Pro Wrestling WAR returns live to the Gym at the Park in La Habra Heights, California with a bell time of 2:00pm. Here is the scheduled line-up:
Pro Wrestling WAR Championship Match
AARON AGUILERA (champion) vs. CHARLES MERCURY
At the 10.21.05 show, Aaron Aguilera issued an open challenge to the most controversial man in pro wrestling – Teddy Hart – to face him on 12.18.05. However, when 12.18.05 rolled around, Hart was nowhere to be found. Adding to the night’s controversy was the firing of everyone associated with Team EPIC, leaving the Pro Wrestling WAR Champion – Austin Aries – without an opponent, as he was scheduled to face Team EPIC member, Tony Kozina. Looking to make amends on both sides, WAR Officials gave Aguilera the opportunity to face Aries for the Pro Wrestling WAR Championship. After a hard fought match, Aguilera managed to do what many before him couldn’t do for the past year – pin Austin Aries to become the second Pro Wrestling WAR Champion.
The 12.18.05 WAR show also saw the Modern-Day Warrior, Charles Mercury, win the first ever Rocky Balboa Challenge, granting him the right to face the Pro Wrestling WAR Champion – whoever it may be - on 01.15.06. Fans will remember that it was Mercury who wrestled in the very first Pro Wrestling WAR match, opening the debut show back on 11.12.04, by defeating Quicksilver and Ronin in a Triple Threat match. Now, over a year later - after battles with competitors like Davey Richards, El Generico, Ryan Drago, Yoshida, Joey EPIC, Alex Koslov, and Hook Bomberry – Mercury steps into the Main Event against a man who stands over a foot taller than him and who outweighs him by almost 100 lbs. If there were ever an underdog situation for the young competitor, this is it.
If that wasn’t enough, we’ve just been informed that the very man whom Aguilera challenged back on 10.21.05 – Teddy Hart – has vowed to be at the 01.15.06 Pro Wrestling WAR show. In what capacity at this point, no one knows. What can be stated is that Hart has taken exception to everything Aguilera said about him on 10.21.05. Will the presence of Teddy Hart be an obstacle in Aguilera's first title defense? Will Aguilera be able to properly focus on WAR's resident underdog, Charles Mercury? Will Mercury be able to capitalize on the appearance of Hart? The only way to find out how it all goes down is to be there LIVE on 01.15.06 and see for yourself.
LOW KI vs. ALEX KOSLOV
On 12.18.05, Low Ki made his Pro Wrestling WAR debut, defeating one of the most popular young competitors in WAR – Davey Richards. The conclusion of the match saw both competitors shake hands in a sign of mutual respect. Low Ki has made it clear to WAR Officials that he has come to WAR to face the competitors of the future – not only young, hungry wrestlers looking to make an impact in 2006, but opponents he can’t face anywhere else in the Country. Stepping into that role on 01.15.06 will be young Alex Koslov.
While many consider Koslov to be one of the hottest young talents in Southern California, he has yet to secure a victory in WAR. On 01.15.06, he will face his toughest challenge yet in Low Ki - one of the most intense wrestlers on the planet. Will Low Ki make it 2-0 in Pro Wrestling WAR? Or will the young Koslov pull off the upset of the year?
DAVEY RICHARDS vs. RYAN DRAGO
Davey Richards was on a roll in Pro Wrestling WAR. With victories over Hook Bomberry (in what many consider the Pro Wrestling WAR Match-of-the-Year), Shannon Moore, and Charles Mercury, Richards looked to face his greatest challenge in Low Ki on 12.18.05. Although unsuccessful, his defeat at Low Ki’s hands was an honorable one. It was small consolation to Richards’ ego, though. Now, the fire in Richards’ heart burns brighter than ever. Looking to work his way back up the ladder, he will face a young man making his return to Pro Wrestling WAR after a year-long absence - Ryan Drago. Drago, however, looks to make an impact by capitalizing on the damage done to Richards by Low Ki on 12.18.05. On paper, these two mirror each other perfectly. Both are intense, hard-hitting competitors trained by some of the best wrestlers on the planet – Richards by the WCW Power Plant and Tony Kozina; Drago by Mike Modest, Donovan Morgan, and the current Ring of Honor Champion - Bryan Danielson. On 01.15.06, only one man will emerge victorious. Will Richards reclaim his status as one of the hottest names on the West Coast? Or will Drago knock Richards further down the WAR ladder and cement himself as the next Pro Wrestling WAR Breakout Superstar?
JACK EVANS vs. LIL’ CHOLO
On 09.02.05, Lil’ Cholo was set to face the man whom many consider the Franchise of Pro Wrestling WAR – Jack Evans. However, a last-minute change prevented the match from happening. The bout was then rescheduled for 10.21.05 but, once more, was shelved when Evans left WAR to fulfill his overseas wrestling obligations.
On 01.15.06, the match will finally happen. Lil' Cholo feels he has been overlooked by all of SoCal and on 01.15.06 he looks to take out his frustrations on the man who many call the greatest high-flyer in the business.
6-Man Mayhem!
BABI SLYMM, THE HUMAN TORNADO, & BIGGIE BIGGZ
vs.
THE YOUNG BUCKS & MARKUS RIOT
Before the show on 12.18.05, Team EPIC (consisting of Gary Yap, Biggie Biggz, and Joey EPIC) - all of whom had been fired over a brutal attack on Pro Wrestling WAR Owner Anthony Maris and Jack Evans on 12.08.05 - attempted another attack on Pro Wrestling WAR Owner Anthony Maris, Glenn ‘Diablo’ Macneil, Jack Evans, Markus Riot, and even Pro Wrestling WAR Announcer Michael Zorrilla. This time, however, WAR was ready.
After a resounding beating, Yap and his two cohorts were chased off. However, it was during the 12.18.05 show when Biggie Biggz made his return to the Gym at the Park. The monstrous Biggz was met with a chorus of jeers at his entrance but wanted to simply plead his case. He stated that he did what he did for the money, admitted his guilt in following Yap, and threw himself at the mercy of not only Pro Wrestling WAR Commisioner Glenn 'Diablo' Macneil, but the fans in attendence, as well.
Diablo agreed to give Biggie a match and, based upon his performance in the match, he would let the crowd decide whether to allow Biggie re-admittance to WAR or to send Biggie packing for good. Biggie's opponent that night wound up being none other than his former best friend - the Human Tornado.
After a brutal anything-goes Streetfight that saw Tornado sufficiently punish his former best friend for aligning himself with Yap and his banned group, the crowd made the decision to allow Biggie to keep his job in WAR. Much to the shock (but delight) of everyone, Biggz had done what many thought impossible - he earned the respect of everyone that night.
On 01.15.06, best friends reunite as Biggie and Tornado face the trio of the Young Bucks – Mr. Instant Replay and Slick Nick – and Markus Riot. Joining Biggie and Tornado in this 6-man WAR will be the one and only Babi Slymm. Of interest, though, is that the last time Slymm and Tornado were in a WAR ring together, it was almost a year ago to the day - 01.14.05 – where they faced each other in a brutal match that saw Tornado viciously beaten and left for dead by the monstrous Slymm, who was managed at the time by the Manager of Champions - C. Edward Vander Pyle. Since then, Vander Pyle and Slymm have gone their separate ways. Will that be enough to erase the resentment built up between the Human Tornado and Slymm? Speaking of resentment, does tension still exist between Tornado and Biggie Biggz after the brutal Streetfight between the two on 12.18.05? Have all hatchets really and truly been buried between all parties? Or will tempers flare and feelings reignite on 01.15.06?
In addition to all of the above action, the High Risk World Championship will also be defended at the show. Be there LIVE as Pro Wrestling WAR presents 01.15.06. The Gym at the Park is located at 1885 North Hacienda Road - La Habra Heights, California - 90631. Bell time is 2:00pm. General Admission is $10.00, with Kids 10 and under getting in for $5.00.
