Well. last night I made the drive to Yonkers for PWS. How I miss Kaz driving that road...yech..Anyways..found the PAL, which was a cool building in a rather shitty town of Yonkers..

Show started 30 min late at 8pm..

We heard rumors that Sabu was hurt, and sadly, that turned out to be true, but more on that...

Refs: Rich Bass and Matt Bennett
RA: Chris Norman
Att: 350-400 (LEGIT)

Opening match saw Tommy Swayne I think it was, w some minor Mic issues, take on the Good guy Azreal. Match was ok, nothing special. but saw Swayne win w a roll up w his feet on the ropes..

Another sorta Preliminary type match saw Adam Flash Meet Paul E Normous w a couple of bimbo girls and I think Rocksha?? Flash looked decent at times, and Enormous of course, is a power guy mainly. Enormous got the win. Again. warmup matches, were ok.

Now, RA Norman informed us that the next three tag matches would determine who would advance to the HW title match. The winning tag team in each match would then wrestle each other in singles matches. First out, we had Ruckus and Trent Acid take on Teddy Hart and Jack Evans. Really good match, tho Ruckus didnt seem to do a lot. Acid took a lot of abuse, from Both Evans and Hart, and got in plenty of offense. Acid looked VERY good in this matchup. Towards the end, Ruckus tagged in, and after a couple half hearted elbows on Evans and Teddy, he turned on Acid. Teddy got close to pinnin Trent several times, finally hit a double knee backbreaker for the win. Post match, Teddy cut a face promo, saying the fans were smiling, and he loved to see that, and they would put on a hell of a show. He also put over Acid, for working his ass off, and taking a lot of the offense in the match. Acid got a lot of applause, and deservedly.

M Dogg 20 Matt Cross and his partner, Devon Moore took on Danny Demanto and ????. Danny then said, that his partner happened to be the wildcard mystery partner. Turns out Sonjay Dutt was the mystery man. My first time seeing Cross, and he was impressive. All four men looked good in this match, in the end tho, Cross and Moore set up both men for double frog splashes and a double pin for the win. Solid match.

the last of the qualifying tag matches pitted Tommy Swayne again, and Kevin Matthews, who had cut a nasty anti Yonkers promo..vs Kenny Omega and Jerry Lynn. Omega impressed me for my first time, and Jerry played some early comedy w Matthews, until things got going. It went back and forth, but Omega took Mathews to the floor and brawled. In the ring, Jerry hit the cradle piledriver on Swayne for the win..

So, the next round would be Lynn vs Omega, Moore vs Cross, and Teddy vs Evans..

Intermission. autos at tables w Sandman, Lynn, Dutt. Ruckus. Demanto, Matthews. Teddy Hart and Angelina Love..

First match after the intermission saw the two LOVELY ladies battle, as TNA Knockout Angelina Love took on Alexa Thatcher. My first time seeing that cutie pie..hehe. and Angelina is simply beautiful. The match was good too, and in a somewhat surprising finish, Thatcher upset the TNA Knockout w an Inziguiri type kick.

Up next, Jack Evans battled Teddy Hart for a spot in the HW finals. Im gonna tell you, this match was simply AMAZING..These guys pulled out all the stops, w moves that had to be seen to believed, both in the ring, and with the hi spots. Lots of near falls, including a couple w Jacks feet on the ropes saved him. Toward the end, in a second floor spot, Jack did a moonsault off the security rail onto Teddy. The Ref was counting, and Jack got in before the ten count to win by countout. VERY unpopular, w several unruly, and honestly, disrespectful fans. throwing cans or garbage in the ring. I would have liked to see a pin, but the way the match went, it made sense. Enjoyed a simply SPECTACULAR MATCH which barring some miracle next week, will EASILY be my MOTM for march, and is a MOTY candidate. One of the best matches Ive ever seen Live. Teddy did another promo post match, thanking the fans and the company, for allowing HIm and Jack to compete vs e/o and for the fans. Worth the long day and trip for this match alone.

Devon Moore then defeated M Dogg 20 by rolling thru a top rope crossbody into a pin. This match was very good, dont get me wrong. But, after what the previous match had shown, the fans just were still buzzing, and needed a break, so they werent as into it. Moore tho looked very very good, and Dogg is impressive. A Reverse Airplane s pin onto a drop of Moore onto his face by Dogg was really cool..

Final match for the HW title elimination, saw Jerry Lynn battle Kenny Omega. Another excellent back and forth match, that saw Lynn nearly get a pinfall, then try his cradle piledriver. Omega, who had his moment, blocked it, and counter into a bridge pinfall for the win. Both men were applauded, and embraced. So, that set up. Omega vs Moore vs Evans for the PWS HW TITLE

Commissh Necro Butcher came out and said that yes Sabu was "injured" ????. He said there were lots of hardcore guys in the back to wrestle Sandman, but he ended up in there. Sandman came out and did his classic entrance all over the building. IN our section, he stood on my and another chair, and yess..being the only definite old fart in that small part, I got the beer..hehe. Wink Only complaint was I only got some to drink and doused my sweater w the rest..ha. Lots of fun, and thats still a great entrance. The match wasnt much, w both men talking bout hardcore, Sandman won a rather short match, when Necro missed Sandman w the kendo, and it recoiled off the rope, hit him, and Sandman rolled him up. I found it humorus after they talked bout all the stuff that would be legal in the match, that they started w a collar and elbow. Most of the fans didnt mind that the match wasnt much, or very long, as it seemed Sandmans entrance was the "Show" there..

Main event for the PWS title. Moore vs Jack Evans vs Kenny Omega. The match started furiously w all three man trying to end it quick, and hitting some great moves. Devon Moore and Omega, then got the idea to double team Evans, who was obviously worn after the other two matches, including the 25 minute classic w Hart. A Double team bridge move, lead to Jack APPARENTLY submitting. Ref Bass told commissh Butcher, who had come out again, that it was a submission. Moore then asked the crowd if they wanted Jack to stay in thematch. He said too bad, hes in the back now. Omega got pissed and cut a promo backing Evans, and him and Moore then went at it fast and hard for about five minutes, but both men were knocked silly on a move, I forget which. This lead to a double countout?????? Commissh Butcher tried getting Moore back in the ring, but he went to the back and left. Omega then apologized for the ending to the fans, and said next time, they would definitely settle it. Show ends..1210 AM

Well. despite No Sabu and the, build notwithstanding, lousy end to the main event, the show was very solid, featuring some strong matches, incl all the tournament matches, a nd the aforementioned Instant five star classic w Hart and Evans.

Was great sitting w Brian and Infamous Tim, who were a blast, and meeting Austin, and getting autographs incl 8x10 s of Teddy Hart and Angelina Love. Plus, c hatting w Romeo Roselli, who was doing some vending and signing.

PWS plans on running three events in May..Id love to have a chance to come back to one, we shall see.
