WWF LEGENDS TAG TEAM MATCH
King Kong Bundy & Stockade vs Tito Santana & Spyder
This match, which pits two of the World Wrestling Federation's most beloved stars against each other in tag team action, would never have seen the light of day had it not been for the impromptu action figure battle between Stockade and Spyder long after last month's edition of Rampage had ended. The two in-ring rivals were interrupted by Mikey Whipwreck, who immediately deduced that a match including both Bundy and Santana would be a great idea! Now, as Stockade and Spyder team up with their favorite old school superstars, playtime is definitely over!
And don't forget, you can pose for pictures and get autographs from King Kong Bundy and Tito Santana during intermission! Click here for more details.
SPECIAL APPEARANCE
NYWC Champion Mason Raige will be in the house!
Last month, Mason Raige seemingly finalized his long-time rivalry with former tag team partner, Dickie Rodz, as he soundly defeated Rodz in a no-holds-barred championship street fight. Now, Mason is awaiting his next challenge, and he will be prepared for anything when he arrives at NYWC Rampage. Will anyone dare to challenge perhaps the most dominant individual in NYWC history? Will Raige defend his title, will he make an announcement, or will he just unleash his personal brand of hell? Whatever he has planned, Mason Raige will definitely be in the locker room on April 22, and as everyone knows, when Mason Raige is on hand, there's simply no telling what could happen!
NYWC INTERSTATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Dickie Rodz vs Javi-Air (c)
For two months in a row, Javi-Air was able to fend off one of the NYWC's most dangerous competitors, Grim Reefer. Now, Javi will face a new challenge... Dickie Rodz is only a couple months removed from an NYWC Championship reign, and he is fresh off perhaps the most painful match of his entire career. Without a doubt, the former two-time NYWC Champion will be looking to make someone suffer, and who better to take out his frustrations on than a fresh-faced rookie Interstate champion? Of course, Javi's relative inexperience has not proven to be a disadvantage in his career so far, so perhaps Rodz will get more than he bargained for!
NYWC TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Brian Myers & Brett Matthews w/ Prince Charles vs B.S. Xpress (c) w/ Crusher Doogan
On Sunday, March 26, Brian Myers & Brett Matthews were stunned when Burma and Spinelli of B.S. Xpress beat them at an NWA Cyberspace event to become the new NYWC Tag Team Champions. It didn't take long for Myers & Matthews to demand a rematch, and on April 22, these two young, impressive teams to go into battle once again with the belts on the line. For Myers & Matthews, it is a chance to redeem themselves and ensure that they remain among the top tag teams in the indy circuit. For Tony Burma & Mike Spinelli, winning this match and retaining the prized titles would signal that after years of training, scheming and fighting, their rise to stardom has officially begun.
NYWC HI-FI CHAMPIONSHIP
Plazma vs Mike Spinelli (c)
Being a double champion is tough, especially when one of the NYWC's hungriest competitors is chomping at the bit to take his belt back. Mike Spinelli will not only be defending his new tag team title alongside Tony Burma on April 22, he will also be forced to put his NYWC HI-FI Championship on the line against the man who previously held the belt, Plazma. Plazma was the first person to hold the HI-FI title, and there's no question that he is dying to reclaim the belt and cut Mike Spinelli back down to size. But Spinelli has momentum on his side, not to mention the usual suspects accompanying him to ringside. Can Plazma overcome these overwhelming odds to emerge victorious?
NO TIME LIMIT REMATCH
Jerry Lynn vs Quiet Storm
Last month, Jerry Lynn and Quiet Storm went toe-to-toe in match that see-sawed back and forth for fifteen minutes. Unfortunately, just Quiet Storm was about to yield to a painful submission hold, the time limit expired and the bell rang, and the referee ruled the match a draw. Upon some serious coaxing from the crowd, ref Andre was prepared to let Lynn and Storm wrestle for five more minutes, provided they both agreed to continue. Lynn had no reservations about continuing, but Quiet Storm had apparently had enough, as he flipped off the crowd and sauntered to the locker room. Now, Lynn and Storm will do battle once again, but this time, there will be no time limit and absolutely no excuses!
TAG TEAM MATCH
Rob Eckos & Billy Bax vs Mega & Joey Braggiol
Eckos and Bax... a finely tuned machine, a well-rounded duo that has dominated the northeast indy scene for years thanks to their teamwork and athleticism. Mega and Braggiol... the NYWC's two most massive individual competitors, seemingly tagging together strictly for the purpose of destroying their opponents, and perhaps picking up some gold along the way. Despite their obvious differences, both of these teams have one common trait, and that is their rise up the ladder in the tag team division. Eckos and Bax are fresh off yet another victory, and Mega and Braggiol are fired up for a fight once again after an undeserved loss to the tag team champions. Who has more to prove? Who will take that final leap toward the top of the division? Find out on April 22 at NYWC Rampage!
TAG TEAM MATCH
Disturbed Damien Dragon & Ken Scampi w/ Foxxy Dreams vs Dan Barry & Maverick
If any one story has given NYWC fans food for thought, it's the twisted relationship between former tag team partners Dan Barry and Ken Scampi, their former manager Foxxy Dreams, and her long-time partner and husband, Disturbed Damien Dragon (check out Kevin Craven's recent edition of Ringside if you need to refresh your memory). Last month, the saga continued as Ken Scampi interrupted a match between Dan Barry and Maverick, attacking Barry from out of nowhere. Foxxy Dreams then brought Damien Dragon to the ring to get involved, and before long, Maverick joined the fray as well. When Scampi, Barry and Maverick had all left the ring, Foxxy Dreams revealed a surprise for her hubby... a handicap match against the Dead Presidents! Damien was physically decimated, but the surprising return of Tara Charisma, who came to the disturbed one's aid following the match, puts an interesting new wrinkle into this ongoing drama.
Reality television often subscribes to a single rule... put the most unstable, emotionally volatile individuals together and watch the fireworks ensue. Commissioner Whipwreck seemingly decided to test this theory as Damien Dragon will team up with Ken Scampi (with Foxxy Dreams at ringside) as they face off against Dan Barry and Maverick. Will these teammates manage to coexist? How will Foxxy react to Tara's actions? And what role will Maverick play? All this remains to be seen, but one this is certain... with so much action packed into one show, you absolutely can't miss one second of NYWC Rampage! Get your tickets now!
