Did Frank Goodman Steal The Masked Maniac Character?

As everyone knows, former promoter Frank Goodman wrestles as "The Masked Maniac." Frank Goodman is known for his love of old school TV shows using different character names like Bela Legosi, Abe Vigoda, Nosferatu, Bud Abbott, Ted Baxter and other names that he grew up watching on TV when he fake posts on wrestling message boards.

One story Frank always talks about on his hotlines and blogs is how he used to work out with The Road Warriors.

Well check out this video a fan sent me. This is from the Canadian TV show, "Learning The Ropes", (1988-1989) which starred former Superbowl winner & Pro-Bowler Lyle Alzado. What character did Alzado play? A wrestler called "The Masked Maniac".

After watching a few episodes of the show online, alot of the stories Frank talks about are from this show, such as hanging out with Sergeant Slaughter, The Road Warriors and others.

I guess I am right when I say Frank Goodman is not original at all.
