CWF MID-ATLANTIC'S TV TAPING HELD ON MARCH 26TH IN BURLINGTON, NC
The following results are from the CWF Mid-Atlantic TV Taping held
Saturday, March 26th, at the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington,
NC. All bouts are sanctioned by the AWA, the American Wrestling
Association:

2. "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel pinned Kid Justice (4:50)
3. Team Adonis (Alex Adonis & Jay Sinn) defeated Classic Rock
("Classic" Chris Collins & "Rock N Roll" Matty Dee) by pinfall (8:49)
4. Krazy K, T.J. Mack, Ultra Dragon & Xsiris def. Scotty Blaze,
Gregory Vercetti, Scotty Rocker & Shawn Christian in eight-man tag
action (13:12)
5. Brass Munkey & Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride defeated. UNOD
(Drake Tungsten & Hugh B. "Bad News" Johnson) by submission (10:07)
6. Jay Sinn pinned Gemini Kid (8:00)
7. AWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions $outh$ide Playas (J-Money &
Will B. Smooth w/Kiyia Moka) defeated Tank Lawson & "Handsome" Mitch
Conner by pinfall (11:28)
8. AWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion "Slick" Ric Converse
defeated AWA Mid-Atlantic Television Champion Jesse "El Fuego"
Ortega by pinfall (15:10) to retain the Heavyweight Title. Ortega
retains the Television Title since he was not defeated in under 10
minutes as stipulated by TV title defense rules.
Notes:
Mikael Yamaha and manager Brad Stutts hit the ring in the closing
minutes of the Gemini Kid vs. Jay Sinn bout, nailing Gemini with the
brass knuckles allowing Sinn an easy pinfall.
Brass Munkey demanded that former Crew-mate "Dangerous E" Corey
Edsel come out and face "the monster he created," but Edsel did not
appear.
Following the main event, as Commissioner Cross was making comments
to the fans, an air horn sounded and lights filled the outside
entrance and Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens drove his "Madd Truck" up
to the Sports Arena and entered the ring. He confronted Cross and
made light of being ordered to apologize for everyone he had
injured. After apparently making a half-hearted apology, the Trucker
attacked Cross, breaking his glasses, ripping his shirt off and
striking him several times with his billy club. "Classic Rock" hit
the ring and the Trucker tossed both over the top ropes and attacked
Cross once again. After a few long moments, AWA Mid-Atlantic
Heavyweight Champion "Slick Diddy" Ric Converse hit the ring to
confront Stevens. After Converse agreed to face Trucker for the
title belt, instead of leaving as promised, Stevens attacked the
champion from behind, beating him down with his billy club, forcing
the entire roster from the dressing rooms to contain the wildman.
Converse left the arena with the help of several wrestlers, bleeding
from the Trucker's maniacal billy club attack.
CWF Mid-Atlantic action returns next Saturday to the Fairchild Rec.
Center in Burlington, NC to raise funds for the ARC of Alamance!

OTANI SCORES ANOTHER VICTORY OVER AWA WORLD HWT. CHAMPION;
OMORI REBOUNDS WITH SUCCESSFUL TITLE DEFENSE IN 3-WAY
Shinjiro Otani scored his second victory over reigning AWA World
Heavyweight Champion, Takao Omori, on March 25th in Sapporo, Japan.
Otani teamed with Ryouji Sai while Omori teamed with Kohei Sato.
Otani scored the fatal three count on the champion after executing a
full nelson suplex and holding it for the pinfall.
This second win in two weeks over the World Champion has certainly
proven that Otani is the top contender to the title.
However with the AWA World Hwt. Title on the line in a special 3-way
dance against Otani and Steve Corino, Takao Omori proved why he is
the real world champion. The March 27th event saw Omori
successfully defend his title in 20:13

CWF MID-ATLANTIC LIVE ACTIOIN TONIGHT IN MT. AIRY, NC
CWF Mid-Atlantic returns to the Veterans Memorial Park in Mt. Airy,
NC this Saturday, March 5th, with a 7:30pm belltime. This is a
full card of great action! All bouts are sanctioned by the AWA, the
American Wrestling Association.
** HOME TOWN HERO GETS HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE SHOT!
** #1 CONTENDERS TO THE TAG TITLES PUT THEIR SPOT ON THE LINE!
** BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN SEEKS REVENGE IN STREET FIGHT!
Tonight at the Veterans Memorial Park in Mt. Airy, expect a night
full of wild action complete with the most coveted singles title in
the area on the line.
The home town hero, "Wild" Shane West, will get an opportunity to
lay claim to the AWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship in Mt.
Airy. West has compiled an impressive win/loss record over the past
few months, edging his way up the contenders list to the heavyweight
crown. With the return of wrestling action to Mt. Airy, Assistant
Commissioner Michael McAllister granted West a shot at the title in
his home town. West vowed on television last week that his hands
would be used this Saturday night to "tear down the Dynasty" that
has been built by champion Ric Converse. Expect the fans in Mt.
Airy to be fully supportive of their local favorite as he gets the
chance of a lifetime... a chance to win the AWA Mid-Atlantic
Heavyweight Title in his home town!
"Slick Diddy" Ric Converse stated that he's glad to face West in Mt.
Airy for many reasons. Most of which was to show the fans in Mt.
Airy what a real champion looked like. Converse boasted that "Mt.
Airy hasn't seen a real man since the 80's... and Saturday night
they will see Slick Diddy live and in person put their local hero
down for the 1-2-3."
Along with the tremendous main event title bout, fans in Mt. Airy
will see the #1 contenders to the AWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles
in action. The $outh$ide Playas, J-Money & Will B. Smooth, are
placing their top ranking up for grabs against the duo of
Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens & The Shadow. The Playas will face a
huge disadvantage in size as Stevens & Shadow will certainly try to
use that difference to capture the victory. However fans in Mt.
Airy know that the Playas are on a roll with the tag team straps in
their grasp... and this match is a must win for the Playas to get a
title shot against the champions, Twisted Aggression.
The third big match just might shake the walls down at Veterans
Memorial Park! Rob "The Boogie Woogie Man" McBride has requested a
special Mt. Airy Street Fight against "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel!
The Boogie Man is looking for revenge against Edsel for his recent
actions including attacking the Boogie Man's friend, Brass Munkey,
trying to hang him in the process! McBride has promised Edsel a
night of pain, blues, and agony in this wild bout where falls count
anywhere in Mt. Airy... a Street Fight where practically anything
goes! This is sure to see the blood flow in the streets of Mt. Airy
as these two giants in wrestling duke it out!
