More on Indy Mermaid Ariel "Eric" Alverado

To follow up on Pride Wrestling canceling their second show in a row (and let's not forget that "promoter" Eric Alverado keeps announcing shows but has never actually ran a show), the DOI was forwarded text messages from several of the wrestlers that had their time wasted by Alverado & his fake bookings.

Here are the text messages Eric sent to the people he booked:
(Note, these messages are verbatim and have not been edited. Again, this shows the professionalism of Eric, when sending out a message like this.)

"Hey guys the show is being cancled, I apologise for waisting every bodys time, shit just isnt going right, had a problem with the doctor anhe building, I= am not gong tyo try to run anymore cause it does not work out, I am sorry! And I apprecieate all help from everyone!="

Eric is saying he can't get a doctor to the show on a Monday, as his reason to cancel a show on a Friday, so obviously he is completely full of shit. I mean Carmine Sabia wouldn't even use an excuse like that and Carmine would blame snowstorms in July as a reason to cancel.

Several wrestlers called the building to see if Eric notified the building of the cancellation. The venue said Eric called to cancel the show outright. The venue also made it clear that they were not high on doing a wrestling show, so basically Eric killed a building, stole money from fans and pissed over the hard work of real promoters. Indy wrestling is not an easy business and when clowns like Eric come along, they screw it up for the people really trying to do something right.

Keith from the Sports Place (who dealt with Eric about renting his venue) emailed us from his keith@thesportsplace.com email account. Here is his email to the fans:

Eric Alvarado also stiffed the venue for his January 8th show and promised to make good for that show with proceeds from the show on the March 12th. Obviously he hasn't and the venue The Sports Place is now added to his list of victims.

When he came into The Sports Place to RE-book the event after the first cancellation disaster, he did it with a NEW partner Jamie Rahmer who at the time said he would stand by and GUARANTEE everything. Of course today Mr. Rahmer is DENIES everything and says he to is a victim.

Everybody owed money (wrestlers and ticket holders) should deluge these guys with phone calls.

Eric has not responded to DOI emails about this situation. As reported previously, he cowardly deleted the facebook accounts associated with the show, but as of press time is accepting ticket money on the Pride Wrestling website.

There was also a situation with Chris Dickinson and Alverado that has been making the rounds. Apparently, Alverado pulled out of a match with Dickinson because Alverado was offended by a promo that Dickinson did on YouTube. Several wrestlers also added that everyone laughs at Eric behind his back and to quote one Ohio wrestler, "is nothing but a ticket selling goof."

Add Eric to the list of people who have made false promises and wasted peoples time.
