National Wrestling Superstars Has Another Double-Shot Weekend This Fri. & Sat. 3/12-3/13 In Long Branch & Sayreville, NJ With Former WWE Legend Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, More Ladders & Tables & Chairs, The Nigerian Nightmares & More
It's still nowehere near summertime, but with the snow hopefully gone for good, National Wrestling Superstars looks to heat up the tri-state area with another double-shot weekend this Friday & Saturday March 12th-13th in two of its popular central Jersey venues, headlined by a true TV wrestling legend, former WWE Intercontinental & Tag-Team Champion and Hall-of-Famer Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. Valentine made his mark in the WWE as both a tough singles wrestler and as a tag-team wrestler, perhaps best remembered for teaming with fellow WWE star Brutus Beefcake as part of "The Dream Team", and this weekend he will make his mark once again as a tag-team wrestler.
Friday night March 12th, NWS returns to Long Branch, NJ's Seashore Broadway Gym (404 Broadway, just off Route 36, minutes from the Parkway) with a 7:45pm bell time.
This Friday night, Valentine teams up with former NWS Cruiserweight Champion Mighty Mikey Pacifica and referee-turned-wrestler Sargeant Jimmy Storm in a six-man tag-team grudge match against all three members of The Commandos (former WWE developmental protege "Too Cocky" Kevin Matthews & "The Cold-Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto & NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans).
And speaking of champions, NWS Cruiserweight Champion Jumping Joey Janella will put his title, not to mention his physical survival, on the line when he faces two other top area high-fliers in former champion "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie and the lightning-fast Chikara Wrestling star Frightmare, in the Seashore Arena's first ever Ladders-Tables-and-Chairs Match. And while the cruiserweights may be taking center stage, NWS Heavyweight Champion "Corrupted" Corey Havoc will not have the night off, as he will be in action as well. Also on bill will be the 800+ pound undefeated behemoths, and 2010 J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament Champions The Nigerian Nightmares, who will be looking for fresh victims as they continue to literally tear apart the competition. They will be joined by Tiger Man & Goat Boy, "American Turncoat" T.N.T, and, making their respective Jersey Shore debuts Hillbilly Justin Blackwell and Mister Nick Gregory.Ticket prices are only $18 for adults and $16 for kids & seniors.
Saturday night March 13th, NWS travels just a bit north to Sayreville, NJ's Knights of Columbus Hall (775 Washington Avenue, minutes from Route 9 and the Parkway) with a 7:35pm start.
This Saturday night, Valentine teams up with rising Cruiserweight star Ryan Rumble to take on two members of The Commandos (NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans and former WWE developmental protege "Too Cocky" Kevin Matthews). And speaking of champions, NWS Jersey Shore Champion "G.Q." Myke Quest will defend his title against Sayreville's J.T. Highlander, and NWS Cruiserweight Champion Jumping Joey Janella will be in action as well. And in a bout billed as heel versus heel (that's "bad guys against bad guys" to you and me) as the 800+ pound undefeated behemoths and recent 2010 J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament Champions The Nigerian Nightmares go up against a duo they eliminated on their way to the aforementioned trophy, The Cold-Hearted Playas (Danny Demanto & Vicious Vinny). Also filling out this already loaded card will be the popular Indian Chief Draven, the hated "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie, Philadelphia standout Devon Moore, veteran journeyman Judas Young, plus one of the top tag teams on East Coast today, South River's own BS Express. Tickets are only $19 for adults and $17 for kids and seniors.
Tickets are available by calling the NWS box office at (732) 888-1704
Remaining seats, if any, will go on sale at the door one hour before bell time.
