He, is no ordinary Man

And

This is no ordinary Match!

The Legendary “First Lady of Hardcore” LUFISTO!

Ontario’s “Crown Prince of Pure Violence” WARHED!

FANS BRING THE WEAPONS!

Anarchy International Wrestling presents the match no one else dared to!

A hardcore match of such ultra-violent Historical significance that even

The “Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer, will be there to witness the action!

To fully understand the significance of this match, one needs to understand the history of the Ontario wrestling scene. There was a time, years ago, when inter-gender matches occurred across Ontario. Fans thrilled to see men and women compete against each other inside the squared circle. Although women with the skills and courage to wrestle men were few, those who did rise to the challenge were revered by fans. Unquestionably, the most successful of these women warriors was the one who pioneered the concept of mixed combat, LuFisto! The diminutive grappler from Quebec blazed a swath through the rings of Ontario, winning men’s titles, accolades and fame. Her incredible exhibitions of violence and brutality in hardcore matches made her a living legend. Indeed, it was in Ontario that she earned the moniker “The First Lady of Hardcore.”

All that came to a screeching halt for LuFisto in 2002, when the Ontario Athletic Commission, (OAC) decided to enforce an antiquated rule forbidding men and women from having contact in the ring. Why? A wrestling promoter, jealous perhaps, that a rival had scheduled a Tag Team Death match featuring LuFisto, had called the commission to demand they enforce the rule. As it was a formal complaint and the rule was technically still in effect (even though it had been ignored for so long it was almost forgotten) the OAC had no choice but to enforce it and so they banned inter-gender wrestling matches in Ontario. As LuFisto’s entire career at that time was wrestling against men, they effectively banned her too.

Just like that it was over. Ontario fans were denied the opportunity to see their beloved Canadian Superstar in action and LuFisto was denied her right to earn a living in Ontario. Fans in Ontario could only watch from afar as LuFisto, forced to work elsewhere, spread her fame and legend around the world. In the years that followed, other women followed her path. Inter-gender matches became more common, inter-gender hardcore matches grew in popularity and LuFisto became a world wide icon. But she never forgot her fans in Ontario and unbeknownst to many of them, she was still fighting in Ontario, but this time her opponent was not a man in a wrestling ring, it was a Government with an antiquated law that spit in the face of equal rights for women. Never one to dodge a scrap, LuFisto made the decision four years ago; take on the OAC in what would become her biggest match ever. The prize? To take back something she should have never been denied in the first place, her right to make a living. This year, that fight ended and the OAC modified the rule. Inter-gender matches were once again allowed in Ontario. LuFisto was victorious!

But four years is a long time and Ontario wrestling had changed. Wrestling promoters, ever wary of the OAC’s regulatory powers, struggling to survive through an extended low cycle in wrestling popularity, suffering a dwindling fan base and competing in over-lapping territories, had grown to become a cautious group, unwilling to stray beyond “acceptable risk” to promote shows. There were some promoters who carved out successful identities and they remain among the most powerful independents in Ontario today. A few even dared to promote hardcore matches, but never on a large scale because the stink of the OAC’s decision tainted not just Inter-gender matches, but hardcore as well, for it was a cowardly promoter’s attack on LuFisto’s hardcore that was the catalyst for the whole mess. So it came to pass that the announcement of LuFisto’s victory against the OAC excited fans across Ontario, whetted their appetite for the chance to welcome The First Lady of Hardcore and celebrate her triumph by witnessing her unleash her trademark inter-gender violence once again in Ontario rings.

But there was a problem. Ontario promoters seemed unwilling to make the first move, hesitant to fly in the face of four years of OAC totalitarian rule. The fans wanted it. LuFisto wanted it. But, it seemed none of the established feds wished to take the first step, unwilling to step up and risk a possible OAC backlash that could impact their very survival. Who, then, would have the audacity to be the first promoter to reintroduce hardcore inter-gender ultra-violence to Ontario fans? What promoter would be renegade enough to break four years of shame and cowardice? What promoter would have the balls to give The ‘First Lady of Hardcore’ the chance to compete, not just against a man, not just in a hardcore match, but in the most extreme hardcore match possible – Fans Bring the Weapons?

Enter David M Parsons, owner of Anarchy International Wrestling. (IAW) Parsons is an over the top, in your face, type-A personality, infamous in Ontario Indy wrestling. Parsons has one agenda – providing fans a blend of wrestling, hardcore, excitement and violence that is as extreme as his attitude. There is little doubt that there is a history between Parsons, IAW and other Ontario promoters. An obvious smoldering heat of past aggression remains, and Parsons has turned up the flames once again with his announcement of this match for his upcoming show. A show that, although headlined by this historic bout, is also stacked with regular wrestling matches and many more hardcore offerings, as the main event is just one of many ‘Mutilation Cup’ qualifying matches on the card.  Parsons supplied The DOI with this exclusive statement detailing his role in this historical event:

It’s been almost one year since our first Show on May 29th, 2005 in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Now we are coming back, one year from that date on May 26th, 2006, at the Living Legend’s Wrestling Academy "LLWA" in Hamilton Ontario, Canada

Now one year ago, everybody thought we where the joke of Ontario. A one hit wonder so to speak, but guess what? You are all wrong!  On May 26th, Anarchy comes back! We come back hard and all I’ve got to say is: 'Let the Anarchy Rise!'  It will rise with the most hardcore wrestlers in all of wrestling with an appearance of ‘The Innovator of Violence’, Tommy Dreamer and the ‘First Lady of Hardcore’, LuFisto.

Its funny how ironic all this is. LuFisto got banned because she was too hardcore for Ontario. Everybody thought IAW was a one hit wonder and now look at us...  I, David M. Parsons, am the one bringing LuFisto back to Ontario. I'm the one to say to the OAC; you made a mistake by banning LuFisto from Ontario!

Just let me tell you this: When LuFisto comes to Ontario on May 26th, to compete in a Qualifying Match for the Mutilation Cup vs. Warhed, one of the most hardcore wrestlers in Ontario, in one of the most hardcore matches we can think of –‘Fans Bring The Weapons’…  Well, let me just say, something special will come out of this and everybody from all around the world will know why we are anarchy and why we will be International!

LuFisto too, issued a statement about this match (since released on her website: http://www.lufisto.com/ ) Here’s what the First Lady of Hardcore had to say about the upcoming match, David Parsons and her opponent:

I am just thrilled about this match. It'll be my first hardcore match since the famous light bulb match I had against Joe Lider in Mexico and of course, the first ‘Fans Bring the Weapons’ match I ever participate in Ontario.
After the 4 years I waited for a chance to fight again in this Province, I'm just honored that Mr. Dave Parsons and IAW chose me to participate in such a match, especially since I've heard that Tommy Dreamer, a favorite ECW star of mine, has a particular interest in this match on May 26th.

I've never met Warhead before but I only heard great comments about his wrestling and hardcore style. It won't be easy and I know that pain and suffering are definitely in the path ahead of me. However, I'm not scared of being hurt; I'm not scared of the pain.
When people thought I was down, I got up. When people told me I couldn't do it, I did. I see this match as I see life in general. A long battle with tears, sweat and blood where I'll give everything I have to live up to the expectations.
I hope to see a lot of people show up. With weapons, of course! See you on
the 26th! Arigato!

Pain and suffering indeed, as her opponent, Warhed, is no stranger to hardcore ultra-violence himself. The self-proclaimed ‘King of Pain’, an Ontario legend, renowned for his ability to blend technical wrestling with extreme brutality, has carved his road to fame through myriad hardcore battles against anyone willing to face him in the ring. Few would argue that Warhed is not deserving of his spot atop the ranks of hardcore wrestlers in Ontario. He has painted countless Indy rings blood-red in his quest to prove he truly is the ‘King of Pain’ but, he’s never faced anyone quite like LuFisto. For Warhed, this might be the most important match of his career. Mysterious and illusive, the face-painted Warhed often prefers to let his actions in the ring do the talking for him, but he too, recognizes the historical significance of this match and issued this exclusive statement to the DOI:

Let me start off by congratulating LuFisto on her inter-gender ban accomplishment. Congrats.
Now, I've read the results and I've heard the stories. I've done my research. I know all about LuFisto's hardcore past. And
Ontario Indy fans know for damn sure about Warhed's history of violence.
LuFisto seems like the type of woman that can take the pain and give it right back. In my four and a half years of wrestling, this is the first time I've ever wrestled a woman and believe me, I don't even know what to expect from her. Funny thing, it'll almost be like wrestling a female version of me.
LuFisto plays with barbed wire; Warhed plays with barbed wire.
LuFisto plays with thumbtacks; Warhed plays with thumbtacks.
LuFisto risks her health for the entertainment of the fans; Warhed is KNOWN for risking his health for the entertainment of the fans.
I'd like to thank Dave Parsons and the IAW for giving me the opportunity to wrestle LuFisto now that the Inter-gender ban is broken. And I'm even more thankful that it's booked to be a ‘Fans Bring the Weapons’ match. It's going to be interesting to see what kind of pain LuFisto and I will inflict upon each other. Win, lose or draw, it doesn't matter, because it will be a hell of an experience to wrestle the 'First Lady of Hardcore'

And so, the stage is set. On May 26, in Hamilton, Ontario, David M Parsons will present two hardcore icons, LuFisto and Warhed, in a ‘Fans Bring the Weapons’ match. A match garnering so much interest among fans and industry insiders that even ‘The Innovator of Violence’ Tommy Dreamer, has taken notice and will be attending the card. Rumors abound about Dreamers interest in this historical encounter. LuFisto and Warhed have heard the rumors too and both are wondering why Dreamer is watching so closely. Is he coming to observe? Is he coming to scout the combatants or to personally witness history in the making? Or, does the legendary ‘Innovator of Violence’ have darker motives? Efforts to contact Dreamer to provide a statement about his intentions were met with silence. David Parsons says only that Tommy Dreamer is confirmed to make an appearance because he has a “special interest” in the LuFisto / Warhed match.

The wizard of id and the DOI will continue to report on this story and provide complete, comprehensive coverage of this historical encounter, involving three of the most famous hardcore icons in the World.

Fans in Ontario are urged to get their tickets quickly as the venue for this match has limited seating and only a lucky few will witness the carnage live. Tickets are available through: http://www.ticketbreak.com/  or contact IAW at: internationalanarchywrestling@hotmail.com
