- PRWrestling.com reports that IWA's co-owner, Mario Savoldi, closed the promotion's office and took all the equipment, video tape library included, and stored them away in an undisclosed location in the Island.
Savio Vega and Miguel Perez, who also are part owners, found out about this during the week and because of this no Saturday TV show was edited and Telemundo instead aired an old IWA episode.
No word as of yet of IWA's future. The promotion has two events schedulled for the next weekend but no mention of them have been made recently.
- In other major news, after decades of having the Saturdays and Sundays 11AM to 1PM slot in Wapa TV, the network has cut Carlos Colon's WWC show, "Super Estrellas de la lucha libre" in half because of low ratings. The show will now be broadcasted from 12PM to 1PM Saturdays and Sundays.
WWC has an advertisement profit sharing deal with the network, which would now cut in around half their TV earnings.
