reviews Johnny Rockets!

What's up guys. It's Crazy F'N Daisy, and me being the food lover that I am, I'd thought I would send a little review your way. Recently, my Central Jersey self found time to stop by the Freehold Raceway mall for a lil bit of last minute holiday shopping. To my delight, the mall was a hellhole of a packed place, and walking around and up and down with not much luck was very tiring. I decided to grab a bite to eat before I left, and my options were few, and all I have to say is EFF the food court, it looks like a zoo. It came down to Ruby Tuesday, which was unbelievably packed, Friendly's, which was really far and on the lower level...and I'm lazy, or Johnny Rocket's. I had been there once before about 5 years ago, so i was like, eh, why not?!

This is why the EFF not: The 50's themed diner is a cool concept, however the menu is not. It is a one sided thing, with pretty much burgers, a garden salad and Milk Shakes.I'm not too sure, but I think they had other food in the 50's. The burgers, while affordable, bring us to point number 2: they aren’t that good. ME on my south beach diet way of life got the Double Rocket Burger with no bun and a garden salad. This burger has two patties, two slices of cheese, lettuce tomato, onion and "special sauce", aka thousand island dressing, apparently when I said no bun, that meant no special sauce. The waiter did not ask how I wanted it cooked, which is lame if they don’t do meat temps. Which brings us to another point, point number three: I wasn't waiting to get sat for very long, maybe two minutes, but other people that i noticed were waiting for about 5 minutes. I myself work as a waitress and hostess in a restaurant and if I made someone wait to sit in 5 minutes, if they were still waiting and hadn’t left, my ass would be fired. They make you wait to be seated, they have one of those signs that say so, and you are waiting forever. Also, point 3 and a half, the waiter took forever to get to the table. As a general serving rule, a guest should not be seated longer than two minutes without talking to a server. Drinks took about 6 minutes to get there, and all I got was a coke, which brings us to our last point of the day: the burgers were only like 4 bucks a pop, came out on little plates and wax paper wrapping, and the fries were extra, and they come out first. I don't know about you, but I like a burger AND fries...even though I got a salad. My friend did get the fries, and the fries and salad came out first. Lame. speaking of which, that reminds me: I got salad dressing before my soda.

Enough bashing. What I remember of the shakes, they were good when I had one 5 years ago, and they give you the shake in the glass, plus whatever was left in the mixer.

So, that's my review, I know food, and these people do not. In conclusion: I waited to be seated, get my order taken, and for my drink. The burger lacked the special sauce, was kinda dry, and my side came out first. Dressing before soda, ridiculous.

If I worked there, I would hurt myself. They suck at this game, and that is all.
