Questions

1 - What made you decide to get into pro wrestling and how/where were you trained?

Valentina:I have always loved wrestling, ever since I was a little girl. One day I decided to meet up with Johnny Rodz (owner of WUW wrestling school in Brooklyn, NY) to get some information about joining his school. While we were talking, he asked me who was one of my all time favorite wrestlers. I told him it was Jimmy Snuka. I had liked him ever since I was 3 years old when I jumped off my couch trying to be like him and broke my arm, lol! Then Rodz told me that he had a show coming up and that I could be a valet for Jimmy Snuka if I wanted. I accepted and that's how it all got started. However, I ended up going to a different school in Brooklyn called the LIWF Doghouse. I was trained under the wing of "187" Homicide. He taught me so much and I couldn't have asked for a better trainer.

2 - Tell me about your funniest road story.

Valentina: I really don't have a funny story that sticks out right now, but I usually have a good time on the road…. except when the car breaks down!!! One time, driving back from North Carolina, a group of us stopped in Washington, DC, checked out the Washington Monument and saw the White House. It was something we hadn't seen, so it was a cool stop. Another time, driving home from Philadelphia, I stopped at a Haunted House in the middle of nowhere and it was really scary, but a lot of fun.

3 - Describe your most memorable moment in the business so far.

Valentina: It would definitely have to be going to the Middle East and Alaska to perform for the troops. It was such a great experience because everyone there was so grateful to meet the wrestlers and see the show. I remember that one of the girls came up to me and said "You guys brought a smile to all of our faces today." It was nice to know that we had such an impact on boosting their spirits.

4 - Who are your favorite people to work with and why?

Valentina: I like to get in the ring with guys like "Livewire" Chris Vaughn, Air Paris, and the Ballard Brothers. They are cool guys and have taught me a lot. Some of my favorite people to have in a locker room are Frankie Kazarian, "Devilish" Lee Handsome, and Scott Hudson. They are the most genuine people I have met in this business.

5 - Do you try to pattern yourself after any wrestler?

Valentina: I always pay close attention to the women’s matches in WWE. I try to learn things from each, but I don't try to copy any of them. I think I am different from a lot of the girls out there because I combine a bunch of different styles into one and can adapt to the styles of my opponents.

6 - What is the toughest part about being a pro wrestler, as well as a female in the sport?

Valentina: Dealing with all the nonsense in the locker room. A lot of the guys don't respect the females and think the only reason they are there is to sleep with the boys. They call the girls "rats." Almost every girl I know has been considered a "rat." I knew a girl that was a virgin yet was still considered a "rat." It's pretty much nonsense and I wish there was less of it.

7 - What are your thoughts on the wrestling business today?

Valentina: I think it is unfortunate that attendance is down at most shows, and it's harder to make a living. Hopefully things will turn back around and there will be more opportunities to work in front of a larger audience.

8 - Where do you see yourself in the next 5 to 10 years?

Valentina: I see myself being one of the top females in a mainstream promotion.

9 - Any messages for your fans or ones who are just now being introduced to you?

Valentina: Hey there! I want to thank all of you for the support and I hope you like what you see. I love to meet my fans, so stop by and visit me at a show. Also, check out my website www.myvalentina.com and let me know what you think. Thanx!

10 – Pretend you are an agent. Make a pitch on behalf of yourself to WWE and TNA.

Valentina: Valentina - young, eager, driven, hardworking, dedicated and versatile. A young woman that you can depend on.
