NWA Upstate Update- February 16th, 2006
*NWA Upstate would like to thank the 550+ fans that attended February Fallout last Saturday, making it the largest attended Upstate event EVER! Thanks again to all the fans and sponsors, and we hope to see everyone on Saturday, April 8th to help celebrate NWA Upstate's second anniversary with Anniversary Anarchy II.

*The biggest news coming out of Saturday night is a tie, both having to do with Brodie Lee. First off Lee was able to do the unthinkable, and defeated the F'N God of professional wrestling Steve Corino! Lee has taken on some of the best in the business today, scoring wins against the likes of Corino & Colt Cabana, as well as taking Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, Abyss, and Shark Boy all to their limits. With all of this experience Lee has all the momentum going into Anniversary Anarchy II when he will be facing "Wonderman" Glenn Spectre for the Heavyweight title inside the STEEL CAGE! That's right, back in October Lee had Abyss defeated in the center of the ring until Spectre slammed the cage door on Lee's head, sending him into Abyss and the Black Hole Slam. After a year of battles this war is finally coming to a head, and it will all end inside the steel cage. Spectre has nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, and will have to face Lee face-to-face on April 8th with his Heavyweight gold on the line.

*There is a new faction on the rise here in NWA Upstate, actually, not on the rise, more like has been reborn as Star Rider and his Star Foundation have reemerged, with Star Rider leading "Fabulous" John McChesney to the Upstate No Limits Title, as well as the debuting Sterling James Keenan, along with the returning FUSION! Star Rider now has all the backup he needs to begin his takeover of NWA Upstate, and looks to continue the roll at Anniversary Anarchy II. "Fabulous" & SJK have both been signed to appear on April 8th.

*The new team of Rhythm & Booze along with Veronica Banks have quietly made an impact in Upstate over the past few months, going as far as stealing a win from the Olsen's this past Saturday due to Banks' interference. The Olsen's are looking to get some revenge, but are outnumbered 3 to 2 in this situation, and Brodie Lee has his hands full with his steel cage match. However, it did not take long for the Olsen's to find some help, and it is in the form of the lovely APRIL HUNTER! So it is official, in a Six Person Tag we will see Rhythm & Booze & Veronica Banks vs. The Olsen's & April Hunter! Things are just heating up between these two up and coming teams, and it doesn't get much hotter than APRIL HUNTER.

*Speaking of Rhythm & Booze, it was announced prior to their match that the winner would qualify for the NWA Upstate 8 Tag Team Tournament later this fall! That means R & B are the first tag team announced for the third annual tournament! NWA Upstate will hold more qualifying matches for the tournament at the shows leading up to the tourney.

*There were many great debuts at this weekends event, but maybe none greater than Ricky Landell. Landell may have had the fans support due to their hatred for Spectre, but as the match progressed Landell easily won the fans over and gave a great effort but fell just a little short. Landell, along with SJK, John Bolin, & Hornet all impressed Upstate officials and fans.

*The war between NWA Upstate and ESW is at its boiling point, and its gotten so out of control that none other than CHIP STETSON and HELLCAT(formerly Team 4:20) took out Johnny Puma & Johnny Kayfabe following the six man title match at February Fallout. Hellcat issued the challenge to Puma, Kayfabe, and ESW to face Team 4:20 at Anniversary Anarchy, but to our surprise ESW has decided to NOT accept the match, and do not plan on attending the event! As of now we still will see both Chip Stetson & Hellcat come out of retirement for one night only as they will challenge Johnny Kayfabe, and a partner of his choosing THAT NIGHT! Just who will Kayfabe be able to depend on if his fellow ESW buddies aren't by his side? The odds are favoring Upstate and Team 420 as of now as we look forward to Anniversary Anarchy II.

*Another match signed is the Tag Title match that will see The Roadies(Sammy & Dave) with VanAtlas & Nikki Jett challenging the new champions Up in Smoke(Cheech & Cloudy) with Miss DeVille. The Roadies became #1 contenders in a 3 way elimination match against the Olsens & The Backseat Boyz back in December at X-Mas Chaos 05'. The Roadies not only stopped this tag title match from starting the show(the second time they've broken the match up), they also brutally attacked the worn out and tired champions following their title victory. These two teams have a long history with each other all over the east coast, and will have another chapter added on April 8th at the All Star Sports Arena.

OK.... ENOUGH OF THE RECAP!!! NOW ONTO THE ANNIVERSARY SHOW!
