Greetings SAW Wrestling fans and Happy Summer!!

Soul Asylum Wrestling is proud to announce our return to the SAW Dojo at 121 Jersey Ave New Brunswick, NJ (3rd floor) on Friday night June 24th with an 8:00pm bell time. This event: "Return of the Champions" will feature a title defense by the reigning SAW Women's Champion, Taylor Nicole! You will also see B.M. Foster, and Prince of Darkness, managed by diabolical manager Joe Rules defend their newly won SAW Tag Team Championships against the one and only dancing duo of the Soul Brothers!
The rivalry between Joe Rules and the Soul Brothers goes back to 1997 when the Souls and the Big Unit (combos of Rules, Rick Silver, Dave Desire, and Nick Berk) battled all over the Tri-State area in such legendary Indy feds as Delaware's East Coast Wrestling Association (ECWA), the New York and New Jersey factions of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA NY & NWA NJ), Reading, PA's Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling (PCW), IWF, UWF, and many other great Indy promotions.

Speaking of Rick Silver, he has now become the SAW Commissioner and has realized what a jerk Joe Rules is, and has vowed to never again listen to the rantings of the dastardly manager Rules. Commissioner Silver stated that if Rules interferes in the tag team title match, he will be fired!

Few wrestling shows can match the unmistakable nostalgic feel and great wrestling and boxing history and atmosphere of the SAW Dojo.

Our May 7th show started out with "Happy" Commissioner Rick Silver announcing that the main event tag team match between the teams of B.M. Foster and Prince of Darkness vs. "Handsome" Hanson and Spade was going to be to crown the first ever SAW Tag Team Champions, but was going to be made to be a "3-Way Dance Tag Team Turmoil Elimination"(wheeww) match, and that the third team would be the Soul Brothers!

Match 1: Two debuts here, as New Wave defeated the mysterious masked man Phobius

Match 2: Taylor Nicole comes out and announces that Alexa Thatcher had a broken wrist and could not compete, then demanded that the match and SAW Women's title be forfeited. This brought out Commissioner Silver, who begrudgingly handed over the Women's strap to Nicole, who is suspected of paying off Thatcher's training partner to purposely injure Alexa. Silver then ordered a match between Thatcher and Nicole at the June 18th show.
This brought out Alexa Thatcher who announced that she had a replacement to wrestle in her place, and Silver OK'd it and made it a non-title match, Thatcher then brought out Melissa Stripes, who with the help of the injured Thatcher defeated the Women's Champ.

Match 3: Two more debuts with fan favorite Kyle Smiley defeating Joey Hedges

Match 4 : The debuting Hollyhood defeated the "Masked Gunslinger" w/ Joe Rules

Match 5: "3-Way Dance Tag Team Turmoil Elimination" match for the Soul Asylum Wrestling Tag Team Titles. B.M. Foster & Prince of Darkness vs. Spade & "Handsome" Hanson vs. The Soul Brothers.
Order of elimination: 1. Spade, 2. Elvin Soul, 3. Prince of Darkness, 4. Jack Soul, 5. "Handsome" Hanson... The winners and new SAW Tag Team Champs B.M. Foster & Prince of Darkness!

This just in... Former ECW Tag Team and NWA Florida Champion "D2" Danny Doring has just been added to the already stellar lineup this Saturday afternoon! No word yet as to whom Doring will face, but there has been some speculation of a Soul Asylum Wrestling title match to crown the first ever S.A.W. Heavyweight Champion. Soul Asylum Wrestling "Christmas Chaos" At the Dojo in New Brunswick, NJ Saturday December 18th 2004.

The show was geared towards qualifying matches for the upcoming S.A.W. Heavyweight Title Tournament, to be held in March 2005... All the evenings singles matches were qualifying matches. Our February 12th 2005 show will feature the remaining qualifying matches, so tonights shows winners move on to the tournament, losers move on tho the "Second chance" Battle Royal at night's end....

Match 1: Corvis Fear w/ Sabrina Lee vs. Kage- The 300 pound Kage dominated 2/3 of the match only to have Fear pull out an upset featuring a Frog Splash finisher. Winner: Corvis Fear - Qualified for tournament.

Special Challenge Strong Style "Non-Qualifying" Match
Match 2: Supreme Lee Great vs. Cabbie- Back and forth action the whole match until Supreme Lee Great beat Cabbie after a low-blow unseen by the official. Winner: Supreme Lee Great

Match 3: The Soul Brothers w/ Soul Sister Sabrina Lee vs "Polynesian Warrior" Mana & "Shaolin" Suba w/ Joe Rules- The new "Dogs of War" Mana and Suba seemed to have the Soul Brothers number until manager Joe Rules' attempt to interfere was shot down by Soul Sister Sabrina Lee causing a schoolboy rollup pin. 1-2-3 Winners: The Soul Brothers

Match 4: Butcher Blackwell vs. Patch- This was a classic wrestling match from bell to bell with the 2nd generation wrestler Blackwell showing amazing speed and agility for a super-heavyweight, and Patch showing incredible power, with his suplexes and slams on the larger opponent. In the end both men thought they scored the pin. Winner: Butcher Blackwell - Qualified for tournament.

Match 5: Bandido Jr. vs. Crazy Ivan w/ Joe Rules- In one of the more emotional matches in recent memory, these two pulled out all the stops. The extremely popular and arieal sensationalist Bandido Jr. versus the hometown "Bad Guy" Ivan. Both competitors were being cheered, Ivan reluctantly appreciating his Community's support, while giving Bandido the beating of his life, and Bandido Jr. just swept everyone away in amazement with his maneuvers. Words can't do justice. You have to experience Soul Asylum Wrestling... S.A.W. Wrestling to truly appreciate the atmosphere, and feeling in our product. Winner: Bandido Jr. - Qualified for tournament.

Match 6: "Second Chance" Battle Royal featuring all the nights tag team competitors and the losers of all singles "qualifying" matches, winner is the evenings final qualifier for the S.A.W. Tournament- Match starts right after Crazy Ivan's loss, as he is double-crossed and attacked by Joe Rules & Mana, his "stable-mates". The rested Mana assaulted, as Rules convinced officials to start the Battle Royal right then and there. After all the other competitors came and went it came down to Ivan, Mana, and Patch as the final three. Outnumbered, exhausted, and injured, Ivan took advantage when Mana and Patch argued, eliminating Mana, then Patch using their own momentum. Winner: Crazy Ivan - Qualified for tournament.

Wrestlers Announced for December 18th Qualifying Round:

Corvis Fear- a wild light-heavyweight with deceptive strength and an innovative offensive attack.

Crazy Ivan- A nine year veteran of the northeast independent wrestling scene and one of the most vicious competitors in our sport.

Patch- A very dangerous heavyweight who claims he is the top competitor in the tournament, and should get a bye to the first round, imagine that.

Bandido Jr.- Trained by his NJ masked luchadore legend father Bandido Classic. This fan-favorite hopes to reign supreme and continue his family legacy.

Kage- A newcomer to New Jersey independent wrestling, this 6'3" 255 pound powerhouse is one of the favorites to win the S.A.W. Heavyweight crown.

Butcher Blackwell- Last but certainly not least, this massive 400 pound competitor is a 13 year veteran and is the latest member of the legendary Blackwell wrestling family to wreak havoc in our sport, and threatens all in his way.

Four more competitors will qualify for the S.A.W. Heavyweight title tournament at our February 14, 2005 event!

The self professed "Greatest Manager in the history of professional wrestling" Joe Rules has announced that he has taken the reigns on the " Dogs of War" faction featuring himself, Crazy Ivan, and the newly formed tag team of "Polynesian Warrior" Mana and "Shaolin" Suba! Rules guarantees victories all around for his stable.
