Elite Wrestling Entertainment to Launch July 22 in
Tampa, Florida; TALENT CONFIRMED!
After weeks of Internet rumors, it is official that Elite Wrestling Entertainment will launch Friday, July
22nd in Tampa, Florida at American Legion Post #5. Elite Wrestling Entertainment, headed by longtime Florida promoter, Ron Niemi, has confirmed that they will hold an 8 Man Tournament at its first show, entitled "Florida's Strongest."
The final 2 names to crown the first ever EWE Champion have just been signed. Former IPW Heavyweight Champion and Florida indy veteran "Iceman" Buck Quartermain, and wrestling's hottest prospect "The Shooter" Vordell Walker.
Both these tremendous athletes join an already impressive list of competitors as EWE looks to crown "Florida's Strongest"

"The Florida area has been dying for a new direction and I view this new promotion as what has the chance to be the "breath of fresh air". I have been given the power to book, sign, and coordinate talent as I see fit to produce the best shows in the Sunshine State,"stated Ron Niemi, Head of Talent Relations of Elite Wrestling Entertainment. "While these shows will include several familiar faces from my past promotions, expect a completely different product from EWE. The fat has been trimmed, per say, and I am dedicated to re-establishing the Florida area with my ideas. Expect a long and wild ride from Elite Wrestling Entertainment because I GUARANTEE there will not be anything else like it!"
Furthermore, EWE has also confirmed dates for July 29 in Sanford, Florida and July 30 back in Tampa. Ron Niemi was quoted as, "While our inaugural event will be a HUGE statement, our first double shot the following weekend will be HUGE, to say the least. Several names have been contacted and we have already locked in a talent from Japan and Canada to wrestle that weekend. EWE will release more names as the time gets closer, so definitely keep your eyes and ears open. ANYTHING could happen and ANYONE could appear!"

2 more names have been confirmed for the 8 Man Tournament at EWE's first show, entitled "Florida's Strongest." The first two participants confirmed for the tournament were fierce rivals, "Master of the Backbreaker" Roderick Strong and "The Modern Miracle" Steve Madison. Joining them will be former 2 Time NWA Wildside Heavyweight Champion and 2nd Generation star Ray Gordy as well as the prized pupil of Roderick Strong and emerging powerhouse on the indie scene Erick Stevens.
Ron Niemi said, "This tournament is really shaping up to be an exciting night of wrestling for the fans here in Florida and will be one hell of a debut for Elite Wrestling Entertainment. We want to bring something new to this territory and plan to make a lot of noise in the process so watch for more huge announcements soon!"
