Attendance: 60
The American Wrestling Alliance returned to its home-base in Union City, NJ at the AWA Arena with another action filled night. Here's a quick look at the action that took place:
- In the opening match, the first three way of the contender's series, Damian Dragon advanced to the #1 contender's match by defeating El Chapuline Negro and "Sugar" Sean Ramos.
- Bison Bravado made his return to an AWA ring and defeated Cheech, who was accompanied by Cloudy.
- The AWA Women's title was on the line next as Luscious Lily successfully defeated Alicia in her return match and captured the gold. After the match Alicia had to be helped to the back by fellow NBC member Eric Cooper as she seemed to have been knocked unconscious.
- In the second contender's series three way, in what many say was the match of the night, Archadia defeated NBC Member Envy and Wes Draven to secure his spot in the #1 contender's match on June 10th.
- The Union City Street Fight closed out the first half. Neeno Capone came out right away and let everyone know The Idol was attacked by Pinkie and Donovan earlier in the night and sent to the hospital. He then said "I have a lot of friends in the back." Deranged's music then hit, and it was now Deranged and Neeno versus Pinkie and Donovan. Deranged and Neeno Capone came out on top defeating Pinkie Sanchez and Mike Donovan.
- We opened up the second half with some tag team action. The contender's series which is hot underway was set to determine who will be fighting for the #1 contendership to the AWA Tag Team titles. It was an eight man tag match with four tag teams involved, and they did not know who was on who's side. It ended up being The Outcast Killaz and All Money Is Legal defeating Notorious Inc, Drew Blood and Devon Moore, and The Elm Street Kidz! The OCK and AMIL will now go at it June 10th with the winner facing Eric Cooper and Envy for a shot at the tag titles in the near future!
- The "Brooklyn Bull" Steve 'Monsta' Mac made his return to an AWA ring and was on the opposite side of the Infernal Chapel's monster, Manslaughter. Due to outside interference from King Kronic, Manslaughter was able to one up Mac and earn a victory.
- Simon Diamond alongside Rob Moore once again one upped one of AWA's heart and soul, this time by defeating Rob Vegas. Simon said he still has a problem, and June 10th will have a big surprise for all the AWA fans.
- The anticipated grudge match was next, as Jay Lethal took on NBC member Eric Cooper. These two literally beat the crap out of one another as they have a strong profound hatred. Jay Lethal was able to outsmart Cooper and countered a Cooper reverse to the Dragon Suplex for a 1..2..3.. Afterwards Cooper challenged Lethal to a best of five series, Lethal accepted but said this one counts! Lethal now leads the series 1 to 0!
- In the Main Event, CJ O'Doyle came up short in his quest to get the AWA World title from Danny Demanto as Demanto was able to walk out champion after a brutal match.
The AWA returns June 10th, and already announced for this night:
- Jay Lethal will battle Eric Cooper one on one in match # 2 of the best of five series!
- Damian Dragon will go one on one with Archadia with the winner getting their shot at AWA Lightweight Champion Azrieal!
- In the finals of the tag team contender's series, The Outcast Killaz will meet All Money Is Legal!
- Simon Diamond has promised a surprise!
